Well, the trailer finally dropped. All I'll say is, a certain toy that was MIA in the last movie is back.

Well, let's see how this one is.

Don't even need to go see it, I feel like I just saw the whole film in that trailer

I have a feeling Bo is going to be the villain.

Well I'm definitely pumped for this. I was a big fan of the first three, so I'll have no choice but to go check this out. :)littlefoot

I must admit that I'm not much of a Toy Story fan anymore. To me the first and second movies were the best and then it got boring after that. But who knows, I might give the fourth one a chance later.
-
I'm on the fence with this. Pixar wrapped up the series quite nicely with 3 imo.
-
Despite my excitement, there is a part of me that's a tad wary. But I remember a lot of people were doubtful about Toy Story 3 before it came out, and it turned out to be really good. I'm casually optimistic that Pixar will be able to pull it off once again.
-
I'm quite worried about this movie. I felt like 3 finished off the series perfectly so I really think that you can only go down from there. Fingers crossed it turns out alright.
I have a feeling Bo is going to be the villain.
That might actually make some sense and having a well known character play the villain might help the movie out.

If nothing else, I think it'd be a lot of fun to see Woody and the gang round up for one more adventure.

Problem is, that's what "Toy Story 3" was supposed to be.
-
Sure. And why not one more? :Mo
If Pixar genuinely feels they have a good idea for a fourth movie, then I'm down for it. Besides, Toy Story 3 was nine years ago now.

Because it IS possible for a film franchise to overstay it's welcome.

True. But I have faith that it won't come to pass, and that we'll get yet another great Toy Story film.
Even if the worst happens and Toy Story 4 is an absolute disaster (which I think is unlikely), oh well. It won't erase the three great movies that we already got.

Yeah, but Pixar isn't the studio it once was, either. "Incredible 2" sucked big time.
-
I strongly disagree. I thought Incredibles 2 was great. I enjoyed it almost as much as the first.

I liked "Incredibles 2" better when it called "Mr. Mom".
-
Each to their own. I liked that they reversed Bob and Helen's roles from the first movie. And Bob made for a cute househusband. :)

Ugh. I didn't want more household hijinks. I wanted them all to go off on an adventure together from the get-go. We got enough of the domestic crap in the first movie.
-
Well hopefully we'll get all of them going on an adventure right away whenever Incredibles 3 comes out.

Wait, what? There's a third movie coming? :p
-
Nah. There's no third movie coming. At least not yet. That's just the fanboy in me being hopeful.
Brad Bird did mention the possibility of a third movie though, since there were ideas he had for Incredibles 2 that he wasn't able to implement due to lack of time.

Ah, okay. I just got taken off guard for a second. I haven't seen the second movie yet, even though I loved the first one.
-
I had a lot of fun with Incredibles 2. One of Pixar's better films, imo. Although I am rather biased towards Incredibles and Toy Story in general. Those and Inside Out are my favourites of Pixar's.
-
So, finally watched it for the first time. On Disney Plus of all things.
I wouldn't say I hated it, but I am more disappointed by a few things. I would say that this was a good way to end it, (And yes, this ends things completely. There is no going back with how they ended it.) but if we ended with 3, it would have been better. I feel like I have to go into Spoilers just to explain my problem. A part of me doesn't want to though. I will say that this was the worst of the 4 Toy Story movies.
I really wish this was better, but what are you going to do?
So yeah, this is it. It ends here, and it's been quite the ride. Even though it had an end that was a bit disappointing, it was a good one. I for one enjoyed it.
That's all from me. See ya later! :wave

I haven’t seen Toy Story 4. I read they ruined Woody’s character. For me Toy Story 2 will always be the apex of the franchise.
Zurg: No Buzz.. I am your father.

I didn't feel they ruined Woody at all. I'd say he was the best developed character of the film, in fact. But yeah, I agree with pretty much everything pokeplayer984 said. The film was enjoyable, but I did find it to be a significant step backward from the previous three, and kinda underwhelming all in all. Which is a bit ironic considering that Toy Story 4 was one of my most anticipated movies of 2019, but oh well. Interestingly, I saw the film with my mother and she loved it. She said she liked it the most of all four movies.
Toy Story 3 is still my personal favourite, and probably my favourite Pixar film in general. :yes
