Well, I just had a flash of inspiration, and decided to try my hand at making another RP!
It's the year 2013, a world much like our own. With only one major difference. Anthropomorphic animals, colloquially known as "Furries", exist alongside humans, living just like any other. However, within the group of Furries, there are many subsects, ranging from bestial to near-human. This is the story of that world...
Types of Furries (common reference names in parens):
Kemono (=Species name=-Morph ((Ex: Wolf-morph, Dragon-morph, etc)))
By far the most human of the "Furries," they resemble average humans, save for small animalian traits, such as ears or tails. They are physically similar to humans, though their abilities vary dependent on the parts that are animalistic.
Anthros ( =Species name=-Pronouns ((Ex: Wolf-man, Bunny-boy, Cat-girl, etc)))
The second most human branch of the "Furries," they resemble a fully-anthropomorphic version of their species, and possess no overly-specialized abilities outside of their innate species-based abilities, such as enhanced speed for bunny- or cheetah- types, etc.
Weres ( Were-=Species Name= ((Ex: Werewolf, Weredog, Werechimera, etc)))
In their normal state, weres resemble perfectly normal humans, save for occasional mutations such as feline pupils or elongated teeth. When they transform, which they can do at will and maintain for as long as they want, they take on an anthropomorphic form, resembling their species. Some species may even possess multiple forms, usually progressing further as they go. For example, a Wereshark may take on the rough skin and elongated teeth of a shark in their first form, while their second form may grow gills and have their legs merge into a tail.
Zoans (=Species Name= Zoan ((Ex: Bat Zoan, Mole Zoan, etc)))
Zoans are an offshoot of weres, who instead of maintaining their forms, instead mutate rapidly into a very strongly altered beast, maintaining it for a very short time, with greatly expanded abilities. An example of a Zoan's ability is that a Cheetah Zoan was able to clock speed approaching Mach 1.
Beasts (=Species Name=-Beast ((Ex: Dragon-Beast, Shark-Beast, etc)))
Beasts are usually hulking anthro versions of their species, however, their minds are barely above the level of a Feral.

Furry? Well, considering I'm a furry here, I would like to participate in this xD...I like the romantic style furry RP rather than the action-packed for some odd reason...just my preference, but not saying that others' aren't as good.

I'm with LBTLover1. As awesome as gunfights and explosions are, sometimes, a slower RP can be fun. Though taking everyone's votes so far into consideration, I may have an idea...

Essentially, just Day-to day stuff. Going to school, or shopping, or to hang out with friends. Things like that.

One can have an rp with both. Some action, and some romance as well.

So, the plot I have set up at the moment is something along the lines of this:
University setting, where there's a fairly normal gathering of "Furries" and humans. However, of late, mysterious attacks have begun happening, usually at night, though that may have begun to change lately. Some of the students have begun to exhibit unusual talents, or have simply banded together to act as vigilantes...

Sounds like it could be an interesting story. I guess your power level is fairly low level stuff sounds like.

Mmm-hmm. Mostly fairly low-leveled. Zoans would be the exception, but they can only sustain their power levels for a few seconds to a minute. Most characters will be at human to slightly above levels.

Aw, so the Cheetah Zoan can only go to Mach 1 for a few minutes? Seems fair...

In all honesty, a cheetah zoan probably couldn't even sustain it that long. It's like a sprinter. Really fast, but not for long.

So can go full speed for a few seconds then they'd have to rest or something?
Or a cyclops type could, I guess, do 1 blast then he'd have to rest a few hours since it would not only drain his power but leave him tired as well?

The harder a Zoan pushes themselves, the shorter they can hold their transformation. A zoan who transforms and just stands still would maintain their form a lot longer than one running full speed.

Funny thing is...I'm not so familiar with Zoans...or Kemonos (I've seen them before, but not fully aware of what their personality and physique is)...and it's weird cause I should know it...

Kemono I got from Japan. And Zoans are from the Bloody Roar series of games.

I guess it can happen to some, or some may just want to do that for whatever reason.

Feral is a rare thing, basically similar to several real world birth defects or degenerative diseases of the brain.

He won't be a Jedi in this RP, I just commissioned him as such for an upcoming tabletop game I'm going to be playing in a few weeks. Originally he started out as just an alternate character of mine. ^^ This is just to give you a general ref of what he looks like.

This sounds interesting - I've entertained the idea myself for a few of my stories :)
I voted for Action-Adventure because I'm like that that I love pulse-pounding genres such as that - I feel they draw the reader or viewer in more and really enhance the feeling that you're right there in the story.
I dunno if you're accepting anymore characters, but I have an frilled lizard captain of a guard if you still need another slot :p I believe he's be in the regular Anthro category you specified.
And it's about time I got involved in the RP-ing community here *facepalm*

I vote for a hybrid of slice of life and romance/drama. It would be a nice change from action.

