My favorite is Chomper as you all know :lol

My favorite is Chomper as you all know :lol
Mine too. I hate that so many fanfics always have him part for good with the other six.
I did have one where he sort of went bad, fighting off his nature, but he found something else to hunt and got forgiven for the bad thing he'd done (especially as it had been to defend the life of his mate and he'd done it by mistake and had been set up anyway) and got to live in the Great Valley with his wife and later his son too.
How could anyone say no to a cute face like this anyway? (http://i566.photobucket.com/albums/ss110/wenguin/ChomperlicksLittlefoot.jpg)

I voted Cera. I know she's got her down sides but as I've said in other topics she really grew on me as a kid. And I think she's a little on the misunderstood side.
-
Uhm, do I have to explain? :lol Just look at my username and my choice will be obvious :exactly
It's Ducky of course ;) I always liked her cheerful, happy personality and she's just a cutie :smile
-
Littlefoot is my favorite character of the gang of seven.
-
Ruby is my favorite, though Littlefoot is a close second.
-
Ruby is adorable!
-
Can't argue with that :) Well, I like all of them in their special way. But Ducky I like most :lol
-
Ducky FTW! :lol
-
Littlefoot's always been my favourite, but Ducky is now a VERY close second. :lol
-
Always has been Littlefoot. He can be a dofus but he's my dofus and I love him. Chomper and Cera are tied for second though.
-
Umm...do I have to explain? :p
It's Petrie, of course. He's probably the main reason why I got into LBT in the first place. I love that cute voice of his and don't mind his unique way of talking...or his unusual personality, for that matter. An irresistible little guy to me. :D If I had the ability to time travel just to cuddle him, give him a nice hug...hehe, maybe even tickle him :lol, I would use the opportunity wisely.
...Case in point, he's cute. I love the character very much. :wub :wub (Though Ducky is a very close second.)
-
Ducky FTW! :lol
Until I joined here it was Littlefoot, but then again, this was the place that got me interested in the TV Series (that upon to that point, I haven't watched nor was aware of).
-
Chomper is my fav!
Then after him, Petrie. :D
-
Aye, have you noticed on Wikipedia that only Littlefoot has to have his actors voice his voice? And The rest of the gang either got one or two voicing them?
Like, look:

^That's because the actors who play Littlefoot all have to have a certain type of voice that is mostly achieved by boys who haven't really hit puberty yet, or have kind of a high voice. I think that Felix Avitia is only about 12 right now, and he sounds perfect for Littlefoot.
Meanwhile, the rest of the gang (with, perhaps, the exception of Chomper) all have a kind of steady voice that can be achieved by certain voice actor. That's mostly why Littlefoot is the one with the ever-changing voice actors.
-
My vote goes without saying why or when. ;) Petrie's unusual way of speaking was much more tolerable in the first film than later ones. Now its just really bad grammar on purpose.
-
Cera and Petrie, hehe. Cera is so spunky; I love her!
-
Littlefoot. His personality always rubbed off on me in a good way when I was a child.
-
Little Foot. He will always be my favorite weither it be Gang of Five or Seven. To me he has the most melancholic background and he is much like his father Bron and Grand Pa Longneck.
-
above 1) Littlefoot
2) Chomper
3) Ducky
4) Ruby
5) Petrie
6) Cera
777) Spike

Interestingly, no one mentions that when Ruby is fully grown Oviraptor she will eat eggs, meaning she will be threat to all egglings in the Great Valley. While wondering if Chomper will be able to fight his carnivorous instincts is interesting. What about Ruby?
-
I favor Littlefoot. :)littlefoot
-
I think mine goes without saying. I really love all of them, but Littlefoot is definitely my favorite. I've always loved his charm, tenacity, loyalty and overall personality. :)littlefoot

Well, if you wanted, you could justify this with more up-to-date interpretations in paleontology. Oviraptor diets are still uncertain. They were most likely omnivores, but their primary food source wasn't eggs. (Same goes for Struthiomimus, but we'll just ignore that or regard Ozzy as an exceptional case). Mollusc shells, however, have been found in the same fossil beds as oviraptors, and their beak could easily have been used for cracking open molluscs. Ruby could very well eat shellfish and such, and maybe even show Chomper how to do the same eventually.
Dunno if this has any precedence in-universe, but it would explain why Ruby isn't as big of a concern as Chomper. I'm pretty sure we see her eating both greens and some kind of clam, but I haven't seen the series in a while.

