How much TV do you watch? (turnning on the tv to a channel or watching a movie, playing games doesn't count)
I watch less than 2 hours a week, there's hardly anything good on these days just garbage.
-
None. TV is just junk. In fact, I had it disconnected years ago. Thankfully I have the whole internet where I can get any movie I want for free. And if I really want a TV series, I can download that too.
-
Only when there is a movie on TV that I haven't seen before or don't have on DVD that sounds interesting. Once or twice every few Saturdays. Most of what I watch isn't on TV anymore, I've gotten it off youtube or I've got it on VHS or DVD already.
-
I watch T.V. sometimes when there is good stuff on. And I watch movies also when there is anything worth playing.
-
I don"t watch tv anymore. The videos I do watch are stuff I already have. So I can watch what I want when I want with no commercial breaks nor paying any company so much per month. All the time they put into commercials were just getting to me. To annoying.
-
I always find something interesting to watch on T.V. So I do watch it quite a lot now,
-
I've been watching a lot of TV recently, but it's all just two channels: History and Discovery. Those two channels are pretty much the only ones that catch my interest.
-
Same here. Because there are some decent shows that are playing.
-
I hardly ever watch it in the summer unless it's current news events, but even then I'm more likely to go to certain websites for my fact finding missions rather than the news channels. From fall to spring I'll watch House, Castle, and Fringe. I watch more movies than I watch TV, I'd say.
-
I don't watch TV anymore. Not since the beginning of the summer. Between training, school, and the job, I think I've watched an hour and 9 minutes of television. Just to watch The Land Before Time on Encore.
-
Since I have no social life witch I choose I watch way more T.V now. Only to watch shows I like.
-
Compared to a while back, I barely watch television at all these days. Monday through Friday, I watch an episode of Gunsmoke and Bananza, Saturday I watch Bleach, and the rare occasions when a new Power Rangers: Samurai or Dragon Ball Z Kai episode come out. Throughout the week, I will watch a random thing or two if bored and nothing else is on, and such shows include, but are not limited to: Naruto Shippuden, Iron Man: Armored Adventures, and Batman Beyond. A far cry from my days before World of Warcraft.
-
As for some reason I've been watching more T.V. Lately than I have been. Since there is nothing to do.
-
Not a lot of TV considering the fact that there's no much on most of the time. Only good show I tend to watch is Supernatural.....and a few cartoons here and there. But that's about it. Nothing else is really worth watching >.>
-
I'm with you Drake I only watch T.V. when my favorite shows are on also. I like the shows Man Vs Food, Man Vs Food Nation, 1,000 Ways To Die, and others.
-
None.
-
I watch quite a lot of TV now, since I'm waiting for university to start and most of my friends are on holiday so I don't have a lot else to do.
-
I never watch tv. If I happen to do, it's usually because I'm in the kitchen and my brothers are watching (we can see the television from the kitchen)... Or when someone has a tv on at their place and we have little else to do. You won't find me sitting down in front of the television myself, as my computer provides more than enough addiction to fill my precious time with.
-
I do doth I wish T.V. And I go online. But yeah it's kinda pointless to watch T.V. when you can watch all of your shows online. So but I still watch it if I'm bored. I use to watch a lot of T.V Back in the day. Back when the real awesome shows come back on. But now it's pointless to watch it.
-
Not much. Hardly anything is good on tv these days. Instead I go on the net. :smile
-
I rarely watch TV. And when I do watch, it's news and sitcoms exclusively.
-
I watched "Suburgatory" last night. It's a show about a girl and her dad who used to live in new york but moved to the suburbs and she hates it. Last night he left hr home alone...it was really good!
-
I don't watch TV at all, for the same reason I don't read newspapers (http://gangoffive.net/index.php?showtopic=8690&view=findpost&p=22029905).
-
I hardly watch TV at all mostly due to lack of time( I rather spend it on the GoF :P:). The only things I watch atm are the German TV eps every weekend :DD
-
I watch it all the time since I have a lot of shows I like.
-
Let's see, about...10,000 hours a day! :lol
In all seriousness, I watch TV when I can, which is...what, rarely.
