On episode 4 the canyon of shiny stones, when the mountain is erupting and the gang is running, a huge burning rock impacts the ground not even a foot in front of Littlefoot.  The rock appearantly explodes becuse there is no sign of it after impact.  This would send thousands of little burning shards of rock in all directions so Littlefoot should not have escaped without third and fourth degree burns to most of his body, yet he is unscathed.  Even if there were no shards of burning rock, the impact crator would be so hot that you couldn't be closer than a few feet from it, let alone jump over it seconds after the initial impact.  I split the video and played it frame by frame.  The rock just makes an impact crator and just disappears all together.  I think they should take longer to create these episodes and increase their quality.  What do you think?

TV episodes don't usually get a lot of time to be produced. I don't think it is an option for them to take longer on each episode to fix mistakes. I think they have only about a week or so to produce a single episode, but I could be mistaken.

And besides that, cartoons have been breaking rules since they were first produced.  One of the greatest examples is Wile E. Cyoete cartoons of Loony Tunes.  He gets into various death like situations all the time.  He takes the impact of each one and still lives.

It's no surprise to me that LBT would break a few rules here and there.  After all, most people who do cartoons aren't experts on everything.

You shouldn't worry about stuff like this.  It's just breaking the rules.  It's what cartoons do. :)

Cartoons aren't meant to show reality; they show what reality cannot, and often get some laughs in at the same time.

There are several examples, even throughout the sequels and the original movie, of things happening which the characters couldn't possibly survive. From what little I have seen of the series so far (which includes the Canyon of the Shiny Stones) the quality of the animation is somewhat decreasing.

This can be said about any TV series that is based on a movie.

I don't think it can be said for all series-from-movies....or are you talking just animated ones? I don't know there, haven't seen too many of them. The only one I was ever really a big fan of, Free Willy, wasn't originally animated, only the cartoon was. So if that's what you mean, I'm clueless. I've seen at least one or two movie-to series live action shows that were pretty good though.

Not to mention all of the laws of physics Wile Coyote breaks (my physics teacher brought this up in class).

If that actually happened, i think the kids watching would be traumatized.

well... it follows the "you can't hurt me I'm the hero" rule from RPGS :p

but the one that makes me laugh every time is the log running game episode, Littlefoot and CERA are talking to Mr. Topps about moving the boulder close to the end XD nice job graphics team (FlareTheCharizard has the episode up if you join him as a friend on YouTube, and i even gave the exact second in the comments in the 2nd part of the video)

PIC!