Yeah in the series she mostly eats treestars and there was indeed a scene where she ate a clam.

I think it was either in The Cave of Many Voices or The Star Day Celebration, can't remember which.
-
Well, about Ruby's relation to egg-stealers. I read somewhere that some species in LBT universe differs from natural, including Petrie, for example. So I think in this case Ruby don't HAVE to eat dinosaurs' eggs when she grows up.

Well, a lot of them very much differ from the natural, I can tell you that right now. Most cases of this would have been very accurate at the time of their creation and were grandfathered in from that era, though, Petrie is a rare exception as pteranodon definitely weren't herbivores and we've known that for a long time. Ruby isn't one of these cases. Her not needing to eat eggs is perfectly natural based on current evidence. Struthiomimus, the only "egg stealer" species we've seen in the franchise, and oviraptor aren't actually very closely related at all, though, they were thought to be part of the same clade at the time of LBT II release, which would explain the confusion.
You know what would make for a fun episode? Daddy Topps mistakes Ruby for a struthiomimus egg stealer type, spreads fear and confusion, and tries to chase her out of the valley. At the end, we learn a valuable lesson about misconceptions, jumping to conclusions, and stereotypes based on appearance. Can't remember if there's already an episode like this with Ruby, but I think it'd be educational at least.

That sounds like the kind of thing that might come up when Ruby and Chomper first arrive and valley denizens object to giving them refuge. "Fast runners steal eggs, they ally with both leaf eaters and sharpteeth, so they're shifty and can't be trusted, etc., etc."
I mean, why have Chomper bare all the hate and suspicion? Ruby should be allowed to join some of the "fun." :P
-
Ducky, of course. She's very cute, sweet and optimistic.
Of course I love them all, but in order:
1) Ducky
2) Chomper
3) Spike
4) Ruby
5) Littlefoot
6) Cera
7) Petrie
-
Wait, I never listed my favorites?

You make a strong case, Strut afterall prefereed greens and Ozzy alone seemed egg-crazed. Ruby has also been presented as one of the smarter members of the Gang, and thus when she ages, she will conciously not eat eggs that are fertilized. The argument about Chomper is that he qill have is Carnimind activate like Bruce the Shark in Finding Nemo and Alex the Lion in Madagascar ans be unable to control himself. Ruby doez not have some egg brain override, she isn’t Ozzy :lol
I agree with your assessment. :thinking

My favorite is Chomper. Hence my namesake, which is to honor the gentlest sharptooth in TLBT.
-
Ducky's always been my favorite. I love her sweet, perky optimism. In general I just like friendly, happy characters and Ducky is a perfect example of such. :duckyhappy

I think I answered a simalr thread to this, but Imma list my favorites here anyways!
1.) Ruby. She's too precious for this world.
2.) Chomper. Come on, he's a trex but cute!
3.) Littlefoot. He has a kind heart, and doesn't give up on fixing problems.
4.) Cera. She can be funny sometimes.
5.) Petrie. I honestly don't know, I just love skiddish and nervous characters.
6.) Ducky. She's a little annoying sometimes, but she's sweet. yep yep yep!
7.) Spike. If I could just list my favorite characters from the franchise, he wouldn't even be on the list. I don't hate Spike, he's just kinda stands there and eats food...wish they'd make him talk, or give subtitles to his grunting noises.
