This is a drawing of a character from a book series called warrior cats. This here is Scourge and my, is he a bad boy! (I apologize if the image is too big)

The next one I have for you is an original character of mine. She's not a cat, I must inform you, although it seems as if at first.

She is actually a species that I made up, called Calin (Calins for plural.) (cal-leen) It is an open species if you are interested. Indeed, I am better at drawing furry things!

I didn't want to explain all too much right away, so I'll just give you a quick summary.
There's not much backstory to her since she's not the main character of my franchise. But all you need to know is that she's got a bad a*s personality. She adopted a small Calin and named her Clippy. As stern as she can be, Grace is just your average caring mother, but don't screw up in front of her, you might regret it. :bolt She now has three children and a husband who was later murdered. oof...
But in the end, she died from falling off a cliff after Clippy, her own daughter, pushed her off. (she didn't know there was a cliff behind Grace, she only meant to push her aside. ) But hey, at least she's with her husband now :rhett_smile
In this world, its set in modern time. Calins were one of the earliest mammals. Calins try to stay away from the humans, and for a while they lived apart.
Some Calins have powers, isn't that cool? It's kinda random though. And depending on if the parents have powers, the offspring will carry on traits of their parents.
I plan on making a comic out of these stories and maybe in the future I'll produce my own movies for them!

I can "double post" because I am the author of this thread. Double posting is like leaving an unecessary comment. You can reply to threads as much as you want, just don't spam is what it is. Maybe someone else can explain it better than me.

Forum etiquette can be interesting sometimes. Not that I'm an expert on it, but double posting generally deals with a situation in which something can either be corrected in the original post, or does not add anything new to the current conversation. So a new post in rapid succession can be something along the lines of making separate posts responding to previous people one at a time when one post with multiple quotes or @ can do. If you need to correct something that you said you can also edit your post with something along the lines of "[EDIT] <insert edit to comment here so people know you've added something>". Those are the situations in that immediately come to mind anyways, and seeing a bunch of new comments on discussions with no additive substances can possible irritate others and may come across as attention seeking.
A similar type of real world analogy to this would be if you've ever seen a kid raise their hand to ask a question in class and respond with "nothing" when the teacher calls on them, that's the similar kind of annoyance that can happen with a double post.
The reason Jewel's new post here doesn't count as a double post as it's adding something completely new to the conversation that is different from her previous post. A lot of fanart topics and such do this to keep all the person's art consolidated in a single spot to reduce clutter and confusion.
Hope that clears things up a bit. Also not trying to call you out in particular GT as I don't frequent the forum as much as I used to, just trying to explain things.
Anyways, back onto the topic on hand, I love doing quick sketches like these, they're really good practice without committing a lot of time. Both drawings capture the expressions quite well! If I had to pick...I'd maybe go with the flustered one, as I feel it's a less seen emotion. Great job! :bronGoodJob

An interesting pattern here is that although your characters they tend to have a lot of attitude that makes you think twice about taking them lightly, but they're still consistently endearing. By the way, is How to be a Human's Pet online anywhere?

You flatter me! No, I haven't even started this said comic, I've been tweeking some things and making character designs for it. I've even decided to change the name of the story, but I haven't figured one out yet. Glad that you were interested though!

Ah, so she has some kind of elemental power. Ooh, the pose is quite dynamic, and you added shadowing and more detail to the ice's form! The blowing of her cape looks epic. If you're concerned about image size, there is a way to control that by adjusting the "[img]" area before the image link by typing "[img width=(insert pixel number here)]".

Whoa ... you are incredibly fast! I take considerably longer to make something like this. Very cute! From what I've seen of Firepaw, most people interpret him as a generic ginger cat, but you gave him a really good, unique colour scheme!

Hellooo! This was a fun art trade I did with the amazing Mr E!
I designed a little critter in the shadows. He's supposed to be a kangaroo rat, but I feel like I didn't make the feet big enough.
First is some concept art and the second one is a slightly more rendered piece. I'm not that great with backgrounds, so I didn't include one, sorry. Feels good to finally finish this, he has a myserious personality, but in the end it's not actually his fault since he's being manupulated by cats. It's an interesting story, and I hope it becomes of something!

I gasped when I saw this! You really nailed the feel, and took into account all the pertinent details, from needle/sword slinging to eyes that glow when he's closing in on a target! This is a great first look on the character, and the more detailed rendering is quite moody and atmospheric. Great poses too. Thank you so much!