-
I still don't watch tv, not having the digital thing. Like I posted before I watch video on the pc, but also on my tablet.
-
I barely watch any television. I usually check the local news in the morning and will otherwise abstain from television unless severe weather or other breaking news events occur.
-
Very rarely, only when there is a film I am interested in(yep, that's rare). When I do,it's usually at night, when I have nothing else to do.
-
Nowhere near as often as I used to now.
-
What..? TV shows? Have you been talking with my parents?
Lol in all seriousness, not much nowadays - not having cable helps a tong. I mostly watch movies and even then not that much. I'll pop in a VCR or a DVD maybe every other day and kick back and enjoy it :DD
-
I only turn my TV on when I need to watch my favorite and also only show, The Walking Dead. Other than that I don't open the thing anymore, I watch movies online now. :p
-

This is still true for me, however I do have a Netflix subscription now that I use about 1.5 hours a day. I watch 2 episodes each day during my commute :)

When you say "watch TV", it depends on your interpretation of the meaning.
If you mean watching something as it airs on TV through antenna or cable, not that much really. The only time I do that is at work during my breaks, right before work or right after work.
However, I do watch many streaming services. I have Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, Anime Tube Unlimited and recently Cartoon Tube TV and Tubi TV. All of which are on various devices connected to my TV. On top of that, I have various movies on an external hard drive connected to the same TV.
If you mean the latter, quite a bit. I feel a little addicted to these streaming services. Heck, I'm looking forward to Disney's take on it. You can bet money that I'm getting it. Yeah, I'm planning an adjustment so I can pay for these. Sure, the extra money I have is helping, but it won't last.
-
Usually I watch 1-2 hours of TV, probably just to watch a few sitcoms or 1 movie. Most of the time I spend on TV however is just playing on the Wii U (yes, I still play on that console, don’t judge me).
-
Basically none. Very rarely me and the husband will watch something notable on Netflix or Disney+ (recent candidates were The Witcher, WandaVision, Star Wars Visions and Beastars season 2), but we're only tuning in for that specific thing. We don't have actual scheduled TV time.
-
I haven't watched anything on "live" TV for years, unless someone else is sat in the room watching something (and even then, I'll tune out and do something on my phone or laptop).
Even streaming services I rarely use these days. I like a good fantasy series every now and again but I have to be in the mood to sit down and watch something.
-
Enope
-
Live TV is still a thing?
I thought it died along with blockbuster.
-
None. My audiovisual content is now pretty much limited to streaming services, YouTube, and Spotify. That being said, in the few moments I do happen to watch free television I have noticed an impressive drop in quality in free television over the last 20 years.
-
How things have changed in 20-or-so years. In my childhood I watched a lot of TV with my family (or alone) but nowadays I rarely watch it at all. If we count streaming services such as Netflix, then I'd say I watch TV regularly, but I haven't been channel surfing in years tbh.
-
Hardly ever. I use internet on PC to watch movies, or series.
-
I got my cable box back before the Xmas vacation.
-
An update on my TV watching thing, nowadays I now mostly watch the news on TV, and I just watch stuff through streaming services (because most of the streaming services I subscribe are pretty much are all on the TV sets we own).
-
Here's the interesting thing about me watching TV these days. For the vast majority of shows that I do watch on TV (via live streaming through Hulu), I could watch them on streaming services whenever I want, but if I went with that option, I would probably never watch any of that content at all. You see, now that I have easy access to Netflix and Discovery+, I've already saved a lot of shows that I'm interested in watching, yet even after several months I have watched hardly any of that stuff. The way my viewing habits are apparently, the idea of watching something anytime I want becomes an excuse to keep putting it off for another time to the point that years can pass and I might end up forgetting about such interests entirely (in other words, it's a rather low priority compared to other things I occupy my time with). Traditional TV, on the other hand, has a fixed schedule that I have no control over, which essentially forces me to actually watch shows I'm interested in seeing since they're on only at a specific time every week. I know it sounds quite ironic that more options these days has made me less likely to actually watch anything, but that's just how it seems to work for me, so that's why I still watch TV just as much as I've been over the past dozen years.
