Some dogs do have jobs, like special help dogs and police dogs. The series had bartenders, like Sasha and another dog whose name I can't remember. She had a low raspy voice.

Since I've been meaning to establish what the bad guys' plot is, here's what I've came up with based on re3cent posts:

Belladonna and Blight would basically be trying to create a "hell on earth" scenario using the Ravics and the Pyres, while Charlie, Annabelle and the others are their main opposition, so they'd natural try to eliminate them first.

The Ravics-I thought of an explanation in my most recent post.

Pyres-Smaller creatures, can transform, not human in shape. They cannot talk either.
