The Fridge / Online friends vs Physical friends
« on: July 15, 2013, 12:45:16 AM »
Some of the best friends I have are online friends. I hate to say this, but my real-life friends are not even NEAR as good as the friends I've made online. Good friends can be very hard to find, especially when you're shy like me, so many people take to the Internet. Many people also find love online. I fell in love with a guy online that I dated for a year before breaking up with him. The friends I have I wish I could meet in person because I've gotten really close to them.. :(

Character Discussion / LBT characters....at Hogwarts?????
« on: June 28, 2013, 01:12:40 AM »
You know they did say that Hufflepuffs were "loyal" and "pure" and whatnot, but quite a few of them were rude to Harry in parts of the series. I'm sure Helga Hufflepuff herself would have been very disappointed in them. :p

Lately, I've kind of been getting into Taylor Swift. I don't really like country music, but for some reason I just LOVE Taylor Swift!!!!! :D <3 ^_^

General Land Before Time / Continuity errors
« on: June 15, 2013, 05:19:20 AM »
You know, I've always wondered what happened to Cera's mother. She is seen at the beginning of the original, and after the great earthshake, but not after that. It's possible she was killed by a sharptooth or got sick, but it was never actually mentioned what happened to her.

General Land Before Time / Continuity errors
« on: June 08, 2013, 01:00:25 AM »
Let's face it: The Land Before Time has continuity errors. Pretty much all movies and TV series' do. They are nearly unavoidable. That being said, I feel like pointing out a few:

- Littlefoot's brothers and sisters: In the beginning of the original, you see the nest. With a few eggs missing, and Littlefoot's is the only one left. However, in Journey to Big Water, he says "I wish my mom would have given me a brother" then Grandma and Grandpa act as if he was her only child, and while he was, it seems he was never told about his would-be brothers and sisters who were eaten as eggs before being born.

- Use of the term "sleep stories" in The Great Longneck Migration" and after: Now while this is my favorite sequel of them all, I thought it was strange that they suddenly started to use that ter.

Feel free to list any more you can think of ^_^

Gamers Zone / Pokemon X & Y
« on: May 29, 2013, 07:13:52 PM »
I love PokÈmon, but I will always prefer the older generations over the newer ones. I still have my old Red Version from 1999 and I still play it. :smile I used to have all of the Generation 1 and 2 games, but they stopped saving so I had to throw them away  :cry But thankfully, I found a way to play them online :p

Silver Screen / The Great Gatsby
« on: May 29, 2013, 04:32:39 PM »
I understand exactly what you mean. That Baz Luhrmann guy seems like one of the worst directors ever!!!!!!  :bang He ruined Romeo + Juliet by placing the time period in the 1990s (when the film was made) yet making the characters talk like they were in the 14th century. It was just stupid. If you're gonna modernize Romeo and Juliet, make it more like West Side Story (one of my favorite movies ever!!!!! <3). He should have just let the characters speak normally. Moulin Rouge kind of annoyed me as well. My sister loves it, but for some reason I just never really got into it..  :neutral

Silver Screen / The Great Gatsby
« on: May 27, 2013, 11:07:13 PM »
Personally, I think the movie was overdone. There were ALOT of unnecessary things in the movie that didn't need to be there. I remember reading the book my junior year of high school for my English class. We watched the original movie that was made in the 70s, and I quite liked it. However, I was more than aggravated  :anger by the fact that they played RAP music at Gatsby's party in the 1920'S!!!!!!!!!! GRR MADE ME SO MAD!!!!!! >.<  :bang However, I didn't mind the classy jazz remake of BeyoncÈ's "Crazy In Love" and the songs that actually DID sound authentic and stayed true to the time period of the film.

General Land Before Time / Strut or Ozzy?
« on: May 27, 2013, 10:58:13 PM »
Ozzy because he's just Ozz-some  :smile Also, he's one of the greatest and most reasonable villains I've ever seen in a children's movie. :p

General Land Before Time / Grandpa's Illness
« on: April 29, 2013, 09:37:16 PM »
I'm not entirely sure what disease he had, but I don't think that Grandpa would have been cured in less than a minute like he did in the movie.

