Hello all. I've decided to make an RP based on the idea of Total Drama Island. However, it will have cartoon characters instead. Anyone can be one character from any cartoon franchise(though they lose extremely OP powers). Let me know who you want to be.
I'll be Chris and Chef.
The current characters are:

LBT Fanfiction / Journey of Two Brothers
« on: February 25, 2016, 01:09:47 AM »
Hello all! This is a recent fan fiction I've been working on. It takes place during the first movie, though is altered heavily, though the plot stays the same. I warn you that this scene has some character deaths mentioned. Also, one of the brothers is a fan character, while the other I got from another movie, cookies to whoever recognizes that character. :D
So, without further ado, I give you Journey of Two Brothers
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Chapter 1: Strangers in a Strange Land

I opened my eyes. And to my surprise, it was different. For once, one of Valens' twisted experiments worked. We were sent back in time. "Uh, my head." My twin brother, Owen groaned. I turned, and to my surprise, instead of my brother, a raptor was there.

Orange, with black stripes, the raptor was large, larger then a Deinonychus yet smaller then a Utahraptor. Maybe it was some new species. "Owen?" I asked. The raptor turned, and looked at me.

"Jack?" He asked. "You're...you're a T-Rex man!"

What?!

I tried to get up, but couldn't. So I rolled on my back, and got a good look at my arms. They were tiny, and clawed. Running over to the nearest puddle of water, I looked in. I was a freaking Tyrannosaurus Rex.

"Wow man. You okay?" Owen asked. I turned. "Are you? You seem to be taking being a raptor remarkably well." I commented. "What?! Me to?" Owen asked, looking down. Then he looked back up, his eyes wide.

"Jack, Valens actually succeeded at doing something."

I chuckled a little at the overly serious way my brother said that. "I wonder if we can change back." I commented. "Think human thoughts." Owen chuckled. I closed my eyes, and thought about being a human again.

"Holy shit!"

I opened my eyes. I was back in my human form. I then thought about being a T-Rex again. When I opened my eyes, I was back to my new form. "Wow." Owen breathed.

"You try." I said. Owen closed his eyes, and changed into his human self. My god, we could switch between forms.

"So Valens' twisted idea of injecting dinosaur DNA worked?" I asked. Valens always loved dinosaurs, and was always looking for a way to bring them back. His latest idea was to inject us with DNA, then using that DNA, he would clone them.

It didn't work, until he found a strange power circuit. Using that, he built a time machine. He sent us in to collect dinosaur eggs for research. But now I had other ideas.

"You know, this could be good for us. If we lived here instead of with Valens." I suggested. Owen thought for a second. "What about TV? And video games?" He asked. "We could go back, kill Valens, and take all his stuff over here. Including the portal generator. We could then come back here, and we all live happily ever after as kings of the world." I said the last part with a fake smile.

Owen shook his head in amusement. "Yeah, phase 123 of your plan to take over the world."

"Phase 122.5! That incident in Alaska doesn't count!"

After a little while, we returned. But Valens was nowhere to be seen. So, we took everything. His DNA sequencers, his laser weapons, his holo projectors. We took them all. That way his big pay day in Russia wouldn't happen. And hopefully, neither would World War III.

After moving everything into our world, including the substance replicator(which we would use for FOOD and WATER! WE'RE NOT DRUG ADDICTS!), we began to explore our world. After putting everything in a hypercube(pocket sized storage device that can hide a 100 foot tall, long, and wide amount of storage), we changed into our dinosaur forms, and began to explore.

The area we apparently moved to was desolate. Dry, leafless forests of broken trees and desert plains dominated the area. We could see some mountains in the distance, so we decided to head in that direction.

However, while we moved, I heard something. Crying. Soft sobbing, like a child who was lost. "Do you hear that?" Owen asked. I nodded. Did some other human enter this time before us?

We had to see. Shifting into our human forms, and grabbing laser rifles, we began heading towards the source of the sound.

We reached a clearing, and saw something depressing. A baby Apatosaurus was lying next to its mother. And judging by the wounds on her back, she had been killed. Most likely by a very large predator.

The baby looked up, and eyed us nervously. "It's okay kid, we're not going to hurt you." Owen said, holding up his hands to try and show he was friendly. "My mother, she won't get up."

We paused. We had suspected this when we first saw the little guy, but it seemed we were right. So dinosaurs could talk. If that was true, could all animals talk? I was interested in finding out.

"Please help me!"

We were snapped out of our thoughts, and moved over. I got out a vital signs reader, and checked it. Nothing. The Apatosaurus was dead. "I'm sorry kid. But..." I couldn't bring myself to say it.

"It's not fair! She should have known better! That was Sharptooth! It's all her fault."

"All whose fault?" Owen asked. "Mothers!"

I looked down. "It's okay kid, we know what you're going through." I sighed, sitting down next to him. "She said I needed to find the Great Valley, but I don't know where, or how...Why did I have to go so far from home?"

"Kid, don't worry, me and my brother will help you find this Valley." Owen assured him. "Really?"

I nodded. "Don't worry kid, you're safe with us." I vowed. "Thanks! Um, I'm Littlefoot."

"Jack Grady, and this is my brother Owen." I introduced.

Littlefoot looked at us strangely. "Human thing, just call us Jack and Owen." I said. "Oh, okay, thanks Jack! Thanks Owen!"

After a little movement through the forest, we came upon a forest. And in it, a small Saurolophus hatchling was swimming. "Hello!" She called. "Um, hi." I replied, with a slight smile.

"What is with baby dinosaurs being all alone around here, don't you guys have families?" Owen asked her. "Well, I am all alone." The Saurolophus said sadly. "I lost my family in the big earthshake."

So an earthquake happened which must have separated a number of baby dinosaurs from their families. "What happened?" I asked slowly. "Me and my family were playing in the water, and this earthshake suddenly began shaking. A crack opened, and my mommy and daddy fell in." She began to cry.

I looked down. This was to much. I guess that earthquake took its toll here. And someone needed to look out for the survivors. "You want to come with us? We're going to the Great Valley." Littlefoot offered.

"Yes! Oh I mean yes. I would like to go! I do. I do." The little one cried happily. "Okay, Littlefoot, where did your mom say we should go?" I asked. "She said to follow the great circle, past the rock that looks like a longneck, and past the mountains that burn." Littlefoot replied.

"Alright, let's go." Owen pointed to the mountains in the distance. Smoke was coming out of them. I guess we needed to go past that.

After a little further trekking, we stopped for some lunch. Littlefoot and the little hadrosaur, who we found out was named Ducky, tried to eat a tree. Me and Owen got out some sandwiches.

"WOW!" A squeaky voice cried. Apparently a little Pteranodon was perched on the leaves Littlefoot tried to eat, and when Littlefoot bit down, he pulled the Pteranodon with him.

He landed right on my head. I pulled him off my hair and set him down. "Who are you?" Ducky asked in interest. "Me name Petrie." The little Pteranodon said nervously. "Petrie huh? Funny name." Ducky commented.

"I-I flied?"

"No, you falled!" Ducky replied. "I fall?! Oh!"

"But you're a flyer, not a faller." Littlefoot pointed out. "Hard thing to fly." Petrie growled, and tried to flap his wings, but couldn't get more then a foot off the ground. "I guess it is, we can't do it." Littlefoot laughed.

"No we can't do that alright."

"You okay Petrie?" I asked. "NO! Me family flew off during earthshake and leave Petrie alone! Oh!" Petrie cried sadly. Me and Owen looked at eachother, and nodded.