Species: Gecko with some avian genetic manipulations

Hair color: No hair, but does have white feathers on his head
Normal Outfit: His outfits border on the austere and plain. He won't typically wear anything too eye catching. He prefers blues, greens, and dull silvers.
Personality: Quiet and reserved, Vergil is more of a thinker than he is a talker. He will be open around those he knows well and trusts. He has a healthy respect for life and the protection of it, and his quiescent nature masks an inner conviction to stand up for others if need be. He knows he's odd in terms of his genetic differences, but just makes the most of it and goes on with life.
That's about all I can think of/have time to write for now! I'll probably add in more later as I get more time!

Appearance: Were form 1: Looks like a fairly normal anthro fox, though the ears and tail both have more wolfish traits, and instead of having "gloves" and "boots", he instead has black scaled forearms and shins, culminating in extensions that go a little past his elbows.
Gender: Male
Skin/Fur Color: Red-brown
Eye Color: Dark Brown
Hair Color: Brown, worn short in back, with long bangs covering his right eye
Normal Outfit/Distinguishing Clothes: Wears 8 rings, one on each of his fingers, both middle fingers adorned with red-stoned rings. Wears a Trenchcoat almost constantly, regardless of the weather or heat outside.
Personality: Adrian is quiet, thoughtful, and often described as "gentle". A naturally affectionate sort of person, he tends to be over the top in his displays of emotion, especially good emotions. He laughs heartily where others might simply chuckle to themselves, and will glomp anyone he genuinely likes without fail. Has been described as "a force of nature" by some of his friends.
Other Traits: Rarely seen outside of his were form, apparently deeming it "more comfortable" then his human form.

comfortable clothes. Doesn't care about fashion. Prefers his clothes to be one color instead of a multi colored shirt, ect.
Personality: Quiet, and laid back. Though he can be strong willed when he needs to be. He likes gadgets of various types.
Other noteworthy traits: bisexual. Has the basic abilities of a dragon, flight, breath weapon, maybe some senses more acute then human's. The breath weapon is now where as powerful as a quadruped dragon since they are, I'd guess, much larger and such.

Okay, so I've been on a giant robot watching kick recently, and have decided on an expanded, more complete plotline.
Here goes...
The year is 21XX. Humans and "furries" coexist peacefully, however, recently, something has begun to stir. Strange tears in the fabric of reality have begun popping up, almost always creating some form of chaotic disruption in the world. Some draw people in, causing them to vanish, while others create strange creatures ranging in size from near-humanoid to gigantic beasts the size of skyscrapers. Many of the world's residents choose to simply ignore these events, treating them as a minor irritant at best, trusting the government to handle them. As a response team, the world governments founded a new initiative. The Titan project. Giant, pilot-controlled mecha, used to defend against major attacks. However, such machines can only be piloted by a select few....
These are the stories of their lives, and the lives they touch...

I guess each will have their own mecha? The only mecha sorta anime I know much about is robotech, from having seen it years ago.

Most volunteer pilots do, yes. Several rookies use two-pilot trainers, as well as the rumored existence of multi-pilot super mechs.

In general, though, the larger the machine, the less humanoid it becomes. The rumored "Final Defense" unit, for example, is stated to be a floating Island-esque gun battery array.

Normal Outfit/Distinguishing Clothes Rhodan typically wears his tri-corner captain's hat, adorned with a scarlet feather. He will occasionally wear a sash decked with several of his medals or a cape if the weather calls for it. He carries his saber at all times :3
Personality Rhodan is a disciplined, respectable, hard-working, tough-hewn lizard. He is very much by the book and tends to be a little OCD that way. However, he is prone to uprisings, mostly in his thoughts, or whenever protocol requires it, or can freely be ignored. He's very in-the-moment, and decisive. Other qualities are sophisticated, cultured, honorable, witty
Other features Rhodan is straight, but he is single. Being the workaholic that he is, who has time for a mate?
As per religion, Rhodan is highly religious, but he's not over-the-top.
Rhodan has a rather strained relationship to his superior (in the story), otherwise, he gets along with members of his rank, is highly respected by those who follow under his command (all expect the rookies, who think he's way too harsh or unreasonable), and can get along quite well with other citizens. He's a bit of a loner, though.

