Insane Cafe 4: The Insane Frontier

[Serris]

Dr. Zanasiu, Zachary and Captain Carson arrived in one of the passenger repulsorsleds. The two men were wearing cleaned and pressed military fatigues - as was their usual. While both of them had formal wear, they decided to serve as security - hence the two were wielding shotguns.

Deimos had elected to stay behind. Mr. Bigmouth decided to accompany them; as he had no formal wear, he just elected to come as is. Ms. Swimmer joined them. She had on a simple but elegant emerald necklace along with her two bracelets and her elegant black wood cane.

Both of them were on a repulsorsled en route to Ponyville.

Twilight looked around. Stripetail, Rarity, Applejack, Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy were all present. "Spike, our next mission is to meet the alien ambassadors along with the princess." She then turned to Stripetail. "Stripetail, have your team members arrived yet?"

Lt. Martin, Rainbow, Major Lockie and Rainbow Dash were cruising through the air en route to Canterlot.

"So we gonna be performing as a victory celebration?" Lt. Martin asked.

Rainbow Dash nodded. "Guess you could say that."

[Kor]

"ok, shall I run ahead to make sure everything is ready?" He asked Twilight.

"Looks like the palace is just head." Velma said.

"Neato looking place." Gnash said looking at it.  

"With lots of defense." Brooklyn said.  "Though it can be improved some.  The area doesn't look like there are lots of battles though."

yes they are right here stripetail said. poimnting them ' lets head up to the palace, the princess cshopuld be expecting ' he added as he began walking down the street.,.

Aimee nodded back "Yeah, my team's ready as well, so whenever you guys are ready, we'll follow suit" she told Stripetail in particular, but also Twilight too.

Trixie herself, stood there, side by side with Twilight, head resting on her shoulder lightly.

(Canterlot)

Princess Luna walked into where Princess Celestia was waiting "Sister, I do understand that we are having visitors? Those alien visitors that had shown up a few days ago? Might I just ask what it is we're going to be talking with them about?"

[Kor]

"Hey, I see we're not the only ones here." Gnash said waving to Stripletail's group as they walked around a corner and show them not to far off.  

"Not like Jay Garrick.  The fastest man alive, but still is often late." Jason said.  

Jason and the others waved to them.

"That doesn't make sense." Velma said looking at Jason as they walked along.  

"You don't know Jay." Jason said.

[Serris]

(Canterlot)

Celestia looked out into the distance. "We will be discussing the letter that Spike sent to me. If this 'Chong' is as bad as they say; they may need our help and we may need theirs."

She then smiled. "Besides, first contact with aliens. What could be better for my little ponies?"

At Canterlot, everypony looked to the skies thanks to the roar of jet engines.

Rainbow Dash was the first to land. Immediately after her, Lt. Martin and Rainbow landed on a road that was just long enough for them, earning them several confused stares.

"Hey, Spitfire and I are gonna meet up with princesses along with the other Wonderbolts and talk about that airshow," Rainbow Dash said. "Later."

(Ponyville)

"No need," Twilight said.

"And that's the rest of our representatives," Captain Carson said as Mr. Bigmouth and Ms. Swimmer arrived

"So now that's everypony's here. Ya'll ready to get goin'?" Applejack asked from her position on one of the sleds.

"Damn straight!"

On the captain's command, the sleds lurched a bit and then sped onward to Canterlot.

[MrDrake]

(Canterlot)

"But sister, I remember seeing one of those alien spacecrafts leave our planet, I believe it was yesterday.  What makes you so sure that this Chong is going to be anymore trouble for us?" Luna decided to question next, just a little confused on the whole matter at the moment.

Spitfire was in the courtyard, explaining a few things to her fellow Wonderbolts about the show that was going to be put on, explaining that the alien planes will be part of it, as well as Rainbow Dash too.

Stripetail guided his group into Caterlot, above them Samia And Dulcy flew a bit behind them' we're here everyone " stripetail sm,iled " The Doors are right up those steps. " Be on your best behavior, it is not often you get to meet the ruler of an emntire planet..

[Kor]

Jason's group neared the palace, and stopped a moment to admire the looks of the palace.  Jason used the opportunity to take some holographic pictures.

"Nice looking place." Gnash said.  

"Would be surprising if it were not.  Most castles are kept up if they are in use." Brooklyn said.  "Though I can think of a few things to improve the defenses."

"They may not be needed if the place is seldom at war." Velma said.

"I smell food cooking." Guilmon said sniffing the air in the direction of the palace.

"It's not a good idea in most cases to keep rulers waiting." Jason said
His group started to walk towards the palace.

