Claw looked into the split in the ground and he couldn't repress the shiver when he saw the deep of it. If Chronicled won't make it then he will be hurt for sure by the fall. Claw turned around to stop fastrunner, to tell him they should think of any other way to get across. It was too late however. Chronicler was already too far away to hear him.

I'll just restate my ideas, in case if anyone had forgotten.
My group is currently going through a small canyon. About halfway through, the come across a split in the ground, probably due to an earthshake, and they have to find a way to get across. I won't give any details, but what happens is that Chronicler barely makes it to the other side, then pushes over a dead tree to allow the rest of the group to get across. The group arrives at Ruby's old home just before sunset and Ruby takes them to the tree where they get the cure for Claw.
 

Wouldn't it be better, if Ruby was the one to do it? After all, she is quite used to running and jumping, as she had been living in dinosaur form through her entire life.

"<Hello, Cutter. Nice to meet you,>" Claw said to Chomper's old friend, hoping that his sharptooth speech was good enough to be understandable. He was curious since when and where Chomper and Cutter knew each other, since a great story might be connected with this fact. If that was the case, then he would be glad to listen to it, since it would focus his mind on something else than the reason for this journey.

Arvens was clearly and understandably confused by both Cinankhen and Neltita, "What are you two talking about, in Frith's name?! What friend do you mean, Neltita?"

"The mouse that guided us into the ruins. Meadrah. She was killed by the weasel," doe answered, her voice shaking.

"How do you know that?" Arvens asked. He wasn't sure, if he believed her.

Eventually all rabbits had left and Whitetail was able to climb down the tree. He looked around, making sure that the longears were really gone. Then he walked to dead body, which was lying on ground. He smiled. At last, he will be able to satisfy his hunger with rabbit's meat. He was about to sink his teeth in the corpse, when he heard a growl behind him. As he quickly turned around, he saw a fox closing in, giving Whitetail a clear warning. Weasel hissed angrily, but he wasn't stupid. There was no way he could fight with the fox, so he just run into the building and once inside he looked out. At that moment, he saw fox carrying dead rabbit's body and running off, probably to his own den.

"Typical. You do all the hard work, you risk your life and then someone else takes away your prey," Whitetail snarled. He was so frustrated, that he almost didn't hear a small voice coming from some corner of the ruined chapel:

"Cinankhen? Arvens? It's me. Meadrah. Where are you, rabbits?"

Hearing that, Whitetail forgot about the incident with that stinking fox. He crept towards the source of the voice and he saw a mouse. She wasn't aware of his presence, so he used that opportunity, jumping at the mouse swiftly. She didn't have a chance.

"Mmm... This night isn't so bad after all," Whitetail said with a cruel smile, as he started his feast...

"You are right about that, Chronicler," Claw agreed with fastrunner "However, we all usually have enough luck to avoid the worst. Besides... After last battle sharpeeth have a few good reasons not to actively look for prey. Assuming they don't desire revenge, of course."

There had been many dead on predators' side after the recent fight, Claw thought, which meant less sharpteeth to worry about. Maybe those of them that survived the battle will feed on carcasses of dead dinosaurs and will be too busy to go hunting on Ruby/Chronicler/Chomper/Claw group?
