Somewhere-Within Temptation (Mostly because I'm trying to look on the bright side of life, hence this verse: "I'll find you("you" as in my innocence or my optimistic self) somewhere...I'll keep on trying...until my dying day. I just need to know, whatever has happened, the truth will free my soul!)

Post by: The Friendly Sharptooth on January 26, 2009, 06:06:43 AM
Well, this song reflects the mood that I've been in lately in regards to a creative project that I've been working on for a little while. My mood can be summed up in one word: exquisite. Now this song is actually about the connection between two people, but from a certain point of view, it also reflects the state of mind I get in whenever I am in the process of creating something, or in this case, having something abstract- that cannot be touched- that has been premade which I am very fond of that I'm simply creating an intricate, physical replica for. Anyway, the song was made by a company called Working Designs, but as for knowing the identity of the actual artist, it's a mystery- well, to me anyway. Also, for some reason, the song was never given an official name other than "The English Introduction for Lunar: Silver Star Story," which is a Japanese video game made for the original PlayStation.

Now here are the lyrics to this song:

Quote
In your dreams,
magical thoughts...
All things are real
unless you dream they're not.

In your dreams,
love is the plot
carried on wings of hope.

Each of our souls
intertwine, when we do.

Instantly we see it
the time to grow and be it
when everything is pinned on a hope.

Let rise the dreams of your heart,
that innocent youth
careless and kind.

Free to roam the breeze in love
only when two
brilliantly shine as one...

(The grammar may seem a little incorrect in some places, but I assure you that I copied this straight from the L:SSS booklet.)

And here are the connections they create to the detailed feelings I have that make up my current mood:

First Part:
I have a lot of dreams of grandeur when I put everything into a project I insist on seeing through until the end. I feel that there are so many possibilities with an idea that are only limited by one's own mind, so I believe that I can make so many of my thoughts a reality with this if a I try hard enough.

Second Part:
This project is something I dream of seeing the completion of, and I know some parts will be tough, but I love my work and I have such hope that the day will come soon that I can hold that finshed product.

Third Part:
Slightly harder to comapre to, but basically, I feel that I do get really wound up in my work.

Fourth Part:
Nothing too complex here either. I see my work everyday and continue to increase my progress with it, in fact you could say I feel like I'm a part of my work. My hope in the project keeps me on it all the time.

Fifth Part:
I feel that this work that has risen in my life will be my greatest one yet, and it's the dream of my heart to have it end up just right.

Sixth Part:
Yeah, I'm young and without many cares in the world right now, so I'm free to pursue the things I love doing, like what I'm working on right now. With me and my work spending enough time together, I feel that we will truly shine as one in the end.

I am very well aware that I sound extremely corny here, but I have an extreme difficulty comparing myself to poetic works yet sounding equally pleasant in the words department at the same time. I did my best though. Anyway, if you think this song sounds interesting, would you like to hear it? (Is that an example of being oxymoronic?) Well, in case you do: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tEIURTJKek0 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tEIURTJKek0)

It's quite a catchy tune, don't you agree? Later!

There is more than one song that describe my Mood right now but I'll only pick one:

In the Fire of Victory by Ace

Super Eurobeat

I don't know but these type of Music put me in this "My own Universe" kind of Mood.

Lithium is definitely MY song. I mean I don't ALWAYS feel that way that the song suggests, but the symbolism of the song I can relate to GREATLY. It's as if I'm always in a battle with depression, it's so tempting to get back to who I used to be, and not fight depression back. So in conclusion, Lithium reflects my mood right now.

"Full of Grace" by Sarah McLachlan

The winter here is cold, and bitter.
It's chilled us to the bone.
I haven’t seen the sun for weeks.
Too long, too far from home.
I feel just like I’m sinking,
and I claw for solid ground.
I’m pulled down by the undertow.
I never thought I could feel so low,
and oh darkness I feel like letting go.

If all the of the strength and all of the courage
come and lift me from this place.
I know I can love you much better than this,
Full of grace,
full of grace.
My love.

It's better this way, I say.
Having seen this place before,
where everything we say and do,
hurts us all the more.
It’s just that we stayed, too long,
in the same old sickly skin.
I’m pulled down by the undertow,
I never thought I could feel so low,
And oh darkness I feel like letting go.