[MrDrake]

Trixie looked to Twilight for a moment, then looked around the library as her horn started to glow, to which she started to pull a few certain books off their bookshelves "Twilight should go and meet the Princess still, Trixie however....she has an idea" she spoke as the books started to pile up, not that many, like ten at the most, but all of them had something in common, including missiles and nuclear weapons by the looks of things....as well as a few books on enginering.

Fluttershy glanced at the books, then to Trixie as she took a small step backwards.

Trixie shook her head "Fluttershy does not need to worry, because Trixie knows what she is doing, she is going to build one of these" she spoke as she shoved the book in front of Twilight, showing off a nuclear missile on the pages of it "Trixie believes that if that....Chong alien is dangerous, then if Trixie can build one of those, it can be launched at his space vessal and destroying it, taking care of Chong" she spoke, but with a small, childish like smile upon her face as she did so....hoping that Twilight would approve of the idea.

But she then just shook her head after that and trotted over to Twilight again "But Twilight shouldn't worry, because Trixie is certain that she can do this" she spoke as she gave Twilight a kiss on the lips.

[Serris]

[Canterlot]

"Chong took several of our subjects as slaves. We're still cleaning up the damage he caused. And who is to say that he will not return to take more slaves or even conquer the planet?" Celestia said as he horn glowed and a scone levitated into her mouth.

[Ponyville]

Twilight frowned. "I suggest you leave things like that to either myself, the alien scientists or Stripetail. These things are not to be taken lightly."

She then turned to Fluttershy. "We mustn't keep the princess waiting. She then trotted over to the dune buggy waiting outside the library.

[Canterlot]

Rainbow, Lt. Martin and Major Lockie escorted by Dash and a few of the Pegasus Guards landed in the courtyard of the palace where Spitfire and the rest of the Wonderbolts were.

"So you're the newest member of our team?" Soarin' said. He then winked at Dash. "I hope you like pie."

"Yeah so anyways," Dash said. "I'd like to introduce three guest performers from. Uh where were you from again?"

"Earth," Lt. Martin said.

"So here are the three guest performers from Earth!"

"Lt. Gen Martin," the F-16 said as she dipped her snout in respect.

"Rainbow." The F-22's response caused everypony to snicker. "What?"

"Major Martin Lockie," the AC-130 replied.

Dr. Zanasiu, Zachary, Joan (in her ODIN armor) and some ordinary  soldiers with their weapons at the ready but in a nonthreatening position flanked Stripetail, Captain Carson, Applejack and Rarity as they got out of the sled.

A another group of soldiers guarded Mr. Bigmouth and Ms. Swimmer.

The group then solemnly proceeded up the steps to Canterlot Palace.

Everypony present watched in awe as the procession of alien ambassadors accompanied by two of the Elements of Harmony passed through streets and up to the gate.

(Ponyville)

"But...." Trixie began as Twilight and the others headed off as she sighed "Twilight doesn't even trust Trixie...." she muttered to herself as she gathered all the books and took off "But Trixie will still show Twilight...." she added in as she rushed off, books with her.

(Canterlot)

"I was not aware of that one" Luna replied as she sat down beside her sister "But perhaps then, if we are to help out the aliens, that we do send some of our ponies to help them out? Like the Elements of Harmony? And perhaps too, the Wonderbolts if need be?"

(Spire of Winter)

Trixie had made her way onto the ship itself and dumped all the books onto the floor of the enginering room.  She levitated a book in front of her and flicked through the pages "This shouldn't be too hard...." she spoke, though with little confidence to boot.

Her eyes gazed around the rather big room, then to the book, then to the room again.  Her eyes continued to dart back and fourth as her horn continued to glow still, pieces of metal starting to move around the room as if she was slowly starting to get the metal of the nuclear missle together first.

(Canterlot)

Fluttershy was the next to get out as she walked down towards the gates, to which Pinkie Pie bounded after her, stopping right beside Fluttershy as the two ponies walked over to Rarity and Applejack.

[Kor]

"How are we going to get past the guards.  They don't look to friendly." Gnash said.  As they stopped before some palace guards.

Brooklyn shrugged, the usual way."

Jason used a bit of his telepathic ability, having a guard from inside walk up a bit behind the other guards.

"They are expected." He had the guard say, "You can go right in." He said.

"Gee, thanks dude." Gnash said giving him a thumbs up.  

The guards parted and the group walked in, leaving the guard pony a bit puzzled why he had walked over to that spot and said what he said.  He shrugged and went back to what he was doing, thinking he had a good reason to do that.  


