Here's something i made a kind of what if moment.
Now some may remember already, but I do not like the tar monster prank scene for many reasons. Mainly as it makes littlefoot and the others come across as spiteful and no better then Cera. As Cera is my favourite character despite her faults. It also bugs me that they make no attempt to go after Cera when she storms off, just stand there calling out to her. And in the original script it was even worse, Cera yells at Littlefoot and co she hates them and never wants to see them again before storming off, and Littlefoot despite having already found the Great Valley in this draft, just gives up tells the others to let her go and leave without her.
So this watercolour painting ive illustrated what i would have done.
Have Cera crying and be full of remorse and shame, then she hears Littlefoots voice calling out to her but she hides behind a rock as shes too ashamed and maybe embarrassed to face them just yet, Then Littlefoot and the other come out of the cave Littlefoot saying something along the lines of " Cera,... Please come back. We're sorry.. we didn't mean to upset you. Also I've found the great valley, that's why i came back. And i didn't mean what i said about never wanting you with us.. of course i want you to get to the valley and get back with your family too..."
Cera hears all this but is unsure what to do. Meanwhile Littlefoot and the others think Cera really doesn't want to go back with them and the Littlefoot says sadly " Guess we'll just have to go back without her" and they reluctantly leave. Cera then decides she'll follow them at a distance while thinking up how to apologise and make up with them.
So that's my idea its just a idea i thought id share, i may get flack for it but hope you like the pic. Also i had Littlefoot and the others still partly covered in tar as i thought it was weird how it just suddenly melted off.