Alright, now that people are in, I guess it's time I posted descriptions of the mechanized units!
Type 1: "Cores"
The most basic form of the government's mechanized defense program, and a required component of any other, larger units. Powered armor, only slightly larger than the wearer, it serves to augment the user's physical attributes, as well as allow synchronization with the larger units. Developed as test units, they cannot mount large weapons, limited to hand-carried equipment. Commonly deployed against small incursions from the other side of the tears.
Type 2: "Hunters"
Roughly 10-30 Meters tall, and piloted by a single operator, the "Hunter" units are the most commonly seen of the Titan Project. Deployed to stop medium-grade incursions, each unit is customized to the desire of the operator, from the control mechanism to the integral weapon systems. Any individual unit can mount roughly 8 weapons, and usually does so in pairs. Hand-carried armaments are not uncommon, either. Some Type 2's have been modified into two-seat trainer units as well, designed to assist rookie pilots in learning the basics.
Type 3: "Titans"
The first unit to require a second operator, the 45-60 Meter tall "Titan" class units are towering behemoths of machines, and, while still bipedal, exhibit far more deviations from humanoid. Capable of mounting up to 12 weapon hardpoints, and easily able to lift weapons the size of small buildings, these massive war mechs are deployed against monstrous foes from the tear. Some of the more complex machines require even a third operator, usually to handle extra limbs, or, depending on the unit, possibly to maintain unit stability, regulating power flow and other such vital tasks.
Type 4: "Omegas"
Colossal, city-sized fortresses, the "Omega" class units are merely a rumor, though the crew requirement to handle such a weapon would no doubt be astronomical.
Each Combat pilot character is automatically given a Type 1 and Type 2 unit. Type 2's can be either airlifted or deployed via underground tunnels to their operator's suit signal.
Type 3's are not able to be deployed quickly, instead requiring a significant amount of time, as well as a second character to co-pilot.
Type 4's are merely rumors at the time, though that may change...

Once the mutation happened however, his mind slipped away almost overnight and now while still being able to speak fluently when he wants to, most of his mind has fallen into darkness and is on survival instinct only.
Other noteworthy traits: Is genuinly fond of either gender but tends to keep this info to himself. Being as smart as he is, he believes that if God did exists then he wouldn't allow this to happen to anyone and that has forced him to see things as an Atheist

So before the first skirmish happens, I suppose I should post a basic description of the Hunter-Class Units!
Hunter Unit Mass-Production:
Height: 25 Meters
Design: Roughly bipedal humanoid
Armor: Medium-Level Ablative plating
Control System- Head-mounted cockpit: Dual-stick design.
Power Supply: Nuclear Reactor
Propulsion: Multi-Vernier thrust System- Backpack, Shin, Foot thrusters
Integrated Armaments:
Dual Nanocarbon Swords-Forearm Mounted
Plasma Projector System-Arm mounted: Emission port in hand
Dual Gatling guns: Shoulder-Mounted

Keep in mind that all pilots are allowed to customize their units to their heart's content, from aesthetic changes, to integral weaponry, to controls and power systems.
Adrian's Hunter unit: Black Kyuubi
Height: 28 Meters
Design: Similar to a Mass-Production unit with the addition of a pair of ear-like command antenna, and a long, fox-tail like heat vent unit which can split into nine smaller tails when it goes into it's hyper form, or simply to vent heat more efficiently. Forearms and Shins have been enlarged significantly, using bulkier armor and a tougher design. Long spikes extending from the elbow guards. Sports a spiked pad on the right knee, and an optical boost on the right side of the head, which can fold down to target opponents.
Armor: Light Ablative plating, save for the forearms and shins which mount heavier armor.
Control System: Head-Mounted Cockpit, using the Core to trace movement of the pilot.
Power Source: Nuclear Reactor
Propulsion: Multi-Vernier Thrust System- Boosters on the feet, back, and elbows. Multiple Thrusters integrated into the shin armor, enabling hovering.
Integrated Weapons:
Nanocarbon swords-Forearm Mounted
Grapple Launchers: Hands extend, forming into three-part claws
Pile Bunkers: Channels run from elbow to hand, extending the spikes rapidly.
Energy spine system: Hand/Forearm Mounted, fires superheated plasma spikes. Short projectile range.

Personality: He is often very forlorn and defiant but occasionally can be friendly and easygoing at times. He is very reverent of Nature and a formidable hunter and warrior. He shows a good amount of respect to friend and foe alike.

Biography: A young Jaguar who was born into the tribe Spirit Walkers, Hania Enapay was the son of the chieftain of the Enapay clan, but soon the land was defiled and turned into an urban jungle. The humans involved had urged the tribe to leave and the Enapay clan was one of the clans to agree, all but Hania and his father, who knew that their land was very sacred and they couldn't afford to move.
The chieftain was shot dead and Hania left with his mother, they eventually ended up living in a human town. There Hania was deemed a freak and was never accepted by the locals, children avoided him, churches claimed he and his mother were demons and needed to be purged and local politicians used Hania and his family as scapegoats. As the years went buy, Hania decided he had enough, he stood up to the society and their prejudice, saying that no matter what they do, they will never break him or force him to change. As a result, the jaguar was beaten by a mob of angry locals, he didn't bother to fight back, instead just standing there and taking it. This event was considered a disgrace to his family and so he was cast out, doomed to live out the rest of his life as a pariah.
Hania isn't much of a fighter, but he won't back down if the situation calls for it. He wields a broadsword known as Hunter's Fang as well as a Tomahawk, spear and a bow & arrow.