Once they were well past the guards Velma whispered, "Is that totally on the up and up?" She asked in ancient egyptian.  

"Sure, we could have gone through proper channels and waited while a guard went in and checked with the paper or however they did it.  This saves time since we are expected here." Jason said, also in ancient egyptian.  

"Nice inside, but how do we find our way inside?" Guilmon said.

"Let's ask her, she looks like she knows her way around here and is smart." Jason said indicating a pony.

[Serris]

[Canterlot - Outside Canterlot Palace]

The group was gathered outside the palace's gleaming marble gates, which, despite the fierce battle that occurred between their forces and Chong only a few days ago, was completely unmarred.

Two armored Pegasi blocked off the gate.

Twilight Sparkle approached. "Halt!" the first guard shouted, blocking the entrance with his flared wings.

"I am Twilight Sparkle and I am here to escort these alien emissaries to the throne room." A rolled up parchment emerged from her saddlebags  and unrolled itself as it hovered in the magenta glow of her telekinesis.

The guards looked it over for a few minutes. Satisfied that it was genuine, they stepped aside and let the group through.

Mr. Bigmouth looked at the elegant tapestries and statues that decorated the main hallway. Its high vaulted ceilings were carved of pure white marble and elegant crystal chandeliers hung from gold chains. "Wow. Simply marvelous."
 
"Ah, it's a bit too frou-frou for me," Applejack said dismissively.

"Well, I say it's elegant. Really Applejack, your lack of fashion sense is downright appalling at times," Rarity replied. She then turned to Ms. Swimmer. "By the way, Ms. Swimmer, you have excellent taste in jewelry. That emerald necklace complements your coat quite perfectly."

"Thank you Rarity," Ms. Swimmer said. "I'm not much of a fashionista. I'm more of a martial artist and dancer." She then smiled. "But who's to say those two can't go together."

"Indeed." Rarity threw a look at Applejack.

(Throne Room)

Celestia drained her cup of tea and placed it on the tray. "I have seen how powerful these aliens are. But we should hold that off until they arrive and we discuss matters with them.

"Your Majesties!" A Royal Guard cantered in and bowed before the two diarchs. "The alien ambassadors and the Elements of Harmony are here!"

"Thank you, send them in."

The guard bowed again and quickly cantered out of the throne room.

[Monstropolis - Scream Factory]

Dr. Kerzach, Nick and a pony slave were at the outskirts of the factory. The air was cool and it was starting to get dark as lights began to turn on across the complex. The open house had ended a few hours ago but the trio had evaded the security.

"Nick!" Dr. Kerzach whispered as he looked around for guards or workers. "Have you gotten through the lock yet? If we don't get these canisters of scream back to Chong, who knows what he'll do to employees!"

[Nick22]

I'm almost.. there' Nick said hearing the lock open. he pulled it off and pocketed it. ok, 5 cannisters and we get the heck out of here. he added opening thew door and bade the others emter ' we probably have 10 minutes before a guard notices the locks off. sop we need to hurry.."

 stripetail strode in a minute later ' greetings, your highnesses ' he nodded ' Lord Stripetail at youur service/ we came to your planet trying to capture the wizard chong, who has captured  our friends Nick Aves and Kerzach. he is no longer in the area but we will still need your assistance..
   scooby and the others were awed by the opulance of the palace, none of them had ever been in a place like this ' i wionder how much all this stuff is worth? agumina gasped " i don't think they have the same idea of money here ' Tiger said " Still its real impressive..

(Monstropolis)

Hailey remained on the Scare Floor herself, still watching as everyone else was busy taking Scream Canisters out to Chong's ship as Waternoose himself approached her.

"Just how many of these Scream Canister is Chong even after?" Waternoose questioned Hailey.

Though Hailey shrugged back "I don't know, he didn't exactly tell me, all he told me to do was get everyone working, getting canisters full of all this Scream stuff, and take it back to the ship.  Heck, he's not even telling me what he even needs it all for"

(Canterlot)

Pinkie Pie continued to bound along until she stepped at the guards and giggled at them, sticking her tounge out and just starting to make face faces at them, only to see them still standing their guard "Oooh, you guys are goooood" she spoke up.

Fluttershy looked to Pinkie Pie and spoke to her friend "Um Pinkie, maybe we should head inside to um, meet back up with Twilight and the others"

"Okie Dokie loki!" Pinkie Pie spoke as she bounded off past the guards with Fluttershy right behind her....only to stop in her tracks as Fluttershy bumped into her.  She quickly placed a hoof around Fluttershy and again, gave her a kiss, right on the lips...though for no real reaosn at all.

