This one came to me in a moment of hearing a piece of particular music I can't remember the name of the song as of right now, but I'm getting off track.
Here is a preview of the story:
It dark, cold and wet. But that tends to happen in a cave after a few days...especially after being trapped for at least a week inside that cave. But I'm getting ahead of myself.
My friends and I have been trapped in here for quite some time now, and although they are getting upset about trying to get out...I won't let them move the rock that has fallen into place keeping us here...I just don't feel its safe.
For those of you wondering who I am....that's not important right now...but what is, is that our world is...gone...is the only way to describe it. Something happened just as the bright circle was rising, and everything...everyone...everywhere died...so far as I know. I think we may be the very last survivors...and that's a scary thought to me.
Well...I suppose for the moment that's all I can say...as there isn't much more to say except...

There is one minor detail I may have neglected to inform you all about...this takes place after the gang of five and all OC's are fully grown.
...what you thought I was going to have children wonder a deserted and dead planet..not a chance! :DD :p

Now aside from the original gang of six...and yes I said six. Why? Cause once fully grown Chomper would've been a very real threat...no matter how much he tried to fit in.

That's right, for every character you play, on your first post you will have to give a brife...or lengthy description as to:
1. where they were
2. what they were doing
3. how they survived the end of the world!
(P.S. And yes, I was going to invite Brekclub85 to join this RP as well...if he can. Which is why he gets Chomper by defualt.)
(P.P.S. If the name is in BOLD text then those are new additions to the cast..jsut to make it easier. :smile)

What exactly is it that ends the world? You know, so i can figure out a way that Ali survives

I had planned on it being THE asteroid that was supposed to wipe out the dinosaurs, which is why everyone believes they are the last group of survivors...but if anyone else has any other ideas, I'd be glad to hear them!

Not sure if I'll be in this but I can do some ideas, though they are note very good.
The 7th movie rainbowfaces could save some by some means, beaming or some other means that the individuals saved do not remember or in such a way that they are not aware they were saved. Perhaps they can be totally offscreen and never actually appear.
An idea similar to Dinotopia, some sort of underground caves that connect to some island somewhere. They may go into a cave for protection then find a cave system that leads them somewhere, maybe when the way out gets covered, a cave in in the first cave they go into and they go deeper, look for a way out, ect.

Maybe it doesn't have to be THE asteroid, there may be other cataclisms that may ocurr, maybe a super volcano (like the one in Yellowstone), it has enough power to destroy anything at thousand of kilometers from the crater... if near enough, it can create massive destruction into the Great Valley and all of the surrounding areas.

@Chiletrek: That is another very wise possibility, as you are right, a Super volcano would indeed have the strength, and force necessary to shatter the earth around it, and force the survivors into the Mysterious Beyond.
@Kor: The underground cave system is another possibility I had not considered...that one may work very well too.
In fact...between the cave in both the valley and Mysterious beyond, the underground cave system and possible 'Rainbow face' intervention, I do believe we have just enough survival methods to begin...I hope...well I'll let the comments speak, tell me...are we ready to go?!

Yeah...it's gotta be the Meteor....I kinda want global destruction...and as few survivors as possible. :angel Just remember two things, one the characters are fully grown, and two...as stated earlier, you have to give a full description of your characters and what they were doing and where they were when the world ended. :DD

Then it will be more catastrophic than I first thought... hmmm, then I may consider this an alternate universe to my own storylines :angel . But you know how this is, it will be an alternate universe for some, but the reality itself for others, so it is spooky nevertheless. If I join, then I must brainstorm a few ideas :blink: .

Hey, after considering if I was in enough role plays as it was, I decided no and I could take on one more :DD
So if it's not too late I'd like to come in with Kit and Twiz and I'll take Petrie if you want, especially since how all three survived works well as one explanation the way I've thought it.
Sorry, going with the idea that Misty died *sniff* well, it makes sense if the world ended doesn't it, shoot I killed off Tylr too! Hold on I need recovery time of what I've done and how could I :lol ok I'm good.
Oh, and one more OC...not sure if he's "big" enough for an inclusion in the list, but a small either voiceless or at the most just talking hatchling, the only one saved (of the brood in question that is), Flip. He'll be explained in the first post assuming he's ok :DD

Hey I'm super super super sorry I dropped off the radar from this, especially since I was playing as Littlefoot. I just got too boggled down with finals from school and graduation I just couldn't get back. I want to come back so badly, so could I get a quick recap of what the heck is going on? :blink: I would really appreciate it, and I will do my best to get back into the swing of things.

My characters were rescued, and Ducky took it really hard when she learned the fate of her family. Longtail was very upset about the whole disaster. The group decided to move on and search for survivors, and then Uncle Cyrix was found. He had saved Tricia, and she was reunited with Cera. Cera seemed to be very upset about the loss of her and Tricia's parents, and Tricia and Ducky tried to cheer her up. Some of Longtail's hatchlings were discovered not long after. As of now, Longtail has found another survivor, but the identity remains to be revealed. In the meantime, the rest of the group is still carrying out a search party...