"Well, if you want to stay with us, you're more then welcome to." Owen offered.

"Me can stay? Oh thank you! Petrie already like you!" Petrie declared, hugging my head.

I chuckled under my breath. Then something interesting happened. I heard a noise. A loud whimpering howl. Suddenly, my instincts told me to respond to it. "Stay here." I said.

"Hey Jack, what's wrong with your skin?" Littlefoot asked. I looked down. It was going green. Oh no.

Suddenly, I shot into the air twelve feet, and was the size of a full grown T-Rex. Great, apparently that triggered something in my subconscious. "Sh-sh-"

"Guys, it's okay, it's still me." I said turning around. I thought about being a human again. I was back to human form.

"You can become a sharptooth?" Littlefoot asked. I nodded sadly. "It was something this guy did to me that caused it. We can barely control it." I explained. "We?" Ducky asked.

"Yeah, Owen can become a raptor." I replied. I nodded. Owen turned into a raptor. "Wow." They breathed. "And you can switch back?"

We nodded. "You don't want to eat us do you?" Petrie asked nervously. We shook our heads. "We have this thing that can clone food, we just need to find some leaves for you guys, and we can feed you." I replied.

"Cool." They said. The howl shot out again, this time louder. "I'll be back." I said, shifting back into my dinosaur form and heading in the direction of the howl. When I got there, I saw a baby T-Rex wandering through the woods.

He was dark blue, with red eyes, and a white underbelly. He was only a foot long. He let out a howl again. "It's okay little guy." I said slowly. He turned and looked at me. Then he ran up to me and squeaked happily.

He seemed to be just an infant, barely a day or two old. He would be incapable of surviving on his own. I guess we had another member joining us. "Do you have a name little guy?" I asked.

He saw a dragon fly, and chomped into it. That was it! "How do you like Chomper?" I asked. The T-Rex now named Chomper cooed happily at that. I saw a fold of skin on the back of his neck, like a cat or dog's. I bent down, and picked him gently up.

He didn't make any noise or complaint, so I put him on my back, and began heading to the group.

"What was it?" Owen asked. I gestured to the tiny baby T-Rex on my back. "Wow, how many dinosaurs were in this area?" Owen asked. "There was a bunch of herds, including my parents and Ducky and Petrie's herds." Littlefoot replied.

"So there must be more kids out there alone." Owen surmised. "Yeah, we'll be on the lookout for them." I decided.

After a little while, we continued to move westward. "Hey, it's Cera!" Littlefoot called, pointing to a yellow Triceratops a little ways away. "Cera, it's me Littlefoot, do you want to..."

Littlefoot paused. Cera was crying. "Littlefoot, my parents...they're gone!"

I looked at Owen. Looks like we had another dinosaur in our group. "It was Sharptooth, he killed them!"

"What?! But Sharptooth fell into the big underground." Littlefoot protested. "He's alive, I was with my mom and dad, and he suddenly appeared. He killed my dad and attacked my mom. She told me to run."

"I can't believe it, that monster's still alive." Littlefoot growled. Chomper squeaked nervously. Apparently even this Sharptooth scared carnivores. "Don't worry, he won't harm any of you while I'm around." I vowed.

The kids looked at me. "I promise. I promised to take care of you. I will make sure I do that. If Sharptooth ever shows his face near us, I will make sure he can't harm you ever again."

LBT Fanfiction / Chomper's Fall
« on: February 19, 2016, 09:02:17 PM »
Hello so this is a fan fiction I'm writing about Chomper. Please read and review. I would really like constructive criticism. Thanks!

Chapter 1: Captured

Chomper ran through the grass, laughing. He and his friends were playing hide and seek. He was enjoying it so much. He loved having friends who actually accepted him, unlike the rest of the valley, which just shunned him.
Then he saw something strange. In a dark cave, there was a glow. Interested, he moved deeper in. A great light was there, swirling and glowing. It was beautiful. Then, as if an act of fate, the ground began to shake.
The shaking ground caused a large rock to fall. Leaping out of the way, he inadvertently ran into the light.
He awoke to find himself in a jungle. Alone. He turned back around, to see...nothing. The light was gone. It vanished. That meant...he was trapped.
"Hello?" He asked. No answer. "Hello?" He repeated. Still nothing. "Guys? Littlefoot? Cera?"
Where was he?
Then he heard something. A bleating. It was so alien. He had never heard anything like it. Then he saw what had uttered that sound. A large fuzzy, about twice his size.
Then a light dropped next to him. The ground began to shake. Turning, he saw the biggest sharptooth he had ever seen.
She was absolutely enormous. Bigger then Redclaw. Her body was covered in scars Chomper guessed were from numerous battles. The titanic Rex turned to Chomper, and their eyes locked.
With a whimper Chomper began to back up. "I thought I was alone here?" She asked. Her voice was deep, commanding, deadly. Like Mr. Three horn, only much, much more deadly. She commanded a lethal respect.
"You're not going to eat me?" Chomper asked meekly. The Tyrannosaur rolled her eyes. "I am no cannibal." She said as if Chomper should have guessed that. "Where am I?"
"Where are you?! After all these years, I never knew one dinosaur that didn't know what this prison was. Seriously, you were born here you should know where we are!" The Tyrannosaur growled.
"I honestly don't know, I just got here. I'm sorry, please don't hurt me!" Chomper began to cry. The Tyrannosaur sighed under her breath. This was why she hated hatchlings. They were so annoying.
Suddenly, she felt the all to familiar tranquilizer dart in her neck. She knew what that meant. Within a matter of minutes, she was asleep.
XXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Chomper woke up in a bright white cave. "Where am I?" He asked. Then he saw his arm. It was longer, more muscular, but most surprisingly, it was white. Bone white.
What had happened to him. Then he saw some strange creatures rush in. They grabbed him, examined him, stuck him with needles. It hurt so much.
It was so scary. So Chomper did what any creature would. He fought back. He snapped, he clawed. But it was all in vain. Finally, it ended, and he was placed in a crate.
That just made it scarier. The darkness was terrifying. Finally, the crate opened in another jungle. Only this time, he was completely and utterly alone.
The years passed. Years of solitude. Years of silence. Years of abandonment. He would sometimes go weeks without seeing any living thing. The only positive relationship he had was a strange branch that gave him food.
That was it. Nothing to talk to. Nothing to see. He was alone. Alone with his thoughts. In those years, the innocent little T-Rex died, and a bitter, cruel new dinosaur was born. He had lost everything. His friends, his home, his family. He was trapped in a small valley, with nothing.
In the time since he had come here, he could no longer hunt insects. He had come to eat exclusively meat. With that, came the urge to hunt. The urge to kill. The urge to rip.
But as he grew, he learned he had new abilities. Thanks to those pathetic creatures, he had gained the ability to hide in plain sight, the ability to lower his temperature. Over time, he learned how humans worked. And slowly, a plan developed.
One day, he clawed up the wall, and made it look like he climbed out. He lowered his temperature, and camouflaged. He waited.
Naturally, the humans fell for it. When they figured out he was fooling them, they ran. But it was to late.
He leapt in front of two of them. As the prospect of hunting live food again finally came true, he felt overcome by something. Hatred. Hatred against the humans, hatred against the friends who seemingly abandoned him, hatred against the world.
Oh when he was free, the world would burn!
With a cry of sadistic joy, heard to the humans as a roar, Chomper lunged. The two ran. But one wasn't fast enough. With glee, he grabbed the poor soul who lagged behind. He tore him to pieces, reveling in the bloodshed and brutality.
Finally, revenge.
The other one had another smell about him though. Fast Biters. He could use allies. He would capture this human, and use it to lead him to them, then he would establish himself as alpha.
He would lead the carnivores of this island to freedom from those wretched humans.
With a roar, he grabbed the human. To his surprise, he felt pain. But he didn't drop the human. Apparently, they had a hidden weapon.
After smashing through the now open door, he examined the human. This was the first time he had seen them up close. Gently, he looked over the human. The human attempted to stab him again, but Chomper saw it coming, grabbed the strange little tooth, and threw it away.
He had heard the humans speak, and had picked up the language. He knew raptor was human for fast biter. "Take me to raptors!" He said. The human stopped. This thing could talk?!
"You can talk?!" The human cried. Chomper smiled evilly. "Everything can talk, but apparently your arrogant species doesn't know that! Now take to your raptors! Grady!"
"How do you know me?" The human asked. "I heard that red bitch say your name, now, where are your raptors?" Chomper said the last part slowly.
"Put me down, and I'll show you." The human said. "If I do, you'll run!" Chomper pointed out. "Then you would catch me, why should I risk my life like that?"
Chomper saw his point.
"Fine, but if you run, I will destroy everything in my path! Including your raptors! Remember that!" Chomper snarled.
Chomper threw the human to the ground. "Well, show me worm!" Chomper snarled. Owen looked up, and slowly began to walk in the direction of the raptors.

