Yeah, I know I did this before, but I have a better idea this time, hear me out. It is a remake of Road Rovers.
Title: Road Rovers: Power of the Pack
Story: In this version, the Road Rover organization is far larger, having many members. The Master began his work in 1970, recruiting adult dogs. By 1993, with the organization already large, he decided to start recruiting and training puppies. The first pups selected were the Rovers we all know, Hunter, Colleen, Exile, Blitz and Shag, as well as two other female dogs (Played by me), Giselle, a beautiful Australian shepherdess, and Anya, a beautiful American eskimo. They are transformed, and, when they emerge, they have the minds and bodies of five-year old children. We have some parts there, and then we all grow up. At 18, Hunter and Colleen notice each other's mutual attractiveness and fall in love. After that, we go on, getting older, and the story really begins, when the characters are around 25.

. OC's are welcome. For example, in the old version, we had a rogue Rover. Maybe we can try that again or something.
. Because Giselle and Anya were listed as being played by me, they are not on the list.
. Giselle is Blitz's girlfriend and Anya is Exile's girlfriend
. Perhaps we can have Shag find a love interest too.
. Taking multiple characters is acceptable.
. This is part of a larger crossover with other series like DC Comics issues and TV series, All Dogs go to Heaven, Balto, Jurassic Park and more, so events of those actually happened and are not fictional here.
. The dogs are well versed in human media, as it was taught to them in training.

yeah only so much we can do with them as dogs, as it would be nice to have more female members on the team. on the show coleen was the only female. hence why most of the guys hit on her including obviously hunter.

That is why I introduced Giselle and Anya to the mix.

it would also allow coleen to have friendships with the other females, thats for sure. now each dog on the show represented a country- hunter US- Coleen England etc, what countries will your chars represent?.

Eh, I never thought of that. I will make this change. Giselle is an Australian shepherd now, and comes from northern Australia. As for Anya, let's have her come from Canada, I guess.

nice so list the country each char is from. obviously we wont have a dog representing every country. we'll say 10 is the max. not sure what to do with muzzle..

Ok, here is a list (not counting Muzzle or the other dogs recruited before Hunter and the others):

As for Muzzle, we will keep him in store. As for other dogs, they will appear periodically, such as the group's teachers, combat instructors and so on.

Warner Brothers finally released it on DVD for a limited time. I managed to get a copy.

why do you think the series was so short?

Well, there are so many theories out there, but a big one centers on the controversy caused by the Russian Names song that Exile, Colleen and Blitz sing in the last episode.

toons have done worse things. see the wartime bugs bunny cartoons where he insults the 'Japs' in derogatory terms.

I agree. People can be too sensitive. Allegedly, it arose because one of the "Russian" surnames sounded like a swear word.

I will keep those to a minimum. Mostly, they will be from other animal series, primarily All Dogs go to Heaven, as there is a strong supernatural element in that to make it work.

Yes. That portion will see us meet Annabelle, Charlie, Sasha and the others. We will also be meeting Charlie and Sasha's pups, as well as Oliver from Oliver & Company, who is their adopted son (long story).

Well, I'd like more, but I am going to be realistic. I was thinking of giving a couple of days to see if others join, all the while planning strategy here in order to draw interest. If no one does, we just take the remaining parts and get going.

That's precisely why I am giving it a few days. Also, it gives me time to put all the ideas I have into a good, coherent storyline.

Thanks. I think you can find them at Youtube, if they haven't already been taken down. Anyway, yeah, we open with a bit of a history, followed by the group as pups being transformed and becoming the future Rovers for the first time. The pup part won't go on super-long, just enough to establish personalities and friendships. Also, we have the first appearance of Belladonna, though that bit hasn't officially started yet.

Looked this one over, and I'll say I'm intrigued.
But it'll be a good while before I can get back to this comp and actually work out a character with some background for this.
As for the series itself. I don't think it was an especially Bad Series, but it certainly wasn't the best one out there. And with shows like Gargoyles, Batman TAS, and Spider-Man TAS out at around the time this came out, I wouldn't be surprised if the Ratings were at least one of the deciding factor in cancelling it after its initial 13 episodes.

