The Welcome Center / Hello

My name is Dan. I'm 22 years old from Texas. I have been an LBT fan since I saw the movie as a toddler. I became obsessed with the series as the sequels came out, getting pretty much every single one for Christmas each year. However, the older I got, the more my dad, mom, and sister would tell me that the series was "for babies" and that I needed to grow up >.< (I'm sure many of us can relate to that).

When I entered high school, I started watching them in secret D; I ended up giving them away before my junior year of high school because I was too ashamed to have them, especially after my sister would tell her friends and make fun of me to them. I was even afraid to make my own friends thinking they would make fun of me.

For years, I tried to block any memory of the series because I told myself "you shouldn't like that D;" It did help my social life quite a bit though. However, now that I'm older and more mature, I feel like I was overreacting. I even recently re-watched all the movies. I used to have 1-11 on VHS (and I cherished them like rare diamonds. lol). I never saw 12 or 13 until recently. I enjoyed 12, but 13 was just awful.  :bang I was also tempted to stop watching because it was boring. lol Having said that, no matter how badly I try to hide it, LBT will always be in my heart <3

My other interests include music. I LOVE music! :D I sing, play guitar, and play piano. (I also have perfect pitch  ;) ). My favorite artists are The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, Ke$ha, and as of recently, I have a newfound love for One Direction and Olly Murs. <3 (if you guys don't know who Olly Murs is, look him up on YouTube. His music is AMAZING! and addicting! :D ) I'm also a big fan of the TV show Glee. It's my current obsession, probably just about as big as my childhood obsession with LBT, if not more.

Well, that's about all I have for now. Great to meet you guys! :D

1988 Theatrical Release / Outcut land before time scenes
« on: April 02, 2013, 06:22:14 PM »
I think the original version of the film was altered quite a bit, which explains why the movie is only one hour and 9 minutes long. I think Littlefoot was supposed to find the Great Valley before them all, but FAR ahead of them, leading to the part where they find the desert, Littlefoot actually mistaking it for the Great Valley. Then, Cera says her "This is your Great Valley?!?!?!??? YOU'RE CRAZY!!!!!" line. If you notice the part where Littlefoot sees his mother's spirit in the clouds, you see the giant rock in the background that killed the Sharptooth, which seems like it was supposed to happen before they killed Sharptooth.

Oh thats easy. Because if they flew over the crack, they would fall and break their backs! xD

"Dont step on a crack, or youll fall and break your back!" - Ducky

Haha sorry I had to :p

Character Discussion / Real life people who remind you of characters?

Haha I always imagined myself like Littlefoot as a kid. Idk why. Probably because I was a boy and I didn't really care for any real-life human role models I guess. :p

I remember the first guy that ever bullied me made me think of Hyp (also, Ozzy came to mind at times, but mostly Hyp). Also at times, my sister's stubbornness and rudeness made me think of Cera. (funny cause her name is Cara) lol

General Land Before Time / Death in the Gang

Haha I like how people only picked Ducky and Littlefoot. Ducky would be missed, because we would miss hearing her "Yep yep yep"s and I always saw Littlefoot as like the leader of the gang, as well as like the peacemaker.

Am I the only one who's bothered by the line "Though you look like you, we think you'll like us too" in the song "One Of Us Now" in LBT II? I always just found that line silly, even as a child. :p

General Land Before Time / How often do you watch LBT movies?
« on: April 02, 2013, 01:35:21 AM »
I used to watch them RELIGIOUSLY from when I saw the original to when I was about 16 years old. However, my parents and sister used to pester me about how the series was "for babies". While I tried not to listen to them, I eventually gave in. I, like most teenagers, began to think that anything that didn't involve popular music was lame. However, I recently re-watched the TLBT series and I enjoyed it just as much as ever. I had only seen 1-11 until a couple months ago. 12 was good and I quite enjoyed it, but 13 was just dreadful (what were they THINKING?!??!?!?!?  :idea ) anyway, I can't say I watch it as frequently as I used to, but I will always cherish the series as long as I live. <3