If all of the strength and all of the courage
come and lift me from this place
I know I could love you much better than this.
Full of grace.

I know I can love you much better than this.
It’s better this way.

Uhm I am not really sure if it actually reflects my mood but of lately I have had kind of an earwig of "Do you hear the people sing (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FgQgzKVX9jc)" respectively "Lied des Volkes (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ATB_goM2ocE)" (the German version of the same song), which is kind of the barricade song of the musical "Les Miserables". Now I am absolutely not supportive of violence of any kind but there is a kind of revolutionary spirit to it which I am kind of taken with given the fact that there is a lot to be improved about society and government as it is.
These days a prettier kind of revolution, the peaceful revolution (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peaceful_revolution_(German)) is being commemorated (it is now the 20th anniversary) over here...
I'm getting off topic :bang

The Revenge-Russell Allen and Jorn Lande

I want you to feel it in your bones
Want you to feel all of my pain
See all the demons
in the world that you created

I want you to live one of my days
Want you to dream one of my dreams
Time has come for you to feel what I feel

I can remember now
everything you ever said to me
I can recall the pain
And now the time has come

I can remember now
All the words that made me disappear
I can recall the pain
And now the time has come

For my revenge!

Do you believe I will forget
Do you think that I won't see
All the lies that you are hiding behind

Now is your turn to live in fear
Now is your turn to hide in the dark
The time has come for you to feel what I feel

And the strength of a tree
begins in the roots that I tend to bury into you.
At least now the storm
can't blow me away.

So crawl inside
my head with me.
I'll show you how it feels to be.
To blame like me.

Should I be afraid
of this face that I see?
In the mirror staring back at m,e
so cold were the days
when I listened to you.
And you say that I'm weak.
So show me the proof
because I still exist inspite of you.
But I won't compete
with you every day.

So crawl inside
my head with me.
I'll show you how
it feels to be.
To blame like me.

Schizophrenic conversations that I'm always having with myself.
I hear these
voices in my head competing, maybe I could use a little help.
I still have
schizophrenic conversations when there's no one else around to hear.
I long for
solitude and peace within me, void of all the anger and the fear.

So crawl inside
my head with me
and I'll show you how it feels to be
f***ed up like me.
I'll show you how it feels to be.
To blame like me.
Ashamed like me.

"Haunted" by Disturbed

You're broken, so am I.
I'm better off alone.
No one to turn to and nothing to call my own.
Outspoken, so am I.
Explosive words that your world wouldn't understand.
Turn away again.

You're beaten, so am I.
I've got a heart of stone.
No medication can cure what has taken hold.
You're hurting, so will I.
When I awake and remember why I've been running from your world.

Dishonored by your world.
Your world.
I'm haunted by your world.

My blood is cold as ice,
or so I have been told.
Show no emotion, and it can destroy your soul.
Another sacrifice to a tormentor your world wouldn't understand.
Turn away again.

You're angered, so am I.
A thousand fires burn.
A land of darkness from which I cannot return.
You're aching, so will I.
When I awake and discover that I have been damaged by your world.

Dishonored by your world.
Your world.
I'm haunted by your world.

Never will I be welcomed
amongst the heartless monsters you surround yourself with.
Feeding off the pain and misfortune of others.
A maniacal breed of sub-human parasites,
thrown into a feeding frenzy with the smell of fresh blood.
Open your eyes and see the creatures for what they are.
A swirling mass of hatred and envy.
Don't be naive enough to think you're unaffected.
The conversion has already begun...

You're frightened, so am I.
A world of demons wait.
Watching the movements and filling my heart with hate.
You're burning, so will I.
When I awake and discover how I have been ravaged by your world.

Dishonored by your world.
Your world.
I'm haunted by your world.