Role Play Discussion / Jurassic Park/Land Before Time Crossover
« on: February 18, 2016, 07:37:17 PM »
So the idea of this role play is that scientists at InGen find a portal to an alternate dimension where a lot of different prehistoric creatures live together. The role play has no overall plot. The plot will be decided based on the actions of the characters. Any character from both franchises can be chosen. This is largely a free play rd, the only rules are that if a character kills another rper's character, then they must agree to it first. You can control a maximum of five characters.

I'll be Chomper, Alan Grant, Owen Grady, Blue, and Rexy, I guess.

Prologue

Littlefoot awoke in a strange place. They were in a cage, surrounded by tree shaped teeth. They were trapped. It was dark. It was cold. It was alien. Where were they?

"Uh, me head hurt!" Petrie groaned. "Why we have to go through glowy thing?"

Littlefoot agreed silently. Perhaps their thirst for adventure had caused their luck to finally run out? Perhaps they were in that glowing circle's stomach, about to die.

A door opened, and two strange beings walked in. They were tall, with no tails, and multi colored skin. They looked so weird.

One of them looked down. "So, you found these in the restricted area?" One asked. "Yes sir, some of them are species in the park, we assume they might be infants from the previous park." The other replied.

"The previous park was nineteen years ago, they would be dead, or at the very least grown up by now. Perhaps a wild population of dinosaurs exists in the restricted area, away from our knowledge?" The first one suggested.

"What are they talking about?" Chomper asked. "I don't know..." Littlefoot realized. "Whatever, the little Rex is what

Dr. Wu wanted, so we're giving it to him."

"What about Dearing?" The second asked.

"What about that redhead? This is InGen's park, InGen's animals, we don't have to listen to them at all. Now take that little terror, and give him to Wu, our experiment needs a young animal to work."

With a nod, the second creature opened the cage, and grabbed Chomper. "Hey, put me down!" Chomper yelled. "Leave him alone you big bully!" Cera growled and tried to ram the guy.

In response, he kicked Cera clean across the room.

They took Chomper off, despite his cries for help.

Xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Chomper awoke feeling strange. Where was he? He held his hand up. Then he noticed it. It was white. Like a bone. "What the..." He paused. His voice was different, more hoarse, more high pitched. It seemed like a cross between a fast biter and a big biter.

Chomper got up, and looked around. He was in a deep forest. "Hello?" He asked. No answer. He then saw a gray thing. Moving towards it, he saw that it looked like a giant smooth wall. Was he in a valley of some sort?

He moved along the edge of the wall, until he had gone in a circle three times. He was trapped.

Three years later

Chomper growled under his breath. Three cold times in isolation. Three cold times stuck in this bony, altered form. And he wanted out. He wanted freedom. Freedom to move, freedom to run, freedom to hunt, freedom to start a family. Freedom to live.

Then he got an idea. He could change his body temperature when cold thanks to this new form, and camouflage when he wanted to hide. Perhaps, he could use this to escape.

So, he hunkered down, and waited. Then, finally, three humans came in. To further fool them, he marked up the walls as a distraction. It looked like he climbed out. "That wall's forty feet high, you really think he could have climbed out?"

"Depends." Another human said. "On what?" The first human asked. "What kind of dinosaur they cooked up in that lab."

Then they started to run. Damn! His plan was ruined. With a snarl, he roared out. He would at least capture some company so he wouldn't have to be alone.

However he was also hungry. So he would eat one or two, and save the other one. He leapt out of the foliage, and looked down at the humans.

"Hello." He said darkly. They began to run. He caught the slower one with ease, and began to eat. The other two got out. With a snarl, he stalked out of the valley. He finally felt the fresh air of freedom again. After three years.

Spotting one of the humans, he walked over. The human whimpered, terrified. Recognizing this human as the one who kept him in that cage, rage entered him. With all the malice of a killer, Chomper bit down, and devoured his prey.

However, the other seemingly escaped, so he began to walk off. He took in all the scents around him. Then he caught a scent he hadn't seen in years. That of his old friends.

With renewed determination he set off in that direction. However, he then remembered something. Those humans had stuck something in him as a way to find him. He needed to get rid of that.

With a growl, he used his much longer arms to cut it out. Grimacing at the pain, he nevertheless was able to cut it out. Now the humans could never find him.

As he moved, he spotted something. A truck was approaching. Great more humans. Lying down and camouflaging, he waited until they got close enough to spring his trap.

He waited until one got his tracker. "The blood's not clotted yet, it's close." The guy said. Then some blood dripped on him. He looked up. Chomper grinned evilly, and revealed himself.

"It can camouflage!" The man yelled as Chomper grabbed him. The men shot darts at him. Chomper roared at the pain, and threw the man to the ground and charged. A net flew into his face.

Enraged, Chomper grabbed the attacker and threw him into a tree, killing him. He was able to get the net off, and bit into a man, shredding him in front of his compatriots. Then he used his tail to knock two man into a tree, and charge one last resisting soldier.

The guy fired bullets which stung, but didn't save him. Chomper finally finished the job with a final bite. The remaining humans fled, leaving him alone. Nevertheless, he was victorious.

LBT Fanfiction / A Traveller's Journey
« on: February 17, 2016, 12:25:14 AM »
Hello. Sorry I haven't been active lately, I had a lot of stuff going on. However, I've finally found the time to work on some writing. Without further ado here is my latest land before time story.

Prologue
I held my breath as Valens flipped the switches one by one. Great, just great. Another experiment. Dr Richard Valens was an eccentric, crazy scientist who took me in after my parents died in a car accident. Apparently it was so he could get to the family fortune. Of course, being their third and last cousin, he had access to the fortune only if he had custody of me.

Originally, I would go to my aunt Rebecca, but she to died from an infection. Apparently, it was a completely new organism, one that had no evident relatives.  I only realized it was one of Valens' creations eight years later, on my sixteenth birthday.

From then on, he used me as a Guinea pig. He gave me what he called the next step in evolution. These were needles that were filled with concoctions that gave me the strength, speed, and endurance of some of earth's most powerful predators. He used this to make me an assassin. I learned how to fight, how to kill, how to sneak past the most attuned senses.
Often, he would dump me in the wilderness to test my survival skills. I

He also had a fascination of going back in time. He was always building time machines, and testing them on me.

