I have started this tread on Winnie the Pooh about the films and TV shows.

I use to watch the show. My favorite character is Igor:

You mean Ee-yore or whatever that's spelled? Haha now that I'm older his depressed self-irony always cracks me up :DD

Honestly, I love Winnie the Pooh, if things had gone a little different, it would have become my fandom instead of TLBT but I happened to rewatch LBT at the time so I got into the GoF instead of some Winnie the Pooh community which (I'm sure) exist somewhere too :)

Kanga is my favourite character, Kath Soucie's voice for her is so sweet, warm and motherly.

Yeah. He was never in the A.A Milne stories.

Did you see the movie about Milne and his son?

Right next to the Land Before Time, Winnie the Pooh is another old favorite of mine! LBT ultimately won my top spot due to my love of dinosaurs, but I'll always have a place in my heart for Pooh and his friends. Piglet was always my favorite character.

Yeah. He was never in the A.A Milne stories.

I believe one of Gopher's lines in the movie actually referred to that, where he said something like "you won't find me in the book," talking about the phone book in the context of the scene but also serving as an inside joke about the fact that he was a new character.

Who is your least fav character?

Yeah. He was never in the A.A Milne stories.

Did you see the movie about Milne and his son?

No. The Gopher was never in the books he was introduced for the American audience who were unfamiliar with Winnie the Pooh at the time.

This is about Roo's "Mental disorder"

Quote
The son of Kanga, Roo seems to display symptoms of being on the autism spectrum. Roo seems to operate on two opposite ends; sometimes he doesn't pay attention to anything that is going on around him, and he ends up in somewhat dangerous situations. Other times he decides to sit quietly in his mom's pouch, completely ignoring the world around him. This says potential autism to me.

You know that when Tigger and Winnie the Pooh have a conversation it's just Jim Cummings talking to himself in both voices.

Very talented voice actor.

Just like when Kath Soucie does Phil and Lil in the Rugrats.

Just talking to themselves when Phil and Lil do a scene together.

I never thought there was.

I love cartoons and the voices that come out of the imagination.

Like with Winnie the Pooh bringing the books to life with real movements and voices.

It's best if you copy and past it into Youtube yourself for your own viewing.

It WAS made by Disney but it's terrible.

I think we see many foils of certain personalitoes:

Tyger is ADHD, Excited and Lively and eternal optimist. Who is the opposite of Pooh who is Placid, Slow, and of gentler Demeanor.

Piglet is Tyger’s opposite, full of trepidation. While Igor is a total pessimist to Tyger’s active optimism, and Pooh’s passive optimism. Rabbit is similiar to Piglet, but Rabbit is a proactive pessimist and worrier, while Igor is a passive pessimist, doesn’t worry, is just depressed and defeated.

He's a cartoon character, saying he's obese would have to be calculated.

The eating disorder is more of an easier argument.

Winnie the Pooh is so lovable though.

He is, but he is addicted to honey.

Honey Anonymous has tried to get him to stop. :lol

Winnie the Pooh is the real reason honey is so expensive now.  :D

Seriously though, anyone see the live action movie that came out a couple years ago?  Kinda reminded me of the movie "Hook".  I thought it was pretty good.

They ruined the characters.

Christopher Robin HATED the Winnie the Pooh characters by the time he got toe adulthood.

Yeah. I prefer the hand drawn style and keep it the way it was classic 2D and the animals and Christopher Robin a young boy who doesn't age.

Even the 2011 Winnie The Pooh Movie was better than the Christopher Robin movie and that one changed all but 2 cast members. Roo was an exception but it's a shame Kath Soucie got fired as Kanga.