Character Discussion / LBT characters....at Hogwarts?????
« on: April 24, 2013, 01:27:44 AM »
Now, I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the right place or not, but I felt this would be a good place since it is a character discussion. Anyway, whenever I watch a series, I always like to think about what Hogwarts houses each character would be in.  :smile Here are what I think:

Gryffindor

Grandpa (also headmaster)
Bron- head of the house
Doc
Littlefoot
Guido

Hufflepuff

Grandma- head of house
Mr. Thicknose
Ducky
Petrie
Spike
Tippy
Ali
Mo
ALL mothers of the children of course :p

Ravenclaw

Sue- Head of house
Chomper
The Rainbow Faces

Slytherin

Mr. Threehorn/Topsy- Head of house
Cera
Ozzy
Strut
Hyp
Mutt
Nod
Pterano
Rinkus
Sierra
ALL Sharpteeth (besides Chomper of course, who is in Ravenclaw. ;) )

The Yellow-Bellies are muggles and/or squibs!  :lol

Silver Screen / Harry Potter fans: rank each movie
« on: April 24, 2013, 01:09:18 AM »
Now, you don't have to count Deathly Hallows parts 1 and 2 as separate movies. I just prefer to, as I preferred one over the other. Mine are as follows:

1) The Deathly Hallows part 1- It's just perfect in every way. I just love the darkness and mysteriousness of it. <3 The tale of the three brothers gives me chills every time I watch it. :oops

2) The Prisoner of Azkaban- This is one of the few movies that I actually think was done better than the book. I am always super intrigued when I watch the climax of the film, with Sirius, Lupin, Snape, and Peter Pettigrew. Also, the part when Harry looks for Peter Pettigrew on the map is one of the creepiest and most suspenseful parts of the movie and one of my favorite scenes, even though it wasn't in the book.

3) The Goblet of Fire- It's a little choppy and the book is SOOOO much better, but they really did a great job with the movie with what they had and stayed well within the time constraint.

4) The Half-Blood Prince- Again, choppy. The fight scene could have made the movie a million times better, but I was pleased overall with this one.

5) The Sorcerer's Stone- The one that started it all. :DD This one is great, and they are just SOOO FREAKING CUTE!!!!! <3 Especially seeing how they grew up from this one.

6) The Deathly Hallows part 2- It was great, but I actually didn't find it as good as part 1. Most people I say this to disagree with me though. :(

7) The Order of the Phoenix- Now this is the choppiest movie of them all. It's the shortest (if you don't count Deathly Hallows part 2). While I thought the climax scene was done amazingly, there were lots of parts that were left out from the book, like when they visited St. Mungo's Hospital, which I would have really liked to have seen.

8) The Chamber of Secrets- Now this is kind of my own fault, but I have seen this one WAAAAYY too many times. >.< Also, at times I think it's a bit boring. It's actually the longest one. Idk, I just don't like it as much as the other films.

General Land Before Time / Do you think Ali is a Mary Sue?
« on: April 23, 2013, 05:34:21 PM »
I'm not sure about a Mary Sue, but I do think she was a bit closed-minded at first, especially when she first met Littlefoot's friends and was intimidated by them.

General Land Before Time / How much LBT have you not seen?

I didn't see 12 and 13 until a couple months ago. 12 was good, but 13 was awful. I have not seen the TV series at all though.

Sound Off! / Favorite album?
« on: April 18, 2013, 04:22:35 PM »
Velvet Rope is a good album, though not quite as good as her first 3 I don't think, but that's just me.   I've never heard Erotica or Bedtime Stories. The titles of those albums are probably the reason I've shyed away from ever listening to them. D; I do, however, love Madonna's 80s music up until Vogue :smile

Also, I forgot to mention Olly Murs' self-titles debut album in the UK, as well as his 2nd UK album, In Case You Didn't Know are great albums too <3 (but then again, Olly Murs is never NOT great ;) )