Usually, it ended with a massive electric shock and me getting my hair standing on end for the next ten hours. But this time, it went differently. I suddenly was thrown through a swirling vortex.
Finally, all was still. I opened my eyes. Instead of the black lab ceiling, a clear blue sky, dotted with white puffy clouds filled my eyes. I got up, and looked around. I checked the time watch. It showed time, but also the whole geologic span of time.

It was precisely 65,956,233 BC, April third, 9:12 P.M

Wow, when I left, it was 2016 AD, February 15th, 7:22 P.M. I was out of Valens' reach now. The coward would never follow me now, he would never use an invention unless he was 100% sure it was 100% safe. He was fine with risking my life, but he was to much of an asshole to test his hair rained schemes himself.

That meant I was free. I would never have to kill in his name again. I was completely and utterly free, with my own life. Then I realized something, I was in the time of the dinosaurs. I would always have to worry about whatever predators were in the area. I had seen enough movies to know precisely how dangerous these animals were.

But I had survived in the African Savannah, Alaskan Wilderness, and the Amazon. I could survive here.

Smiling, I checked the supplies I bought. I had snuck one of his hyper cubes(a device that could hold a house worth of items, while only the size of a pocket). I had enough food, water, and medical supplies for a month. I also snuck an AK-47, a Desert Eagle, and even one of Valens' Electro Swords. I was perfect.

With a smile, I began to head off to explore my new home. As I moved, I looked around at the beautiful scenery. It seemed cycads and ferns were the dominant form of plant. But I also saw conifers and other forms of plant life.

But there was something I was even more interested in finding. I wanted to see a dinosaur.
Then I heard something rustle in the leaves. I stopped, but continued to move. I heard another rustle, and a rock roll. I knew that sound. I had experienced it with lions in Africa. I had a plan. If this was a predator, then I needed to set a trap.

Pulling out a combat knife, I continued to walk as if I hadn't noticed. Then, the pounding of feet on the ground. My attacker charged out of the jungle, and leapt at me. I spun around, and my fist
made contact with its face, knocking it to the ground.

I put my foot on its throat and raised my knife. Then I saw my attacker. A baby T-Rex.

I stopped. I couldn't bring myself to kill a baby. Even a predator.

With a sigh, I let go of him, and backed off. "You're not going to kill me?" It asked.

I stopped in my tracks. Did the little guy just talk?!

Shaking, I raised my finger. "Did you just talk?!"

The little Rex nodded. I felt like I was about to faint. "Hey, I was hatched by flat teeth, you don't need to act so surprised." He said, trying to calm me down. "Flat teeth?" I asked.
The little guy looked at me strangely. "Um, I'm a sharptooth, aren't you a flattooth?" He asked. I shook my head. "What are you then? A no tooth?" He giggled.

"I'm a human, I come from..." I stopped. I could never say I came from a different time. "I come from across the sea. Far away from here."

"Sea?" The T-Rex raised a brow.

"That." I pointed to the ocean. "Oh, you mean big water." He realized. I shrugged. "Whatever you
say."

"So, what's your name?"

"Call me Jack." I replied. "Chomper."
I chuckled. This little dinosaur, no matter what he'd grow into, was adorable. He was so tiny, only two feet long. It was hard to believe what he'd grow up to be.

"What?"

"Nothing, I just expected a dinosaur to be less...adorable. I expected something fearsome and powerful."

"Hey, I could be fearsome and powerful!" Chomper protested. "Oh really, show me this ferocity."
He bared his teeth, sucked in some air, and let out his best roar. He then looked at me expectantly.

"Well, you scared that lizard away." I sighed. Then my instincts kicked in. Twirling around, I swung my electro sword through a dilophosaurus. It yelled in pain as it fell to the ground.
Another dilophosaurus ran out. It was bigger then the first, about 15 feet long. It had a blood red crest. I held my ground. The predator began to circle me. "Get behind me." I ordered to Chomper.  Chomper ran up to me.

The Dilophosaurus growled, and charged. I brought my sword through the air, colliding with the head of the predator. It roared in pain. It fell to the ground and died. I raised my sword.

"Surrender or die!" I snarled. The Dilophosaurus growled and attempted to bite me. I dodged it and drove the Electro-Sword into its chest.

It roared for a minute, before going limp.

"You just killed Red-Crest!" Chomper cried. I immediately felt nervous. Did I kill one of Chomper's friends? "Whose Red-Crest?" I asked. "You've never heard of Red-Crest?" Chomper cried in surprise.

I shook my head. "He was a friend of Crusher. He was his deadliest hunter. He constantly tried to kill me. Not even my daddy could defeat him!" Chomper replied.

"If Red-Crest was here, then..." Chomper went silent.

"Is this Crusher guy going to attack us?" I asked. I had a feeling I knew what was coming. "Red-Crest was Crusher's scout. If he came here, then Crusher's not far behind!"

"I got to tell Mommy and Daddy!" He cried.

Hi, I've been having problems with my computer lately. Recently, it stopped working, and I turned it off, but when I restarted, it went to the preparing automatic repair, then a black screen, and finally, to repairing disk, which it stayed at for all of last night and until I turned it off just a few minutes ago. I've been trying to turn it on for days. I can't reboot it, and I've tried everything, should I take it to an electronics store? Any ideas What I could do?  :cry

LBT Fanfiction / A New Life
« on: October 10, 2015, 06:34:48 PM »
I decided to rewrite the story.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I awoke with a terrible headache. But it wasn't my headache that I was focusing on. The time machine Doctor Valens had been working on actually worked. Not that I should be surprised, with his invention of real life lightsabers using diamonds as crystals, and laser rifles. But still, to be able to go back in time was surprising.

The idea was that I would go back in time, stay there, and wait for him to come get me. But honestly, I thought he just wanted to get rid of me. I was the one who most heavily questioned his rather...strange view of science and the world. I was glad to be gone.

Oh, I'm sorry, where are my manners? My name is Jack Alexander Grant. I was in my senior year of high school before someone framed me for stealing the school's money and I got expelled. Valens took me under his wing, but I never got used to his experiments.

I looked around my surroundings. Based on the flora and temperature, it seemed I was somewhere in the Dinosaur age. Cycads were everywhere, and the climate was hot and humid. I was the first human to come back here.

I was armed with a lightsaber, a backpack which contained all my personal stuff, including some of my favorite movies, games, and my computer. Now you might ask, why bring a computer to the prehistoric age where there was no power? Doctor Valens helped me with that. He created a battery that recycled energy so it never ran out. He said its what kept him from paying the electric bill.

As I moved, I could hear something nearby. What sounded like screeching, and screams of terror. I moved closer, and saw a small Tyrannosaurus, maybe only a few years old, running through the jungle, chased by a pterodactyl. I identified it as a Rhamphorynchus.

Wait...what?! A rhamphorynchus was from the Jurassic, and the T-rex from the Cretaceous, how did...? I sighed. It must be an alternate timeline.

At first, I thought about leaving the little creature to its fate, but my conscience got the better of me. With a roar, I leapt between the two. I activated the Lightsaber, its brilliant blue blade glowing. The Rhamphorynchus stopped, and tried to fly over me.

I swung upward, and cut the wing off the pterosaur. It howled in pain as it fell to the ground. It feebly tried to rise, but it would never fly again. With a sigh, I stabbed it in the heart, ending its suffering.

