Captions usually are very short. that was a well-written role-playing post. :)  At most captions should be two-three lines in length. they're supposed to be short funny quips..

My question to you The Friendly Sharptooth:

Was I reading a Littlefoot&Ali Love Scene or a couple getting married scene?

I'll tell you this now, seeing what I have, you have the freaking talent to make a love story of your own.  I work hard to make the scenes I do for weeks in my fanfiction and this only took you three freaking hours and was practically off the top of your head?  Your stuff rivals with mine for crying out loud! :o

Seriously speaking, you really could make a great story if you just went and did one yourself.

You've got the talent, I can tell. :)

Agreed.  The Friendly Sharptooth, you've got talent for romance writing indeed :yes.  Don't give a crap about anything negative others may say.  Writing romance stories does not constitute a male as a sissy in my book ;).  In fact, I like males who do not hesitate to expose their sensitive side.  I'm sure there are many other females out there who would agree.  Keep up your writing, for it looks like ya have a lot of potential for becoming a published writer someday :yes.

Ali: "Littlefoot, I've got a secret to tell you."

Littlefoot: "What is it, Ali?"

Ali: "I'm so drunk right now."

Littlefoot: "Uh, that isn't a secret.  The bouncer just helped me pull you off the table and escort you out."

Ali: :oops

Littlefoot: "Say what?!"

Ali: "Oh, nothing, handsome."

(In response to Nick22, pokeplayer984, and Cancerian Tiger, who in this topic spoke very highly of my first romantic attempt, which I used here)

First of all, I must thank you warmly for compliments on my writing here, even though it was my first romance scene and thus was choppy. I'm glad you enjoyed it, but as of now, I will not be responding in the "Caption This!" thread again. No one told me that I shouldn't, it's a decision I came to on my own. I was going through many of the topics in this, and after I gave it some thought, although I'd still like to, it won't be possible for me to write here anymore. Of course, I still want to work with these pictures, and therefore I've been copying the caption pictures onto my computer and filling them out offline and simply saving the results there. If you guys would like to see my results, I could send them to you, but e-mail is out of the question since I tried it to myself and the pictures wouldn't come through. I can't post links to them; let's just say they don't have internet addresses. So while I'll keep responding here, you just won't see them unless you want to.

On another note, I just wanting to clarify something so that nobody gets the wrong impression of me. My response to this caption, just like my other one in "Mama Sharptooth and Chomper" was written by me and no other, I was the one who first used that answer, but I didn't think of it without help. While I alone made that answer, it isn't like I thought of it out of nothing. So far, I am having extreme difficulty coming up with my own ideas from nothing, you know, just sitting there and starting a story plot in your head, like pokeplayer984 with "Littlefoot and Ali Adventures" and- if I remembered right- Cancerian Tiger with "A Day of Rememberance." Right now, the only way I can write a story is by using a picture as a reference, like I do in these captions. Without the picture provided here, I never would have thought of the scene I wrote in response to it. Look, you know the saying, "A Picture is Worth a Thousnd Words"? That is all that will allow me to write. A picture has many stories hidden inside of it. They are shown through the art and the result just differs with each person. I can't think of stories yet; all I can do is look at a picture for a possible explanation it provides, and simply put that into words. If you want to give credit for my caption, give it to the picture itself, since it already had this response inside of it and I merely dictated it. While it is kind for you guys to say, I don't have the talent to write like you guys do. If you want to say I have talent, it can't be thinking of words to say, but merely being decent at finding words to say that were just displayed through an image first. Honestly, except for ones that I had a picture to go by with, I have never finished a story in my life. My brain has yet to learn to create ideas, so I can only transfer pictures into stories. Still, it was very nice of you to say such things and it did make me feel very good when I read them. In fact, I even copied your three compliments onto my computer since I enjoy reading them so much.

I do have one method in mind for posting my caption responses here, but I don't feel comfortable about it right now, and I may never, so please don't count on it. If you would like to see my responses in the future, and you know a way to send them completely intact, I'll make sure you see them. In fact, I wrote a first draft to the first caption I not only wrote for but provided images for as well. I called it "The Return of Love's Desire" and it is actually the sequal to my response to pokeplayer984"s "Littlefoot to Ali" caption. I was going to send it to pokeplayer984 through e-mail, but the image part would not work and it would need to since the pictures I used actually are numerous throught the dialogue and are actually needed to view to understand the words I put, since they make referrences the pictures constantly make possible to understand fully. And once again, since this was just a continuation, the credit for this caption of mine can be traced back to pokeplayer984's original picture, since I couldn't think of the continuation scene without the first one it provided for me. So I love all the thoughtful words so far, but please continue to stick with the "potential" thing until I can actually write. Later!

TFs, I INSIST that you reconsider. Where many of us see a quicjk quip, you see the very SOUl of the picture. its many meanings, anbd complexities. That is imo a rare gift, and one that is easily lost if you don't keep working at it.. its the same with any talent, if you don;t work st it, you'll lose it eventually. And we, the audience, would be poorer for it.

Wow, thank you for that. I didn't think of it like that. I would love to keep posting here, it's just that, as you said, the other ones here are short, witty scenes. The thing is, I have looked through several topics here, and all of them are fairly short. I have no problem with that, especially since I enjoy so many of them greatly. My reason for feeling it's not best for me to continue here is just that, since short is how it has always been, and nobody has complained about that, that must be what people prefer when they visit this and like the best with captions. I have looked over numerous pictures here, and have honestly tried, but I can't resist an actual full fledged scene. I try a few sentences but just keep finding more to add until I get what you've seen. I'm not sure if these would be more suited in the fanfction and art section, but I'm still not comfortable with the thread starting thing on my part, as I mentioned before. But I still work on the ones here, just offline after I copy them onto my computer. Until I get things worked out, I can send you and any others what I write with these, provided you have a method to do so while keeping the pictures intact. I didn't know you were THAT fond of my work or my methods in completing them. Since writing is my favorite past time beside reading, I can't help but put everything into it when I do so. I appreciate your further compliments on this and I would send my first draft of my newest caption work if you'd like to see it and know how I could send it. Of course, if you have important things you're doing, don''t ask to see it for my sake. Thanks again. Later!

its common practice to do short replies, but if the caption is long, well-written and detailed that is fine as well. Indeed you see more that way, than you do with a short quip. I guess people prefer short  lines because most can't keep pouring thought into  it for extended periods.  The way you do, is best suited for a story. there you can go into great lurid detail, and let the reader imagine as he or she wills. Great literature can take us to any time and place..and we follow the characters along, as if we are seated alongside them on a train, or sitting behind them in a carriage and catching their conversations as if we overhear them by accident. as for sending it, you can send it to my email address via email. Just attach it to a short message, and there I can open the attachment  and see it..
