I highly doubt anyone in the Great Valley is evil. Even <insert one-off villain here>.

Maybe the flyer trio are evil.Pterano isn't realy, but Rhinkus and Sierra are willing to kidnap, harm or even kill the gang only for their plan to get the stone.I would call them neutral evil.

Of couse i don't mind. :)
My first experience with it was the traditional game with dices,we played 3 editio D&D,and I have all my books from that edition.Later I made a very good use of them in pc games too.It has been a while snce I last played tabletop,It seems I soon will  have the chance again.

For PC games I would recomend:
Planescape: Torment-very unique places and characters, and I think uses 2 edition rules

Icewind Dale-It's like Baldur's Gate, with 2 edition rules and similar graphic.

Neverwinter Nights-3 edition rules, better graphic than the other two,but a little weird too.I have to admit this is my favorite series. If you played through the campign, you can downland free modules to it made by other people,or you can create your own. It's like they(or you)are the game mester, becose it has the toolset you can create modules with. With the two expansions (Shadows of Undrentide,Hordes of the Underdark)You can have classes like pale master, and you can reach lvl 40 and use epic level spells(summoning a dragon or shoting a hellball is FUN)Also you can turn friendly fire on or off,so you won't be baking yourself with your own fireballs(a thing I amnaged to do in Baldur's Gate :lol) An advice:you can have henchmans or summoned minions with it,but if you want it to be a little harder don't use them.I think it makes the game too easy.If you decide to try it out, feel free to ask me if you have any probems playing it without companions.
modules

Neverwinter Nights2-3.5,graphically this is the best, and it has the same adventages as the neverwinter nights 1(modules).I haven't played a lot with it yet,but so far I liked. It has two expansions too(Storm of zehir and Mask of the Betrayer),which increase the level cap to I think 40,and adds classes I even  never heard of(like favored soul).I haven't tried playing it without companions, but you can have 4 here with full controll of them, and they have much more personalities then in the 1.
Modules
Also, they even made the whole Baldur's Gate into a module here.

Welcome!Judging from your post in the general lbt thread you are familiar with D&D.Have you played it with the traditional paper pen way,or some computer games?

24
Wow I have never seen this topic!
Baldur's Gate actually use second edition D&D rules,so you are right there Malte.
I would say that the whole gang would be either chaotic or neutral good.I think Littlefoot and Cera would fall in the chaotic good,Ducky,Spike and Petire to the neutral good.(Sorry,I started writing this before your post rhombus, but it seems that I agree with you anyway)

For Hyp,Mutt and Nod I would put chaotic neutral, since they just do what they would like to at the given second, bullying in the start, but helping the gang when they feel they should.

For the Sharptooth I would give two algment. If one think that he was  after the gang just for revenge for an eye, than I would say chaotic evil.Or,If his motivation was starvation, then true neutral(we never saw him interact with anyone he wouldn't consider snack,so it's hard to tell)

Some more characters I can think of right now:
Grandpa and Grandma longneck:neutral good. They approve laws, and never eager to break them, but in movie 3 they do bend them.

yelowbelly:chaotic neutral no explanation needed.

Chomper's parents:neutral good. They may eat herbivores, but they have to,and they do what is right to do with the gang in the movies.

Mr Thereehorn:lawful neutral, becose he takes tradition above acting good or evil.

Mo:chaotic good,he is helpfull and care about others, and he likes to do what he wants.not what others expect him to do.

By the way here are the alignments if others want to post too
chaotic good:
neutral good
lawfull good
chaotic neutral
true neutral
lawful neutral
chaotic evil
lawful evil
neutral evil

RUN for your LIFE! and find a VERY good hiding spot and hope that it doesn't catch up to you or find you, or you're an instant sharptooth meal!)
Run?I say CHARGE!

If herbivore I would be a threehorn.Who wants to escape from sharpteeth when you have two good reason on your head why not to mess with you? Also being able to reach 12 tons show how powerfull a threehorn could be.I would be like a living tank, and I could brag about why threehorns are the best, muhahahahaha!