Hmmmm....it seems we have a problem.
As most of us know by now Nimrod has left the RP section...quite possibly for good, and that leaves a few characters open and wandering the valley for the moment...and several other players have probably forgotten they're playing which is easy to do when you don't have a lot of free time.
...or it could be writers block...that too can kill an RP faster than trolling... <_< But in any case...I'll be sure to go back through here in a day or two, and re-post the character list again for everyone to see. ;)

I went back through and it looks like Raga is playing Cera and Ali. I just mentioned Ali in my last post because I didn't know who was playing as her. I know he's been gone for a while and he just came back, but is he still participating in this?

UPDATE!!! I have received a PM reply from Raga, and he is still playing as both Cera and Ali. If he needs to leave for any unexplained reason, I will temporarily transfer his characters to others who would like to RP as them.

Ok while I wouldn't be pushing my own list of characters, I've only really got three Flip not counted, I'm aware this might push how many individuals can survive a cataclysmic event, still...can I bring in two more?
I'll explain, see I've tweaked a bit with Kit's history to say her mom survived to come to the Great Valley and that also works to give Trip somewhere to go...but none of that's important for here since they both die too
Suffice to say Kit's got a little brother, Pip, I'm imagining hatched about movie V, so he'd be...eh, I guess Pre-teenish?
I said two characters because in my still coming together story of why he was outside the Valley when the chaos hit, I'm playing with the idea of him now making his own way along for any sign of life along with one of his two other cannon peers Danah...but still just playing with that idea.
I'm actually wondering if two such "older kids" who don't know yet who's alive and who's not couldn't be a help if Cyrix still wanted a safe way to convince Longtail for a bit his hatchlings are dead, but then again that plan may not be needed anymore, I lost track :)
but eitherway can they wander about as well?

I have no issues with you bringing in more characters, the more the better I say, just so long as you can keep track of them all. I myself after about five characters have to keep there names down in Microsoft Word. :lol
As it turns out I too am on the fence about Cyrix still going through with the plan involving Longtail's hatchlings.

Ok thanks, and yeah I know what you mean. I can almost always list all my main characters and sometimes have to go down the list and "Yeah, they're here, no they're not..." Hehe

I'm not sure if I'd be totally dedicated to being in the RP and everyone would zoom by it so fast that I wouldn't be able to keep up, but if I could I'd throw in Ptyra.But just so she can possibly be added to the character list (http://landbeforetime.wikia.com/wiki/Land_Before_Time_Wiki/OC/Ptyra)...

Certainly Ptyra! You may bring your OC into the RP. And trust me, most of us only post once, maybe twice a day if we're lucky...so there will be little chance of being left behind.

Thanks. I'm having a bit of an issue with her age at this point, though.
In my fanfiction, when the gang are still children, Ptyra is between adolescent and adult stage (18-ish). She's at the point when she's just barely at terms with who she is as a person. So, at this point in the RP, would she be mid-adult or "old" (like Pterano's age) as the case may be?

If you needed a place (and not to busy group in case of time constraints) to put her in with, me just brining Pip in might help you.
Pip, who would be her cousin, is wandering alone with Dinah and I'd imagine the two are pre-teenish...I think, So they could probably use an adult watching out for them, just if you want.
Or like GVG said, big group works too since it's not too fast paced :D

I has a character I would like to use, an original character of mine. A meat eater/Velociraptor, however, she doesn't like fighting or anything like, tends to be rather friendly actually, unlike her father XD
Her name is Luna, Luna the Velociraptor ^^

Ahem, anyways, if you wish for an update of where they are so far, I guess I can give one. Zaine's been killed by some attacking Sharpteeth. Luna, my character, has run off instead of facing her problems.
Er, not sure what else is needed really. I mean, everyone else is more or less gathered in one spot sort of thing, I believe they're about to head off.

I've talked this over with GVG, but I'm bringing in another character. This one will be very important in terms of helping Longtail. He will be a fast biter, his name is Viega, and he will have important messages for Longtail. Again, I've already talked with GVG about this and he said it's okay. I'll post a bio later when I think up of one, but I'm not sure if I will use this character outside of this RP.

And these three fastbiters I have in the RP now, I've spoken that over with GVG as well....a little insight about them is that they're going to be acting as villain, I suppose you could say.
Well, it's mainly Nero who would be the main villain while the two female fastbiters....hard to say where they would be in lines of villainary....but all shall be revealed as the plot goes on with them ;)

Wow... two years since the last post in this discussion thread. Well time to dust off the cobwesbs and bring this one back! Since this is literally one of two RP's I've started on this site, I would like to see this one receive a proper ending. However before that can even be talked about I still need to know who if anyone is still on board for this RP.
