Not really. No reason it can't be set in any city or country or even some other world. It's not like the folks who made the 2nd movie will get mad if you set it in the same city as their movie but ignore their movie.

Charlie the good guy con artist? Not sure if he stays like that all the time. dont' recall the other chars to well. Didn't he have a dachshund side kick?

In the first movie, I think Charlie was a gangster besides a con and a gambler. I started on an fanfic (one thought for an RP) based on the 1930 New Orleans setting with Charlie still sort of like a gangster, and with a cast of other gangsters and a canine "Untouchables" team.

The second one was already explained, but in the series, Charlie & Itchy were guardian angels, doing charitable work with kids, and Charlie still tries to pull off some cons, but almost always backfires for moral messages.

In the movie, all dogs went to heaven. Carface went to heaven even after murdering Charlie (and tried to do it again several times over).

I guess in that universe everyone gets to heaven, reguardless of what they do, or maybe only dogs and they can do whatever they wish. Not sure who to do.

Do the 2 angel chars have any powers the players should know about? There was a cartoon looong ago in the 80's I think where Gary Coleman played an angel char in a cartoon show.

I think the only magic Charlie and Itchy used in the series were given by Annabelle for emergencies. In the 2nd movie, he used such a gift so Sasha could be understood by David (the human char). I think most of the magic came from Annabelle and Belladonna.