Fluttershy in turn, just seemed to blush at that as she looked to Pinkie, but yet, didn't seem to say a word as she then watched Pinkie bound off again, giving off a small huff to herself "I wish you'd stop doing that all the time Pinkie...." she spoke to herself as she followed Pinkie inside.

(Spire of Winter)

"No, no, no, no....Trixie doesn't even know what that is....not sure if it belong in it...." Trixie spoke to herself as she started going through the different items that she had gathered up, tossing stuff she didn't need aside.

Already, it was starting to get difficult for the unicorn, yet, she just seemed to refuse to even give up, despite not even making any real progess in starting to build the nuclear weapon.

[Kor]

Jason and his group walked along, looking at the scenery as they walked towards the throne room.  They, especially Jason & Guilmon, were use to the imperial palace and the lesser palace of Jason's on Korodos, and Sara's so seeing such fancy stuff they had seen before.  

"Nice." Guilmon said.  

"Wish I had a camera." Gnash said.  

"No need, my wrist computer has been taking 3d pictures and video this whole time." Jason said.  "I'll have pictures and dvd's for whoever wants them after a bit."

"Nice what you did for the flower arranger pony." Brooklyn said looking over at Jason.

"She was just letting her nervousness at being new to the job get in the way of the inner gift she had.  A slight telepathic suggestion helped, but she would have eventually learned how to do that herself, I just saved her some time." Jason said, shrugging and not thinking he did much.

"And she didn't comment on us being aliens." Gnash said.

"She didn't notice.  But if she thinks back to the incident she'll realize then.  realizing who we were would likely have just made her more nervous.    She thinks we were some background ponies, pages or somesuch like that." Jason said.  

"Looks like we've arrived." Velma said as they arrived at the doorway to the throne room and waited to get announced before walking inside.

all of stripetails team took seats at a long table set up in front of the throne a light refreshment was set up for them, to munch on while they talked business..

 '" This is quite a palace' Tarrax said ducking so his head doid not hit the ceiling.. ' it truly built for royalty..

[Monstropolis - Scream Factory]

Dr. Kerzach hoisted one of the canisters and secured it to the pony's back. The canisters were fairly heavy but Dr. Kerzach was quite strong.

He muscled another canister onto the pack harness the pony was wearing.

[Canterlot - Canterlot Palace Throne Room]

Dr. Zanasiu, Joan, Zachary and the ordinary soldiers guarded the door.

Captain Carson sat down on one of the cushions (ponies didn't use chairs).

Celestia cleared her throat as a unicorn servant trotted into the throne room with a tray of refreshments. "Shall we have a light snack before we start our affairs?"

Captain Carson politely declined. "Your Majesty, as our commander has said, the mage Chong has captured two of our companions and several of your subjects."

"I understand, but your kind can travel the stars with impunity, we cannot hope to match your power," Celestia replied.

"If I may, your majesty, we're not expecting you to send your entire military force with us. All we need is a waystation of sorts where the crew can rest, relax and prepare for upcoming missions."

"I see. How will this benefit Equestria?"

"We promise to aid you in times of war or other calamities."

Celestia nodded and turned to the Elements of Harmony. "I see you have already assisted them in their missions. Do you wish to continue?"

"Hay yeah!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed. "If we want them to help us, we should help them!"

Twilight looked at Stripetail, Captain Carson and the ODIN trooper by the door. "Their technology is astoundingly advanced. In addition, if I am correct, they have mages among their rank; I wish to join them and learn about their culture and technology."

Applejack looked around. "Ah, dunno. Ah'm up for adventure but ah'm not sure ah can leave mah family behind."

Captain Carson turned to Applejack. "If your family wishes to come, ee have no issues with that."  

Rarity flicked her mane out of her face. "I say that we should help them. After all, they were willing to help save Ponyville from the changelings."

Celestia digested this information and turned to Luna. "Your thoughts?"

Stripetails walkietalkie buzzed ' Hello wizard. Its briggins. heard from some of guests that chong escaped again and you and the rest of your fanclub are after him again. Wizard if I may make a suggestion.. put Choing six feet under so he doesnt escape a third time.. Oh and if those woves of yours are within in earshot, their kid and her gandparents checked in yesterday, they are staying in room 304. I'll check in from time to time now that i got your frequency. " hows business?' Stripetail said. 'booming, he set up a "treasure Hunt Tour thsat retraced the steps we took to find all the clues to breaking the curse. the ballroom has been estiored and we have dancses every friday night along with a ghost band and singing contests. The great Valley sends in some of its residents on vbreak every couple of weeksm, they are a big hit with the kids.."
