Character Discussion / Chomper's Parents

I don't think such an "arrangement" could ever be made. Think about it, Ali's herd (or the like) passing nearby the Great Valley to be attacked by Chomper's parents. We do not really talk of a case of petty political correctness here but (nature's design that it is) about the killing of dinosaurs.
It has always struck me as a little odd that Littlefoot, after all he has gone through in the original movie, seems to be so absolutely without any reservations whatsoever on this matter. I think it would make for some interesting elements and possible character development if he did not forget so entirely and completely about his mom in the presence of Chomper. I do not think that Littlefoot (or any of the others) could with an easy consciousness condemn others to the same fate as Littlefoot and his mom.
I have often thought about a story about food running out on the LBT 5 island, Chomper sending kind of a "goodbye message" to the Valley (through a flyer he captured but spared in exchange for that flyer carrying the message to Littlefoot), and Littlefoot and the others ending up on the horns of a dilemma when considering when they have to decide between letting a friend and his parents die and condemning many more others to death by helping them. With this being a dilemma to harsh to solve (and with little that the Gang could do on behalf of Chomper's large parents) something beyond the control of the characters (e.g. water receding before the onrush of a tidal way thus opening up a temporary route of escape from the island) would make the question obsolete before it was answered.

PS: As for tolerating two grownup sharpteeth in the Valley I would love to see how Cera's father would be convinced of that one :lol
I would have really loved to see him (and to a lesser degree the other grownups too) being told about Chomper and letting him stay in the Valley.
I would have loved for them to have made an epsiode like that. That would be soooo much fun. Mr. Threehorn would be like O.o "What?!?" it would be awesome. So funny.

I would have liked to see more of Chompers parents. Heres a thought I would to have liked to hear about how they met. That would be cool. Also yeah...there are a lot of holes in how or why they asked Ruby to look after Chomper.
(I haven't seen every episode in the series so if they have explained that please let me know.)

I love the sing along songs. I even put a load of the tracks on a CD and listen to it on the way to college. So I like to listen to them, what I like and no one can stop it  :lol

Some ppl don't like some of the songs but you EVEN said to Avrens you think the Bestest Friends song was a touching song that even you said to me that it right song for the right moment. maybe you forgot that you said that to me, but I remember it.  :)

That would be interresting for Cera to cry. About what is the question. *Thinks about it* O.o...I haven't a clue what could possible make her break down.

Remember she had some issues with her dad in LBT Movie 3, and 11.  I believe the only way for her to breakdown is by her Father.  Reason is that she look up to her father (:( the only Triceratops around) and it can be pretty hurtful to know that your own Father or Mother can put you down or worse not making you number #1 in there Lives.
That is true. I never thought of that. I saw the movies, but never looked deeper into it. Yeah...that woudl be a lot worse then friends or random people making fun of you. So you got a really great point there. Thank you! Yay toast!!!

Land Before Time TV Series (2007) / episodes you wished they had thought of

I have this thing for dramatism, so I realy like to see dramatic scenes, especially those that leave you heart-broken for a while, but it actualy ends well. But the feeling remains for the whole of the episode, that's the episodes I absolutely can't miss.
Sure, one could say it's just me wishing for some character to be harmed or seen suffering, but actually, I simply have this strange preference for those parts where it does suffer but deserves it, and it ends up well. That's a valuable lesson for anyone.
okay, I'm with you on that one. I love dramatic scenes. To me that is the highlight of the episode. It is because you get close to the characters, and when you see them hurt...you hurt too.
I can't that I do not like to see them suffer. It's not because I'm a weird person that way...it just adds onto the dramaric effect to me. You will get that a lot from me. I love cartoons, and watch a lot of different type of cartoons. I started watching Buzz Lightyear of Star Command because of the episode NOS-4-A2, and only the episodes with him because of how dramatic it is. It was just the thought of what he did to XR that got me.
Back on subject.. Land Before time....I also liked the scene in The Lonely Journey where Grandma Longneck and Tria(I think I got this person name right, but if not please correct me) were talking bad about sharpteeth in front of chomper, and he got hurt by it. It made me want to cry for him. I was getting excited because I thought the episode was going to expound on that scene a little with all the Dinosaurs living in the great beyond and how they view him, which goes into the episode I wish they did. (If they did make an episode like that please tell me. I know The Lonely Journey does work with that theme, but not with everyone in the great valley like I hoped)
I wish they made one where they drove Chomper away, and then they feel bad, and get him to come back. Thar would be an episode filled with awesomeness for me. Sorry if that sounds really sad. It's true though. but not with chomper wanting to teach other Sharpteeth how to be nice. Like they would really hurt his feelings to the point where he doesn't want to see a leafeater ever again, but in the end they're all friends again.
I not sure if I'm explaing that right. If you don't get...I'm sorry. I knwo what I want to say, but can't always make it to where everyone knows where I'm getting at.   :oops

Land Before Time TV Series (2007) / too sentimental
« on: February 01, 2009, 10:58:58 PM »
I think LBTFan13 is right about there is no one too sentimental in this series. They do all ahve their own reasons for who they're attached to.

As for Chomper I think he is just trying to live up the time he has with his friends. I think, despite how much he trys to convince himself he'll never change, he knows one day there will be a time where he won't or can't be friends with the gang of five. So he clings to them as much as he can. And because of his reality of being a Sharptooth his time with his friends is very important, and in a way more meaningful and needs to be cherished at all cost.
In my heart I wish that they would always stay kids so that they can continue to be friends.

That would be interresting for Cera to cry. About what is the question. *Thinks about it* O.o...I haven't a clue what could possible make her break down.

As for other improvements...I think when they made The Return Of The Lone Dinosaur episode they could have done Doc's character differently. He seemed really out of character to me. I have no clue what it was, but something was deffinitely wrong with him.
Here's a thought. In my perfect world he seemed like he wouldn't be sooo quick to judge someone, and when he said that Chomper couldn't be a good Sharptooth...it made me upset.  :cry  Maybe it's just wishful thinking that Chomper, and the gang of five will always be friends. I just don't know.
Maybe I was having the same reaction to his odd behavior like Littlefoot. To me he was wise, strong, and everything like what the stories about him said he was and like Littlefoot...it made me sad to see him seem less then what he was in all those stories. At the end of the episode I liked him again.
Though I do have to admit it does a good job at showing that all our heroes are human...more or less...just like us. That they're not perfect. It also was good character development.
  So....I think that is it.

I read a lot online, and just regular books. I think that is awesome. Fantasy and mystry were always my favorite when I was young. now it's practically everything.
I read a lot of Edgar Allen Poe, but I have honestly never read anything by Stephen King.
I've doine swing danicng, but never Line dancing. I wish I could though. That sounds like a lot of fun. I'm not good at hip-hop either, but I like it.
About the signature...thank you! I love it. It's one of my favorites.
What exactly is a Christian spiritualist, if you don't mind my asking.

don't worry about sounding negative. It wasn't.

Thank you, and I will post as much as possible.  :DD Yay Toast!