Taken me a good while (and a lot longer than I thought), but I finally think I might have one:
Name: Laurel
Age: 23
Species: English Border Collie
Height: 170cm
Weight: 69 Kg
Special Power: Lean-Burning Body. The Oxygen requirement for Laurel’s body to function is far less than normal, permitting greater endurance, able to push herself harder for longer. She has been timed at 17m34s holding her breath while swimming underwater.
Bio: Laurel was not one brought in by ëThe Master’ (And no! I’m NOT talking about The Doctor’s Arch-Nemesis :p ) not was her uprating thanks to Parvo. The organisation that brought her about is one that is ill-known even to herself, as she left at the first opportunity.
These days Laurel has struck out a path of her own, priding herself on her fiercely independent nature and ability to be the one to take charge. A mercenary of sorts, taking on the really dirty jobs that others don’t want to do, assuring herself a more than good pay check given the supply/demand nature of said work.
Naturally given said work, she does have good training in both weapons and martial arts. She has come to favour the AK-103 with 30-round magazine, and the Glock 22 with 15-round magazine. Two of the latter, one of the former.

Incidentally, I do have a few questions concerning this RP:
1. I recall one episode where Parvo was convinced to use Stray Cats with his variant of the Transmogrifier (if thatës the name of it), so would species outside of dogs be permitted?
2. What would the education of the pups raised by The Master be like?
3. What sort of oversight does The Master have? I would think someone would want to be able to keep track of his activities.
4. Who else would have access to his technology? Either by theft or coercion? Kinda vital if the Bio I made is to work, so sorry in advance if it looks like I’m forcing it.

1. Yes, cats and other species are welcome.
2. The education given pups is a lot like school lessons given to human children, so that they know what the human world is like.
3. He is monitored by various world governments.
4. Parvo, whoever we need to have access in order to make the plot line work.

Well, we are off to a great start! All right, everyone, the roles of Shag, Blitz, Exile, Parvo and Groomer are all open. Further OC's are welcome as well. Also, I have decided that, with our crossover elements, Belladonna of ADGTH fame will be our primary villain. I had some crazy idea about her meeting Parvo and Groomer and quickly dominating them.

All right, as I mentioned, the remaining characters are all open. Also, I want to state that there will be one first appearance of Belladonna before the action begins, and that is in five-year old Hunter's bedroom one night while he is asleep. She is cloaked in a spell so he cannot see (if he were to wake up) or hear her. If this needs modification, I can fix it. My other idea is that he does wake up and see her, leading to a great fear of her that he must overcome.

They haven't been transformed yet, but they will in just a second. I just need someone else to post so that I am not double posting. Maybe a thing from the POV of the young Blitz. It doesn't need to be long. Once all are transformed, they will be at the level of five-year old humans. We will grow up from there.

Yes. I will give it a day or two and then send him a PM. Anyway, as I was saying, Blitz flirting with all the girl dogs his age can happen in his teens, but it stops when he is a young adult. He is still arrogant, cowardly and a butt-biter through and through.

Yeah, I know the feeling. Anyway, now, we're on again. In the next scene, I am going to do that bit with Hunter and Belladonna, and then let's cut to them as teenagers, about 15 or so. We can do much more with them then. I will mention their schooling and such as we move along.

a bit of advice simba. when you rp. try and avoid things ' like ' watch out for this guy.' then this guy came up' you want to involve other people in whatever your characters are doing. allows people to take an interest in what you are doing.

Apologies. I developed some bad habits in my years of RP'ing elsewhere where that sort of stuff was common. Anyway, I was thinking that they should get their first mission. I was reading the Dinotopia books the other day, and thought of some crazy idea of Parvo going there to collect theropod dinosaurs (the island's location having become known to the outside world since the 1800's) for bio-warfare. Yeah, the rovers are teens, but I need something to do to establish the action.

sure. i'm thinking coleen should have a very strong bond with Arya and gisele. a deep and abiding friendship. as for rping, its simply a matter of having the righter rping partners.

All right, thanks. Good to hear. Also, one last thing. I have been thinking about all our ADGTH references, and have made a choice: I am moving the events of ADGTH 2 to the present. It just makes it easier. At this point, Charlie is still in heaven and the film's events happen in 2013 (the year the film is set in in-universe is unknown anyway).

I was reading the Dinotopia books the other day, and thought of some crazy idea of Parvo going there to collect theropod dinosaurs (the island's location having become known to the outside world since the 1800's) for bio-warfare.
Given everything else that's been added to the story already from other sources, packing in more is pushing it rather too far for me.

Hey everyone. Sorry I was gone so long. Ok, I have toned down how many crossovers I do here. For the first mission, let's keep the idea of bio-warfare, but cut out my original plan and have them hit the savannahs of east Africa instead. No crossover bits, except maybe one appearance by Belladonna where she reveals herself to the team and causes a bit of trouble for them.
