Title: Animal Trivia
Post by: DarkHououmon on August 07, 2007, 12:56:37 AM
I got this idea a while back after watching another Hunter Hunted episode. Here are the rules: you can post a question about anything partaining to any animal. Once the question is posted, anyone is welcome to join in and post an answer. There will be no limit to how many times one member can guess an answer. If the question is not answered by the next day, whoever posted the question must reveal the answer. Then another member may post a question.

Okay, here's the first question:

The vampire bat is unique among the bat family because it can do what?

Fly in the daytime?  Hey.  Don't laugh.  I'm guessing too. :P:

I am an animal lover, but I don't study them, nor do I have the brain space for all the facts with all this computer info in there. <_<

Sorry incorrect.

If there's no correct answer by 8 PM tonight, I'll reveal the answer and let someone else ask a question.

Oops. Almost forgot about this.

Anyway, here's the correct answer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ukIZRD1mzLg (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ukIZRD1mzLg)

That's right. They can run.

Anyone else is free to post the next question.

I've just never heard of a running bat before.

I honestly didn't know they could run until I watched Hunter Hunted, which showed footage of them running.

Anyway, I'll take a guess at the question.

Two terms for the male fox are dog and tods. A female fox is called a vixen. The babies can be called kits or pups. A group of foxes are called skulk.

you win because I didn't word it properly, other terms are reynard for a male, cubs for babies, and a leash (group of 3), or earth (in their den) for group names

(kit was the "specific" one :p) and I intended for more than 1 group name, but since I didn't word it right, that passes :p

Okay, this time around I'll post an easier question. :p At least I hope this next question will be easier than the last one.

In comparing the amount they can lift with their own body size, which animal is stronger: the grizzly bear or the ant?