If carnivore I would be the Liopleurodon. That thing looks scary yet elegant.I could swim real fast and could eat fish all day. Also I would be the giant predator of the seas, and the underwater would be an interesting change from the lands.

if female Tyrannosaurus did turn out to be bigger than the males, that wouldn’t necessarily mean the same was true of all theropods.

Indeed it's like saying all male fish is smaller than female fish becose of only one example.Lol don't know why I haven't thought about that when I wrote that.

Those facts about t-rex were very interesting.I always thought that it was proven that female t-rexes were bigger, since not only documentary films show it,but also people see it as proven fact on forums about dinosaurs.

Now I can’t help but mentally compare male Pteranodon bills to jousting lances. Jousting Pteranodons…now there’s a cool image for you (As if pterosaurs weren’t awesome enough already dino_laugh.gif).

:lol  Jousting Pteranodons would be quite a sight, though I wonder how they would fly in those shiny armors.

Finaly I have another question for you :smile
I  read a very interesting thing about a dinosaur called Homalocephale. The strange thing about the bones of this species is the unusually wide hips. Some asume it as a protection from impacts, while others think that this dino were viviparous.Yep,instead of eggs, viviparous. This sound very strange to me becose I haven't heard about dinosaurs being  viviparous before.(also, for me it's strange that if all of them had those hips, than why males needed those if the viviparous theory is true.Maybe all specimen found were female,or even males had smaller, but still large hips compared to others, but still it sounds weird for me.)What do you think about this theory?Do you think that it can be true? Also, have you ever heard about viviparous dinosaurs before?

Ok,that's 2 question. :p

"Of course I am.It's not cold time yet,so it won't be cold."-said Topsy suprised at his daughter's doubts. He was able to see their cave now.
"See?Soon we will be at the safety of the nest, and tomorrow it will be all gone"-He said happily.

The Fridge / T-rex: Predator or Scavenger
« on: July 29, 2013, 04:22:37 AM »
In my opinion it was an opportunist. It  would feast on carcasses, but it had the "gear" to kill large preys too. Also,I think there were an edmontosaurus fossil that showed injuri caused by t-rex that healed, which suggest that it was an active predator too.Of course we an't tell 100% sure that it was caused by t-rex,but if paleontologists say it looks like it was,the that's enough for me.Also it had a good vision for deepnes,a commo thing in predators.

As Mr Threehorn started moving towards the direction where he came from(and where  their nest must be) with Tria in his side he thought about Cera's question. He had no idea what was happenning, but the fact that he didn't know it made him feel uncomfortable. He is a threehorn after all,so he must know or at least presume everything.Yes,he sure know it so he should act like that!

"Don't worry about it.It's just like the skywater in the hot time.It starts suddenly and quickly, but it ends suddenly and quickly too.We go back to the cave now,and everything will be fine tomorrow."
As he said this he fooled himself too that this was just predictable event.Instead he concentrated to find the way back again.

(ooc:"skywater" is the rain in the english version right?)

"I'm here"-Topsy shouted back. The voice of his daughter gave him new power to fight against the wild weather.Soon he reached the kids.
"We must get out of here quickly before it gets too cold for even a threehorn.Climb behind my crest so I can carry you."-He said still loudly becose of the noise of the blizzard, while trying to protect the two young threehorn from the chilling wind.He knew that Tria was behind him,so they can all at last go to a safe place.

"We must find them immediately! This storm starts to annoy even me a bit!I left footprints to our nest so"-Then Topsy heard his daughter crying for help.He knew that his daughter was a self-sufficing threehorn, who only asked for help when she really needed, which he was realy proud of.He let out a loud "RAAAGHH",and charged against the storm at full speed, like he would charge against a sharptooth. His massive body made the earth shake near to him,and he shook his head to keep the snow from covering his sight, not caring about the fact that he felt very cold too.Soon he approached to the silhouette of what seemed to be two young threehorns.
"Cera! Tricia!-he shouted.

Mr Threehorn arrived back to his nest just to notice that none of his family members were inside the safety of the cave in this rough time.As he stomped not in anger, but mostly in worry he heard Tria calling for his doughters. He stormed towards the direction of the sound, while trying not to lose where his nest was, since becose of the thick fog he knew that when he will find his family he will have to lead them back.
