Be advised that in step 4 you can find your .minecraft folder here in Windows:Aye! Another way to get to roaming appdata without showing hidden folders is by typing %appdata% in explorer :)
C:\Users\\[username]\AppData\Roaming\\.minecraft\mods
And that you will need to allow the viewing of hidden files to see the AppData folder.
Also, just curious. Does having many mods on the server affect your Minecraft performance in any way?Do you mean does it affect how well my computer loads the game while I'm playing? Or do you mean my Minecraft play style? In both cases, no, it doesn't have a significant impact.
You know, you almost had me convinced on coming to check out the server. Why? Well, let's just say that the third and fourth screenshots with the named scorpions are...erm, wow. I get the concept and humor, but it just seems so out of place and unexpected, especially in Minecraft. :lolYou can thank @DarkHououmon for those.
I notice that you use stone bricks, stone, and cobblestone as preferred building supplies. The same goes for me as well, plus polished andesite, polished diorite, and polished granite. I also use wood planks and even the actual logs sometimes. Lava is something I enjoy using too in my bases, as it serves as both an aesthetic and a light source.I haven't used lava much, but wood planks and logs are another material I use a lot. In fact, my storage room is made out of planks/logs. I didn't think to take a screenshot of it before, but I'll try and remember for the next time I go on.
That mineshaft you built is at diamond level, correct? The base/mineshaft entrance isn't at diamond level, but it leads directly to a staircase that goes down until it gets there. Y=11 is my default elevation for my mining tunnels. I don't know about a railroad system specifically, but it is my idea to eventually connect my different Stardust Stations via some sort of underground tunnel network.
When I saw the screenshot with the sign that said "Stardust Station 1", it reminds me more of a railroad system rather than an underground base. Ooh, that could be a possible good idea. You can connect places far and wide with that to provide fast transportation for others. :)
My preference of a play style for Minecraft would mainly be vanilla. Some select mods would be nice, but not too many as it would be unnecessary and hinder the performance of the game. But then again, if you're running Minecraft on a 10+ year old computer like I am, then it wouldn't take much for the game to be laggy.Vanilla is what I've played the most as well. It's what I tend to default to, but I have occasionally played with various mods. There's a lot of really cool mods out there. My computer is a lot newer though, so I usually don't have performance issues.
Actually, I have been playing the Xbox 360 version of Minecraft as recent as 2019, but I'm not sure how many months ago. If I didn't had my brother to play it with, I probably would've never started it again. What's Minecraft like on Xbox 360? Is it any better or worse than the PC version, or otherwise significantly different?
Thankfully, I was able to retrieve my original message by logging back in and then hitting the back button.
Mr. Threehorn and Stern Claw really needs to keep his behavior in check tbh. But anyway...The mods still don't lag me as much as the chickens. :p
Um...hehe...oh dang. 68 mods, seriously? With Minecraft averaging at 20-30 FPS for me with low settings (and no optifine), that will most likely just kill my frame rate entirely if I’m gonna be brutally honest. :rolleyes
I honestly wasn’t expecting the amount of mods to be 68. :o
@StardustSoldier: Did you have your gaming session with Owls yet? If so, was the prophecy of the dream fulfilled or not? And most importantly, did you have fun? ;)The prophecy of the dream was not fulfilled. There were no silly deaths involved. But yes, we did have fun. :yes
I honestly still have a tiny urge of joining the Minecraft server, which is only extinguished by the amount of mods I would have to download.
But...don’t count me out completely though. ;)Cera
