Hard to believe I never made a CDRR thread myself.  For a while I had a Dale pic in my signature...he was wearing headphones and reading something...typical of me. :p

A couple of episodes are really hit or miss, but some of them are quite funny.  If you're a Dale fan, "Dale Beside Himself" or "Le Purrfect Crime" or "Good Times, Bat Times" are probably the best episodes featuring the red-nosed munk.

I don't remember Good Times Bat Times  but I think might be an episode where Dale meets this bat that has a crush on him or something. Other then that I remember Dale being himself like the back of my hand since I was on season 1 or 2 of my CDRR DVD'S if I'm not mistaken in Dale Being Himself. Some alien transforms into Dale and these aliens pick up the real Dale thinking he's the alien and the "Alien" Dale stays with the Rescue Rangers thinking he's the real Dale or something along those lines.

And I remember that sig I had just forgotten that it was you who had it for a while.

Along with, Timon and Pumba, The Little Mermaid, and Duck Tales, this is a show I used to watch as a kid as well. :yes

I remember liking that girl mouse(I forgot what her name was), the big mouse that REALLY liked cheese, and that little fly. I think I liked Dale too.

I remember that episode where they were trying to rescue a kitten from some lab that the crazy professor was trying to experiment on something or plot some world domination that included cats.

Hmmm....... I think I could help you out

That girl mouse's name was Gadget.

The Big Mouse's name was Monteray Jack. Isn't it funny how he loves Cheese and yet he's named after 2 cheeses?

And the little Fly's name was Zipper.

Oh, I remember that episoda very well.

I know that episode too...just can't pin its name down.  Something about static electricity if I remember correctly.

You're correct on both counts.  Le Purrfect Crime is where Dale is turned into the bad guy when he gets a spell of amnesia.  He wanted to get you with a coffee bean shooter. :p

Sounds like they had quite a few interesting episodes.  I don't remember much of the episodes I have seen since it's been a while ago.

Yay!  I  LOVE   this show!  For the record, The bat in "Good Times, Bat Times" is named Foxglove, and she is one of my favorite animated furries of all time.  Her and Gadget both Rock! <3 (http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b129/NealWolf/foxyfan.png)

Yeah something about this robot hand that rubs all these cats and if it rubs enough cats it powers up the static electricity.

Foxglove, right. I have heard about that bat from the Chip and Dale forums I go to I just forgot her name. And I thougt "Le Purrfect Crime " had something to do with a cat probably because of the play on words.

Sounds like I may need to watch some bits of it on youtube.  See if I like it enough to add it to things I'd like to buy on dvd someday.

The episode with the kitten and the static electricity generating hand is called Catteries Not Included.  It was actually the first episode.

Here's a link to pretty much the biggest archive of fan-created materials based on this show:

I think I may have seen it in a captions thread, at another forum. I tend to save quite a few pictures from Caption threads. Well Youtube does have a strong history at deleting episodes and movies and that's what I'm worried about but I will give it a look thanks. :)

They do seem to do that with some things.  I guess it is based on if the main copyright owners complain or not.

One good thing about youtube and tv series is you can watch some episodes and then have very good information if you would like the series enough to buy it on dvd, assuming it is on dvd in your region.

Maybe Disney doesn't care so much about their older tv stuff.  Much of the old Disney afternoon stuff is up and has been up for months, but you won't catch a Pixar film up for long.  I think its hard for google to compete with the sheer number of people that can upload the stuff.

Then again, every click is more ad revenue for them, so keep the popular stuff and they make more money.

That and the folks in charge of disney may be younger types who do not like the older stuff so figure who cares and instead they focus on the newer stuff.  & the mass of folks may prefer the newer stuff and that may be where the main profit is from.  It may also be a mix of these factors as well.

I just found out something very exciting.  This coming December, a company called Boom Studios is publishing a revival comic series with New Stories.  I can't wait for it.  Here's the info on the first issue:

Boom Studios (http://www.boom-studios.net/chip-n-dale-rescue-rangers-01-cover-a.html)

Your thoughts on this?

I wonder how popular the comic will be.  It would be nice if it were decently popular.

Update: the first issue has now been published.

The production value seems to be very high.  The way it looks, the panels could be the basis for new episodes, if Disney was so inclined.

The first story also looks very interesting.  It revolves around some research into enhancing animal stregnth in times of need, but it seems someone has commandeered it for their own purposes.  And you won't believe who originally worked on the project....

In short, I plan to at least follow the comic through the first five issues.

What Kor said about Disney not giving a damn about their older TV shows is true. Just look at how impossible they make it for a lot of their older stuff to get fans (even going as far as sabotaging Gargoyles).

I might pick up the new comic book, given that it looks fairly decent and hey, anything to make bigger numbers and make those delusions idiots at Disney realize there's a audience to be had concerning their 80s-90s TV franchises.

I picked up the first issue the day it came out.  Its drawn nicely for a comic, and it keeps to the style of the cartoon.  Here's what I didn't like...a lot of flashbacks, and that really kept the story from going anywhere in this first issue.  Maybe things will clean up in the second one and I'm willing to give it that chance.  I'm not really interested in reading about flashbacks personally. ;)

Otherwise, its good for RR fans. :)  You think Chip and Dale will start meet and greets as the Rescue Rangers again in the parks?

I recently watched the show on Disney+, then later got the official Blu-ray of the show.  If only I was born in the 80s to appreciate it, because it’s a hobby of mine to look back at retro stuff and this is one of those classics I’ll always return to.

I was surprisingly entertained by this film. Felt like a modern-day Who Framed Roger Rabbit, albeit one where the jokes were a lot more hit-and-miss. I think the extreme timeliness of the references will hurt this film's watchability later down the line, but Mulaney and Samberg's voice acting is really good and honestly carries the film. I'm curious if the actual Chip n Dale fans enjoyed the film, didn't feel very loyal to the source material and I feel like a few of the gags (especially
Spoiler: ShowHide
Gadget marrying Fly and having 142 hybrid babies
) would leave a very bad taste in my mouth if I were actually invested in the fandom.

Update: Oops, my bad, I assumed this thread was on the new film that recently came out. I have not seen the original show, but my boyfriend is a fan and kept me updated on all the things the movie was getting wrong, haha