I turned, the little T-rex was looking up at me in awe. He was dark blue in color, with red eyes, and a white underbelly. "Thank you." He said. "Don't mention it-" I stopped. Did it just talk?!

"Can you repeat that?" I asked politely. "Um, thank you."

I fainted.

When I came to, I felt hot breath on my chest. When I opened my eyes, they got as big as dinner plates. A huge, forty three foot long yellow green Tyrannosaurus was sniffing me. "He saved me mom! He saved my from a sharpbeak!" The baby t-rex cried.

The Rex looked at her youngster, then at me. I was frozen, my hand on my Lightsaber just in case. The Rex lifted her head up. "Thank you for saving my son." The rex thanked. It was official, dinosaurs could talk.

"You're welcome mam!" I said politely. I was in a very bad situation right now. "I'm in your debt, you don't need to act so afraid of me." The T-rex said kindly. I began to relax a little. "What is your name?" The baby asked.

"Uh, Jack." I replied. I still was trying to wrap my head around the fact dinosaurs could freaking talk. "Nice to meet you Jack, I'm Chomper."

"My name is Tyra." The mother stated. "Pleased to make your acquaintance." I replied. "My mate, Bladeclaw, should be back soon, you're welcome to stay with us if you want." Tyra offered.

"Sure, thank you."

Over the next few days, I spent a lot of time with Chomper's family. To be honest, they were pretty nice, well, as nice as two adult T-rexes could be. I found out they lived on an island, and that there were only small sources of food. I even discovered they had an egg that would hatch any day now.

I found at they lived mainly on fish in the rivers of the island, and decided to try a diet of fish as well/ Chomper also showed me where good fruit grew. I actually began to feel at home there.

It was calm, peaceful. No school, no grades, no Valens, just a simple life. Me and Chomper grew quite close over that time. "So you're from the future or something?" He asked. I nodded. "What are the dinosaurs like there? Are sharpteeth and flatteeth friends?"

Suddenly, a roar was heard. "That's not my daddy." Chomper said. A second roar sounded. "That's my mom!" Chomper recognized.

"It sounds like a fight! Stay here!" I ordered. Chomper obeyed, and I ran off to help Chomper's parents.

When I got there, I saw Tyra and Bladeclaw battling a grey T-rex and three utahraptors. Suddenly, the grey T-rex grabbed Tyra by the neck and threw her into a tree. "Tyra!" I cried. A raptor noticed me, and leapt into the air.

I slashed at it, cutting through its stomach. With a cry of pain, it died. That allowed me to get slashed on my left eye by another raptor. I punched it in the jaw, and ran to help Bladeclaw. Then the impossible happened.

The Grey T-rex grabbed Bladeclaw, and bit down hard on the neck. I knew it was over. Tyra roared in rage, and attacked. But the raptors hit her in the neck, and the T-rex bit into her skull. She fell to the ground.

No. No! NO! I let out a cry of anguish. The T-rex family who took me in, was gone. But I could still save their egg! With renewed determination, I knocked a raptor out of my way by slashing at its side.

The T-rex lunged down. I swung my lightsaber. He roared in rage as the Lightsaber made contact with his scales. He ran off in pain. The raptors followed. Finally they were gone. I deactivated my lightsaber, and dropped to the ground.

We were no longer safe here. That monster had killed my new family! Then I rememberd the egg. And Chomper. He was my responsibility now. I wouldn't abandon him.

I walked off to break the news to the little t-rex. "Jack?" He asked, then he cringed. I saw a puddle of water nearby. I looked into it. A scar ran down my eye. A scar similar to that T-rex's.

"Where are my mommy and daddy?" He asked. I looked at him. He was so young, so full of innocence. I could hardly tell him the news. "I couldn't save them." I choked out. He looked at me in shock.

Then he let out a cry of anguish. I walked over, and hugged him. He sobbed. He cried. I felt like doing the same. But I had to stay strong for his sake. "We can't stay here." I decided.

"Come on, lets go."

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

After gathering all my things, we began to leave the island. A land path luckily connected us to the mainland. After a long hour of walking across it, we got to the beach. The trip was a silent one. Usually, me and Chomper talked all the time. But we couldn't think of anything to say.

When we got to the mainland, the two of us began to head inland. Apparently, Chomper had some friends in a place called the "Great Valley", so we decided to go there. As we moved, I kept thinking about that horrible T-rex. That monster.

I would avenge Tyra and Bladeclaw. One day.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Chomper and I sat in the tent after a long day of walking. Chomper was still visibly shaken by the loss of his parents. "They were always there for me. They saved me and my friends from sharpteeth and eggstealers once." He said sadly.

"I lost my parents in an accident before I left high school." I replied. "But like you said, they were always there."

"Always there, someone you can count on to comfort you." Chomper sang quietly. I put a hand on his shoulder. "I'll always be here for you, don't worry." I said. "Thanks." Chomper replied. "You know, you and one of my other friends are the closest things to brothers I've ever had."

I stopped. Brother? I always wanted a little brother. I guess I had found one. I let out a small sigh. We had been through so much today. We had lost so much.

"Chomper, one day, we will avenge your parents." I vowed. Chomper smiled a little. "Tommorow, we'll go to this valley of yours, and hopefully live away from that monster."

As we lay there I thought of a song that I loved.

I am a question to the world
Not an answer to be heard
Or a moment that's held in your arms

And what do you think you'd ever say
I won't listen anyway
You don't know me
And I'll never be what you want me to be

Chomper looked at me for a minute, before starting to hum along.

And what do you think you'd understand
I'm a boy - No, I'm a man
You can't take me and throw me away
And how can you learn what's never shown
Yeah you stand here on your own
They don't know me
'Cause I'm not here

And I want a moment to be real
Wanna touch things I don't feel
Wanna hold on and feel I belong
And how can the world want me to change
They're the ones that stay the same
They don't know me
'Cause I'm not here

And you see the things they never see
All you wanted I could be
Now you know me and I'm not afraid

And I wanna tell you who I am
Can you help me be a man
They can't break me
As long as I know who I am

And I want a moment to be real
Wanna touch things I don't feel
Wanna hold on and feel I belong
And how can the world want me to change
They're the ones that stay the same
They can't see me
But I'm still here

They can't tell me who to be
'Cause I'm not what they see
Yeah, the world is still sleepin'
While I keep on dreamin' for me
And their words are just whispers and lies
That I'll never believe

Chomper joined in.

And I want a moment to be real
Wanna touch things I don't feel
Wanna hold on and feel I belong
And how can they say I'll never change
They're the ones that stay the same
I'm the one now
'Cause I'm still here
I'm the one
'Cause I'm still here
I'm still here
I'm still here
I'm still here

After that, Chomper asked if I had anymore songs.

I set the song "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" to play on my computer.

It was true, the both of us were alone, but we were still here.

The next morning, we continued our trek. However, I was a bit nervous that the valely would accept us, especially since one of us would be an animal they never seen and the other was a predator.

As we moved, however, I got the sense we were being watched. When we finally came within sight of the valley, I ordered Chomper to head over there, while I confronted whatever was following us.

"I'm not leaving you!" Chomper declared resolutley. "Don't worry, I'll be fine, just go!" I ordered. I could see in his eyes he thought he would lose another. "I promise, I'll be fine." I said as I headed off.

As I moved, I suddenly screaming, Chomper was among them.

No.

No!

NO!

I ran at full speed, and activated my Lightsaber. I saw one of the raptors from before chasing a group of young dinosaurs, Chomper among them. Just as the Raptor was upon them, I slammed into the raptor. I tackled it to the ground.

