I was wondering if some have various favorite anime and may enjoy talking a bit about their various favorites or just some you've seen.  While, hopefully, avoiding wither dubbed or subtitled is better, that many anime fans seem to argue about.

I've seen some various types such as:

Akira,
Casshan the Robot Hunter
Gunsmith Cats
Record or Lodoss War (seen some of both but not all of either)
Rune Soldier
Spirited Away
Starblazers (not seen all of the series yet) + movie version
Vampire Hunter D + Bloodlust

And some others.  Didnt' want the list to be to long.  May add some later.

I guess the list can include tv episodes and movies.  I haven't seen much.

- some of Miyazaki's work (Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, Nausicaa, Laputa, Totoro)
- Wolf's Rain (whole thing)
- the early seasons of Pokemon
- some of Cowboy Bebop

That's about it.  I won't touch a lot of the fighting ones.

I forgot about Trigun, I've seen the first 4 or so episodes, seemed a good anime.  Need to get back to watching the rest of the series.

I haven't seen much of the stuff in my life and I haven't liked it much, but here's what I've seen:

Pokemon
Inuyahsa
Blood +
Full Metal Alchamist(God I can't spell)
Digimon

I'd have to say that inuyasha has to be my favorite and digimon my least favorite.  I don't really like any of them too much though.  Nothing like LBT in my book :D

I've only seen three anime shows: Sailor Moon, the Dragonball trilogy, and Pokemon.

All three are extremely repetitive (but isn't that some sort of cutural norm for the Japanese?), but they all have their interesting characters. I have a tendency to like the antagonists, specifically the first ones that appear on the show. For a while I was re-watching Sailor Moon, both subbed and dubbed, up until Jedite was crystalized...I kind of liked it - I thought Jedite was a neat character. Getting run over by a jet only left him limping.

As for Dragonball, I only (if accidentally) managed to catch any of the episodes having to do with the Red Ribbon Army, whether it be the army itself, Dr. Gero and his androids, or Super 17.

As for Pokemon...well, I'm still watching that - the newest season, Diamond and Pearl, is completely unpredicatable and the writers are practically breaking traditions at nearly every turn! The Characters-of-the-Day and all the Pokemon actually have personalities, plus there are formidable Hunters like J, who turns Pokemon into gold and sells them for profit (she managed to capture Ash's Pikachu, Team Rocket's Meowth, an Absol and a Gardevior in less than 10 minutes), and real jerks like Paul (watch Diamond/Pearl season episode 51: "Chimchar vs. Zangoose! Battle of Fate!" to see how harsh with training he can be).

As for movies, so far I have seen Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, Nausicaa, Totoro, Kiki's Delivery Service, and Howl's Moving Castle...I might have missed a few, though...

I just mainly watch Pom Poko.  It's a nice anime movie about a group of transforming tunakis (racoons in the dubbed form).

Has anyone here seen inuyasha?  It's a lot better than I thought it would be.  It would have to be my second favorite "animated" show besides LBT, even though it doesn't even come close to it in the race for my favorite show.  I downloaded all 167 eps and I'm quite impressed by the animation.  Being able to understand the Japanese version helps a lot.  It's a lot better than the translated version of it cuz you get a better perception of the characters.

I don't actually like a lot of anime, at all. I've sampled far more animes than what I listed, but I just listed the ones I liked. Anime is just not my genre.

Is it any one thing you dislike, or just anime in general.  Everything can't appeal to everyone afterall.  I like certain anime, but I have to overlook certain things like the large eyes and a few other things.

It's hard for me to pick just a few anime as my favourites, but I supposed I'd go with:

Gankutsuo - The Count of Monte Cristo
Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann
Fullmetal Alchemist
Nerima Daikon Brothers
Ouran High-School Host Club
Ghost in the Shell: Standalone Complex

Never watched inuyasha.  Maybe over Christmas break or something I'll go browse the fansub communities.  Not the first time I've been told its not that bad.

167 episodes?  Sounds like it tells a very long story.  I've only heard of 2 others that may be about that long, isn't Ranma 1/2 long, and Gatchaman is 105.

I'm quite a fan of the following,

Elfen Lied (gruesome, but beautiful)

Ginga Densetsu Weed

Ginga: Nagareboshi gin

Wolf's Rain

Grave of the Fireflies (WARNING: over-sensitive hearts do NOT watch!)

A lot of Miyazaki films

I'm surprised that I forgot to add Sonic X to the list. It is considered anime, isn't it?