This one:
Break Even--The Script

I'm still alive but I'm barely breathing
Just praying to a god that I don't believe in
Cos I got time while she got freedom
Cos when a heart breaks no it don't break even

Her best days will be some of my worst
She finally met a man that's gonna put her 1st
While I'm wide awake she's no trouble sleeping
Cos when a heart breaks no it don't breakeven

What am I suppose to do when the best part of me was always you
What am I suppose to say when I'm all choked up and your ok
I'm falling to pieces
I'm falling to pieces

They say bad things happen for a reason
But not wise words gonna stop the bleeding
Cos she's moved on while I'm still grieving
Cos when a heart breaks no it don't breakeven
[ Find more Lyrics at www.mp3lyrics.org/rkIS ]

What am I suppose to do when the best part of me was always you
What am I suppose to say when I'm all choked up and your ok
I'm falling to pieces
I'm falling to pieces
(One still in love while the other ones leaving
Cos when a heart breaks no it don't breakeven)

You got his heart and my heart and none of the pain
You took your suitcase, I took the blame.
Now I'm tryna make sense of what little remains
Cos you left me with no love, no love to my name.

I'm still alive but I'm barely breathing
Just praying to a god that I don't believe in
Cos I got time while she got freedom
Cos when a heart breaks no it don't break even

What am I gonna do when the best part of me was always you
What am I suppose to say when I'm all choked up and your ok
I'm falling to pieces
I'm falling to pieces
(One still in love while the other ones leaving
Cos when a heart breaks no it don't breakeven)

In my life, there have been quite a few people who have tried to change who I am as a person, such as my backstabbing mother. There are still some out there who want to try and change me. This song clearly expresses what I think of those people:

Billy Squier - Whadda You Want From Me (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SUdYzIVH4U4)

Down in the dungeon I'm having a hard time
I get my love on condition and my Dewar's without lime
Up in the tower you're countin' the fault lines
(I say) I am who I am---whadda you want from me
Long distance warfare from over the phone lines
Terminal airfare--I'm crossin' the red line
Can't tell the diff'rence 'tween a
"wait" and a "walk" sign
But you know who I am---whadda you want from me (nah yeah)

You preach forgiveness but once in a dog's day
Naw but nobody listens to everything you say
You want the business, ya have it your own way
But you know who I am---whadda you want from me
Now I can't see no maybe, I can't see it at all
I seen through you baby, You wanna have it
all...you take me to the wall
(ow!)
Whadda you want from me...
(I said)you know who I am---whadda you want
I done what I can---take what you want
I am who I am---whadda you want from me

Here I Am-Spirit: SOTC

Here I am - this is me
There's no where else on earth I'd rather be
Here I am - it's just me and you
And tonight we make our dreams come true

It's a new world - it's a new start
It's alive with the beating of young hearts
It's a new day - it's a new plan
I've been waiting for you
Here I am

Here we are - we've just begun
And after all this time - our time has come
Ya here we are - still goin' strong
Right here in the place where we belong

Chorus X1

Here I am - this is me
There's no where else on earth I'd rather be
Here I am - it's just me and you
And tonight we make our dreams come true

Chorus X2

Here I am - next to you
And suddenly the world is all brand new
Here I am - where I'm gonna stay
Now there's nothin standin in our way
Here I am - this is me

This song describes how I'm feeling today from what I dreamed about last night.

"Send the Pain Below" by Chevelle

I liked having hurt,
So send the pain below where I need it,
You used to beg me to take care of things,
And smile at the thought of me failing.

But long before, having hurt,
I'd send the pain below,
I'd send the pain below.

Much like suffocating,
Much like suffocating,
Much like suffocating,
(I'd send the pain below...)
Much like suffocating,
(I'd send the pain below...)

You used to run me away,
All while laughing.
Then cry about that fact,
'til I returned.

But long before, having hurt,
I'd send the pain below,
I'd send the pain below.

Much like suffocating,
Much like suffocating,
Much like suffocating,
(I'd send the pain below...)
Much like suffocating,
(I'd send the pain below...)
Much like suffocating.

I can't feel my chest,
Need more, drop down,
Closing in.

I can't feel my chest,
Drop down.

I liked, having hurt.
So send the pain below,
So send the pain below,
(Much like suffocating) [I liked]
So send the pain below,
(Much like suffocating) [Having hurt]
So send the pain below,
(Much like suffocating)
So send the pain below,
(Much like suffocating)
So send the pain below.