"Run for it, I'll keep him busy!" I cried. The raptor got up, and upon recognizing me, it's eyes went red with rage. "Its me you want you son of a bitch!" I snarled. Suddenly, a series of roars and screeches were heard.

That T-rex and another raptor had found us. I ran to the kids, and got between them and the predators. "Stay behind me!" I ordered.

The Rex closed in. "When I give the order run." I whispered. "What?" Chomper squeaked. "I'll hold them off, just run!" I repeated. "No!" Chomper said. "Get him out of here!" I cried, and to my surprise, the herbivores followed my instructions, and ran. "Jack! No!" Chomper yelled.

One of the raptors lunged, and I slammed my saber into its chest. Then I cut through its comrade. That left just me and the rex. Suddenly, a rock hit the T-rex. I looked up. The kids were rolling rocks at the T-rex.

With renewed determination, I charged at the Rex. I slashed at his claws, which brought the scar all the way to his claws. The Rex roared in pain. Then at his feet, then at his stomach.

Then I hit him square in the leg. The attack caused him to lose his footing, and he rolled down the hill.

When he got up, he let out a roar of rage. I panted under my breath. It was over.

LBT Fanfiction / Jurassic World-Land Before Time Crossover
« on: October 06, 2015, 12:42:04 AM »
A/N: Saw Jurassic World in June, and I loved it! It was the second best of the series, and I loved the characters. I am already writing a Lion King-Jurassic World Crossover, so I decided to come up with a Jurassic World-Land Before Time Crossover. Two dinosaurs from Jurassic World are coming. Will they spell peace between the two groups, or doom for all. Read on to find out.

Raptors lived in packs. They were highly social animals, so to be alone was very hard on a raptor. Blue found that out. She missed her sisters terribly. Even more, she missed her dad. Yes, he was the alpha, but he was the closest thing to a father she ever knew.

But that had all been taken away from her by that horrible white beast. That monster had Charlie dissapear from the pack, assumed to be killed by humans. Echo was burned to a crisp, and Delta most likely had been paralyzed when the Indominus threw her. Then he drove Alpha away. That was the hardest part of all, having to lose her beloved father.

She hoped he was alright.

As she moved, she spotted something strange. A glowing orb. What the heck was it? Her curiousity getting the better of her, Blue neared it to find out. When she got closer, she could see what was on the other side.

A world far different from her own. A world dominated by deserts. The world she saw was a world of cliffs, mountains, and canyons. It was so barren, so desolate. Was this like those gates the humans had that allowed her and her sisters to run free, only to another area of the island.

Suddenly, her thoughts were interrupted by a loud roar. No. It couldn't that thing! Anything but that monster!

It was a distinct blend of Tyrannosaur and raptor, that was unheard of in any other dinosaur. It was that wretched hybrid.

She tested the wind, it was blowing towards the monster. He could follow her! Desperate to escape the monstrous creature, she ran into the portal.

Chomper ran for his life from the Eggstealers. He was leaving after a fight with Cera, and decided to go into the Mysterious Beyond to cool off. After leaving, he had run into the two eggstealers, who naturally weren't that happy to see him. So they gave chase.

However, as he was running, he didn't notice something until he was far to late. He bumped into a fast biter's leg. The raptor whirled around and looked at him dangerously. The eggstealers stopped when they saw the raptor.

Chomper ran behind the raptor, hiding from them. "Now, we don't want any trouble, we'll just pack up our little friend and go." One of the Eggstealers stated. "Your little friend?" The raptor asked suspiciously.
"Aren't you guys herbivores?"

"No! We prefer eggs! That little thing there however nearly got us killed, just hand it over and there won't be any trouble."
"You know.." The raptor said, narrowing her eyes. "I don't like animals who kill for pleasure."

The eggstealers paled a little. The raptor then bared her teeth, before crouching down. That sent the two eggstealers bolting.

"Wow, thanks." Chomper breathed. The raptor's expression softened a little. "What are you doing out here all alone little one? Where are your parents?"

Chomper froze. "I don't know, the last thing I remember is Redclaw chasing them off." He replied. "Oh, I'm so sorry." The raptor sighed. "I lost my family to, this horrible monstrous thing killed them all right in front of me."
Chomper was surprised. "Was it Redclaw?"

"No, but based on how you speak of him, he seems to be terrible, but he couldn't have been worst then that Indominus."

"Indominus? I've never heard of that kind before." Chomper stated. He knew sharpteeth reffered to eachother differently then flatteeth. To them, a sharptooth like Chomper was a Tyrannosaur, or a fast biter was a raptor.
"I only saw one, but they're horrible, they kill for sport."

That was something Chomper never expected. Only a few other sharpteeth ever did something like that. This monster, this Indominus, was certainly dangerous.

A loud roar was heard in the distance. Chomper recognized it as if he had seen the one who uttered it. Redclaw!
"We need to go, that's Redclaw"

