Sounds like you're a fan of air-to-air. I'd be happy to bring my ground pounders to help. I plan to be on a bit this coming week, so if you want company, just shoot me a friend request.

A bit yeah, though its mostly just favouritism for the Typhoon and the Spitfire, at the moment I'm mostly using the F/A-18, which has also been a favourite of mine.

Already sent one, though I won't be on the next week as I'll be away on a trip until the thirty first.

Well, good news is that I managed to get it updated(simply kept at it.)

I was vexed by how slow progression over the initial hurdle of starting out was, but things picked up fairly quickly and its mostly quite well-made, despite the design choices I had gripes with when it came out.

I've pretty much made it my goal in the game to acquire the Typhoon(and eventually the Spitfire that they snuck in there.) but up for sorties as well.

Anyone around here still play Infinity? Could be fun to get a group together for some chill sorties.

I've mostly been ambivalent towards Infinity for the longest time(wasn't too keen on the stocked fuel system). But recently I decided that I'm going to give it a try.

Not sure if it will be a main thing for me, but I wouldn't mind joining you on some from time to time.
Cool! My gamertag is REAF-Nimbus. Shoot me a message in advance if you ever want to fly. I generally only do three to four sorties per session, but I've got a decent selection of planes, so I tend to let others pick the roles that fit them before I fill in.
I don't think I'll be able to, as I only got as far as the update screen(I have the PS3 version) and hit a brick wall. I've tried various methods of tinkering to try and remedy this but so far...no luck.

Its a real shame too, as I really wanted to enjoy Infinity and was prepared to despite not agreeing on some design choices. But since I'm not able to make it to the game itself, its difficult to maintain that outlook.

From the two trailers shown so far, it looks to be quite the return to form for the series. So I'm looking forward to it with great interest.

The Arsenal Bird(the large craft deploying the drones) seems like it will be this game's Stonehenge, Arkbird or Gleipnir, it will be cool to see what they will do with that in regards to the player inevitably facing it.

Its also likely that the Eurofigher Typhoon, my personal favorite modern jet fighter, will be returning as well(if the appearance of its sister-fighter of sorts - the Dassault Rafale that Fyn mentioned -  is any indication.)

On the last note, this could not have been a better-suited game for Playstation VR support; if not its potential killer app.

Role Play Discussion / An idea for a Reboot "Members Meeting Chars" RP
« on: November 30, 2016, 12:59:59 PM »
The original RP had some good ideas and was quite fun. Though I was a little dissatisfied with my contribution to it(In all fairness, I was fifteen and my writing prowess was hardly impressive then). So I would be more than happy to do this again.

I'm probably going to do a vocal cover of 'If We Hold On Together' in the near future, just need to find a good instrumental track for the background.

1988 Theatrical Release / Outcut land before time scenes
« on: September 08, 2016, 02:33:40 PM »
Here's the verdict:

A few of the deleted scenes showed up in adverts(such as the Pizza Hut one) and books based on the first film.

Spielberg either has the footage locked in a vault somewhere or it was destroyed all the way back in '87 or '88 when they decided ultimately not to use it.

The idea that there's a tape or recording out there with the alleged Oasis scene is a dubious one, what I've been able to find is that it was probably cut early in the filming process, meaning it would not have been animated or voiced, if it even existed at all.

There here shots that were obviously cut and it can be scene in parts of the film(such as the Forging For Food scene).

What left is there to find? Its really all but speculation now.

Well, Universal certainly didn't waste time getting to the second one. Sorry about that  :cry

The first one was quite good however. The music certainly fits the scene nicely.

Random Role Play / Insane Cafe 4: The Insane Frontier
« on: August 20, 2016, 11:46:01 PM »
Starship Pheonix

In the ships hanger, Vertigo stirred and hissed. The craft was less occupied than before - perfect. The goddess of insanity stood as tall as she could in such a cramped vessel, her neck bent low. She charged against the entrance to the hanger bay, destroying it. Though she could not explain why, Vertigo felt a pull towards where the gems were. She somehow managed to make her way through the halls and did things that may have been really interesting.

Then she was caught by the digimon, the specter ninja and the shokon female. It was a battle of three against one and all four of them perished in the end, Sheeva taking the goddess of insanity down with her in a sight that would have been quite the spectacle.

Which means this narrator can take his leave without leaving his characters in limbo. Carry on.
