I found it so funny when petrie asked "IT BOOMS"?  It was just the way he said it.  I couldn't stop laughing even by the next day (Which was really bad since I was taking the WASL)

That will not be a problem for me.  The science one is really hard for me.  Check my grades online.  You'll see that I always have the lowest grade in science (Right now a C+)

LOL Yeah. :p  That line hit me pretty good, too.  It was just so amazingly funny, considering the context, LBT, and Petrie. I love it! :D  :lol

It...it booms?

So I wouldn't laugh at it any more, I split the movie so just the three seconds existed and put it on repeated replay so it was just petrie saying It booms? It booms? It booms? It booms? It booms? It booms? It booms?

I watched it for about an hour straight before I could stop laughing.  At the end, I had a sore throat and was coughing so hard I almost passed out.  I had to do it though because I couldn't stop thinking about it and when I thought about it, I burst out laughing.  I would just be in math class listening to a lecture, when I would think about it and just burst out lauging.  People thought I was crazy.  I got nearly four hours of saturday school because I couldn't stop laughing in health.  We were doing the sexuality unit so people thought I was laughing about the sexual things.  I'm not that immature.  It was really embarrassing.

I don't know what channel it's on.  I downloaded the episode.  It said CN in the corner.  This episode is the canyon of shiny stones.  I try not to download lbt but since I'm grounded, I have to find some way of watching the eps without being caught.  I have downloaded lbt sequals.  This is legal so long as you can prove you have purchased them origionally.  I have purchased all the lbt sequals on dvd but I hate my dvd ripper and don't use them on the computer.  I threw the origional's away but I still have the proofs of purchase (reciept and barcode).  I didn't sell them because I find that buying and selling videos may hurt the videos themselves.  If I sold them, I have made a profit and have made it so the people who made the movie don't get the money from the person who bought the dvd from me.  I know that selling dvd's at a garage sale is legal but I find it to be unethical so I won't do it.  As for the tv sequals, I find downloading them to be ethical so long as you pay for cable or satellite.  It is these companies thet profit mainly from these episodes.  I find that it does not hurt them at all to download the tv episodes so long as I pay for cable and don't disrtibute them to people who don't pay for cable.

Heheheh, yeah that was pretty funny. Hm, I think I'll add that line into my story as a reference. I can imagne that line being created as a remixed song of sorts with background DJ music and Petire saying "It Booms" on beat with it. XD

I'm afraid I may not quite get the joke. Is it just that "It booms" sounds funny to any native English speaker or is there some meaning to the line which I just didn't get?

There isn't much to the joke, really.  I think the humour just comes from the fact that it was Petrie, in the LBT series, the way he said it, the context, etc.
There isn't really a reference of any sort.  I suppose you will either find it funny or you won't.  It's not an especially intelligent joke.