The Written Word / My Jurassic Park Fanfiction: Father and Son
« on: September 27, 2015, 10:05:51 PM »
Greetings, I am currently writing a fanfic for Jurassic World and Jurassic Park. The story is that Owen Grady is Alan Grant's son, and travels with him through an alternate version of the JP universe. I currently have 50 chapters on Fanfiction.net, so for simplicity's sake I will combine 4 or 5 chapters into one post. Please let me know what you think. If you want to see the full version, go to fanfiction.net.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Owen Grady hadn't known his father until just a month ago, when his mother tragically died in a train crash, and he was sent to live with his father, Alan Grant, who had no idea he even had a son.
Since he got there, the relationship between him and his father was awkward to say the least, but atleast Alan tried to be a good father to his newly discovered son. But there was one thing about his dad that was cool; he was a paleontologist.
He always loved dinosaurs, specifically predators, like T-rex, and Raptors. To find out his dad loved dinosaurs as much as he had was a pleasent surprise, and allowed them to bond a little.
"And look at the half moon shaped bones on the wrist. No wonder these guys learned how to fly." Alan mused, pointing to a a radar image of a velociraptor skeleton. This earned a laugh from the group. "No seriously, now maybe dinosaurs have more in common with birds then they do with reptiles. Look at the pubic bone, turns backward just like a bird. Look at the vertebrae, full of air sacs and hollow just like a bird, and even the word raptor means, bird of prey."
"That doesn't look very scary!" A kid dismissed the dinosaur. "More like a six foot turkey."
Uh oh. Owen thought.
"Turkey. Now, just imagine yourself in the cretaceous period. You get your first look at this six foot turkey as you enter a clearing. He moves like a bird, lightly bobbing his head. And you keep still because you think his sight is based on movement like T-rex; he'll lose you if you don't move. No, not Velociraptor!"
"You stare at him, and he just stares right back. And that's when the attack comes, not from the front, but from the side." Alan brought his two hands together in demonstration. "From the other two raptors, you didn't even know were there."
"Because Velociraptors are pack hunters, they use coordinated attack patterns, and he's now enforced the day." Alan pulled out a wicked claw from his pocket. "And he slashes at you with this; a six inch retractable claw like a razor, on the middle toe. He doesn't bother to bite your jugular like a lion, see, he slashes you...here! Or here!"
"Oh Alan." Ellie groaned.
"Or maybe across the belly, spilling your intestines. See, you're alive when they start to eat you. So you might want to show a little respect."
"Okay." The kid said a bit nervously.
Alan smiled triumphantly and began to walk away. "Hey Alan, if you wanted to scare the kid you could have pulled a gun on him." Ellie commented. "Kids... You really want to have one of those?" Alan asked.
"I don't want that kid, but a breed of a child Doctor Grant could be intriguing." Ellie stated. "Honey what's so wrong with kids?"
"They're messy and expensive." Alan replied. "They smell."
"We do not!" Owen replied. "Some of them smell! Babies smell!" Alan retorted. Owen rolled his eyes, when Ellie turned to him. "It's okay, honey, he'll come around, don't worry." She consoled, trying to make Alan's son feel a little better.
Their thoughts were interrupted when a helicopter landed at the digsite.
It had turned out that the owner of the helicopter, John Hammond, had built some biological preserve as he called it, and wanted Alan, and Ellie to come down and visit it. He also invited Owen along as well, as he was part of the target audience of kids. Owen didn't like being called a kid, despite being almost 13.
As the helicopter flew over the pacific, they got to know the other passengers. One was an eccentric mathematician named Ian Malcolm, and the other was a lawyer named Donald Gennaro.
"So you two dig up...dig up dinosaurs?" Ian asked, trying to make conversation.
"We try to to." Alan sighed.
Apparently, Ian found this amusing, and began chuckling. "You'll have to get used to Doctor Malcolm, he suffers from a deplorable excessive personality. Especially for a mathematician." John stated.
"Chaotician! Chaotician, actually." Ian corrected. "Now John doesn't subscribe to Chaos, especially what it has to say about his little science project."
"I bring scientists, you bring a rockstar." Hammond laughed at Gennaro. Apparently the lawyer didn't find this very amusing. "There it is!" Hammond declared, and they began to fly over an island covered in tropical rainforest and mountains.
It was beautiful to say the least. "Now we drop pretty fast, so..." Hammond was cut off by a shake. "Yahoo!" He laughed. Owen was able to buckle up quickly, but his technoligically challenged dad failed to do so.
"You connect the two straps together, like this." Owen mocked. Alan shot his son a glare, and simply tied the two straps together.
Within a minute, the helicopter had landed, and the group began to disembark onto a platform. They had landed behind a large waterfall. Owen got a good look at the island, and saw nothing but trees for miles around.
"This way, into these jeeps here." Hammond instructed. Ian, Alan, and Ellie got into one car, and Hammond, Grant, and Owen got in another. They began driving on a small dirt road towards what Hammond said was the visitor center.
As they drove, Gennaro turned back to Hammond. "And I can confirm the 50 miles of perimeter fencing are in place?"
"And the concrete moats, and the automated turrets, Donald dear boy relax! Try to enjoy yourself." Hammond replied. "Yeah Donald, relax." Owen repeated. Hammond smiled in amusement, while the lawyer shot him a glare.
"First off John, this is not a weekend excursion. This is a serious investigation into the stability of the island. Your investors who I represent are deeply concerned. Forty eight hours from now if they're not convinced, I'm not convinced, we'll shut you down John." Gennaro pointed out.
"In forty eight hours, I'll be accepting your apologies." Hammond laughed. Owen was surprised, what was with all this big talk about stability and perimeter fences, and concerned investors?
"Wait, wait, stop, stop, stop!" Hammond exclaimed suddenly.
Owen sat back to relax, when, out of the corner of his eye, he saw something incredible. Something big. Something he never expected to see in his life. Something extinct.
A dinosaur.
An enormous, living, breathing dinosaur.
It came on great scaly legs, carrying its eighty ton body and 30 foot neck off the ground. Brachiosaurus, Owen deduced. His dad and Ellie had gotten out of the car to observe, and Owen joined them.
"25, 30 foot neck, Brachiosaurus." Hammond identified "How fast are they?" Alan asked. "We clocked the T-rex at 32 miles an hour." Hammond replied. "T-rex? You got a T-rex?!" Owen asked.
"We have a T-rex. Doctor Grant, my dear doctor sattler, and young Owen, welome to Jurassic Park!"
Owen, Alan, and Ellie turned, and saw a whole herd of Parasaurolophus and Brachiosaurus near a lake. It was amazing. "They're moving in herds. They do move in herds." Alan observed.
"How did you do this?" Owen asked.
"I'll show you."
"Welcome to the most advanced amusement park in the entire world. I'm not just talking about rides you know, everybody has rides. But we have made living bioligical attractions, so astounding that they'll capture the imagination of the entire planet."
They were in a large museum like facility, where a huge tyrannosaurus skeleton was attacking a sauropod. It was quite impressive. Above it was a banner that said 'When Dinosaurs ruled the Earth'.
"So what are you gonna do now?" Ian asked. "We're out of a job." He said a bit sadly. "Don't you mean extinct?" Ian asked, laughing a little. After a fairly boring video on how dinosaurs were made, the group visited the lab where the magic happens.
"Good day Henry." Hammond greeted an asian man. "Oh, good day sir." Henry Wu replied. While they were moving, Alan noticed the egg clutch nearby. "It's turning the eggs." Ellie observed, watching a machine turn the eggs to keep them warm.
Suddenly, one of them started to stir. "Oh, good, I was hoping they'd hatch soon!" Henry stated. "Henry, Henry, Henry why didn't you tell me? I insist on being here when they're born." Hammond declared.
Everyone's attention was focused on the little egg that stirred. A small squeaking sound was heard, and the eggshell started to crack. Hammond encouraged the little dinosaur hatching, while Owen and the others got to see the little creature hatching.
"They imprint on the first creature they come in contact with. I've been present for the birth of every single creature on this island." That provoked an arguement about if the animals would breed between Hammond and Malcolm, though Alan and Owen focused more on the hatchling.
As they observed it, however, they began to recongize features. A bird like body, with long arms and a long tail. But there was one thing that confirmed it, a tiny talon on its feet. Alan's face paled.
"What species is it?" He asked, dreading the answer. "Its a Velociraptor." Henry replied nonchalantly. "You bred raptors?" Alan asked. Owen was surprised by this, how could anyone think to breed these creatures, they were more dangerous then a t-rex.
Henry nodded slowly. Alan turned back to the creature in his palms, knowing it would one day become a super predator capable of ripping him to shreds.
Wanting to see these raptors, Alan and the group headed to the Raptor pen nearby. As they approached, they heard a loud screeching and growling from what could only be the full grown velociraptors in the pen.
"Dr. Grant I must insist we have lunch before we set out into the park, Alejandro our gourmet chef has prepared a wonderful dish, Chilean Sea Bass I believe-"
"What are they doing?" Owen asked, spotting a cow being lifted towards the pen. "Feeding them." Hammond replied casually.
Alan moved to the pen, hoping to see the spectacle that would follow. For what seemed like an eternity, the cow was lifted into the pen, making nervous sounds, as if sensing what was about to happen.
When it was landed, there was silence, then shrill screeching, and the plants in the pen shook with terrible fury. Roaring and screeching raged in the pen, and the group looked with muted horror.
My god... Owen thought, watching the frenzy. "They should all be destroyed." A voice spoke. The group turned to see Robert Muldoon, the park warden, approaching.
"This is Robert Muldoon, my Game Warden from Kenya, knows more about Raptors then anyone." Hammond introduced. Alan immediatley began asking questions on the raptors to the warden, who happily answered them.
Owen, meanwhile continued to look into the pen, before spotting one of the raptors looking up at him. It was spooky, looking into those cold yellow eyes, which reflected only one emotion: Hunger.
"How many are there?" Alan asked. "Six. We bred ten originally, but when the big one came in she took over and killed foiur of the smaller raptors. The three remaining, the little ones as we call them are much more docile. We were actually able to feed them by hand before the big one came." Muldoon replied.
"How intelligent?"
"Extremely intelligent, even problem solving intelligent. Especially the Big One. When she looks at you, you can see she's working things out. She had them attack the fences when the feeders came."
"The fences are electric aren't they?" Ellie asked. "Yes, but they never attacked the same place twice. They were testing the fences for weaknesses systematically. That's why we have to feed them like this. They remember." Muldoon continued.
A rattling sound indicated the crane bringing the cow holder back up. Well what was left of it anyway.
After the raptors, no one really felt like eating. Instead, they decided to set out into the park. But not before they were joined by Hammond's grandchildren. After meeting them, they got into the land cruisers, which would be giving the tour around the park.
Owen, the kids, and Gennaro got into the first jeep, while Alan, Ian, and Ellie got into the second jeep.
"So you're Dr. Grant's Son?" Tim, Hammond's grandson asked in surprise. "Yeah." Owen replied. "Cool, though I don't know why he thinks that dinosaurs evolved into birds, I heard that there was this, uh, meteor, that hit the earth, which-"
Owen stopped listening, instead, he was focusing on the gate they were approaching. On top was a picture of a T-rex skeleton, with the sign "Jurassic Park" below it. "We gonna hit that?" Lex, Hammond's granddaughter asked nervously.
They didn't and drove through the gate.
Soon, they were supposed to see their first dinosaur. But as they looked into the dense undergrowth, they didn't see a single Dilophosaurus, which, according to the tour guide, was supposed to be there.
However, there was nothing there. The most was a bit of growling, but that was it. No Dilophosaurus or anything dinosaur looking. "Man." Tim grumbled in frustration.
"Well, it says the next one is the T-rex, so I guess we'll see something better." Lex said. T-rex?! Owen thought in surprise. "T-rex?! Awesome!" Tim cried happily. Owen couldn't wait to see the big predator.
Well, if it was there.
Sadly, just as with the Dilophosaurus, the T-rex was a no show. So, with dissapointment, they continued.
That, was, until his dad jumped out of the car. Owen quickly followed. Apparently, Alan heard something. As they trekked through some tall grass, Owen could hear it to. Suddenly, they found a clearing, and a Triceratops lying on the ground.
"Woah." Owen breathed in wonder. "She's sick." Alan observed. Wow. Just wow.
Owen moved over, and slowly stroked the creature on its head. The Triceratops snorted in happiness. "This was my favorite when I was a kid." Alan murmured.
Ellie chuckled a little in happiness. Then she observed something in the creature's tongue. Apparently she began to recognize signs of some sort of poison. A little later, she saw some West Indian Lilac, and asked the scientist caring for the Trike, Gerry Harding, about them.
Meanwhile, Owen, Alan, and the kids continued to look with wonder at the triceratops.

History Section / America didn't do everything in WW2

Granted, I myself was guilty of this view, but I now find it appalling that so many of my fellow Americans believe they did everything in the war. As most historians know and believe, the war was not fought and won in the western front, but in the east. It was the Russians who gave everything they had to defeating the Nazis. To put in perspective, while American casualties were roughly 400,000 overall, total Russian casualties, both civilian and military, were well over 25 Million! The battles that decisively turned the tide of the war, Stalingrad and Kursk, were far more decisive then the Normandy Landings or the Battle of Britain. Why do western nations not recognize the role of the red army in its defeat of the Nazis?

Culturally, when americans hear the words "civil war", they think of the great battles fought in Virginia, such as Bull Run, Seven Days, Antietam, Fredericksburg, Chancellorsville, Gettysburg, and the Overland Campaign. However, personally, I believe the fate of the south was sealed in the other area of the war.

I believe  the war fought along the Mississippi river, in Tennessee and Georgia was more decisive. Such actions such as the March to the Sea, Vicksburg, and other actions were more decisive then the dramatic battles fought in the east. In many ways, the War was won in the west. The Confederates were winning the war in Virginia until the Overland Campaign, in 1864. Despite this, they had been losing everywhere else since 1862.

To put it in perspective, it wouldn't really matter what happens in the east if the north wins in the west. The only way the east would really change anything is if Lee well and fully destroys the Army of the Potomac. Not forcing it to retreat, but annihilating it. When reversed, it doesn't really matter if your losing in Virginia if your holding off the North in the west. Virginia was only really important because of Richmond, which was simply a political target. I find it very hard to believe that the entire southern army would just go belly up and surrender if it lost Richmond.

These are my views, what do you think?

Computer and Electronics / Help with my computer
« on: December 10, 2014, 02:14:57 AM »
Recently, I tried to load a game on my computer. It did not work, and I checked to make sure the disk was not scratched. It wasn't, so I checked the CD rom drive. It said there was no space left. How do I get more space? I tried deleting programs, trying to refresh, nothing worked.

Any help would be much appreciated.

The Written Word / Future is Wild Crossover story

"So we are exploring another planet?" C.G asked her father/ "Yes, our scientists have determined that if none of the environments you currently have explored are suitable, then perhaps we should find sanctuary in the stars." Her father asked. "Very well father, where is this planet?" C.G asked.

"This planet is located roughly 6 light years from earth, and is the fourth planet in a binary solar system." C.G's father responded. "I would like information on the planets geography, climate, flora, fauna, and its suitability for human colonization."

"Understood, we shall leave immediatley." C.G declared, and the time tele-communicator shut off. "Um C.G can't we just stay here? Who knows whats out there?" Luis said nervously. "Man up Luis, Squibby is braver then you." Ethan stated. "Yeah Luis, think of all the cute new animals we'll meet." Emily added.

"How do you know we won't be skewered five seconds out of the ship? In every environment we've visited, there's something that has sharp teeth, or claws, or poison spit. There's falconflies in the Antarctic forest, Snowstalkers in the North European Ice, or Megasquid in the Northern Forest."

"Luis, your fears are most likely unfounded, scientific evidence points that any life we may encounter is likely microbial." C.G told the nerd. Luis looked at his commander, trying to think of something to say, but decided against it.

"We are approaching the coordinates, we shall be there momentarily." C.G announced, the Time Flyer entered orbit over the planet they presumed they'd explore. "Looks more like a dustball then earth." Ethan commented. He was right. Unlike Earth, there was no water, except for a small blue sea. Most of the planet seemed open plains, with mountain ranges near the equator and polar icecaps. "We shall begin our descent, prepare for landing." C.G announced. The time flyer began its descent to the surface.

A/N: What do you think so far? I got this idea a while back, and decided to write a story about it. Cookies to whoever can guess the planet.

History Section / War Crimes during the American Civil War

When most of us hear war crime, we think of the Germans and Japanese in world war II, though I have come across several war crimes that occured during the American Civil War. (Sherman's march to the sea and Sheridan's valley campaigns are not war crimes, but campaigns to end the war, similar to the bombings of Germany and Japan during World War II)

On the other hand, the prisoner of war camps were very similar to the Concentration Camps, especially with the brutality and mortality rates. I saw a picture of a Union prisoner of war soldier that if you showed to someone, they would think it was from world war II.

Many confederates commited war crimes in attacks on the North. Jubal Early's burning of Union towns is one, as were the atrocities commited by Silas Gordon, Champ Ferguson, James Keith, William "Bloody Bill" Anderson, Nathan Bedford Forrest, and William Clark Quantrill.

Don't know about these? I have a link right here: 10 War Crimes of the American Civil War

Does anyone know of any others?
