No real limit, since there's so many to choose from.

And yes, you can play Pterano.  The list includes sequels and series.

The only two right off the bat I'd like to play are Balto and Feivel.  Other than that, I'll wait on others after everyone else had their picks.

I'll have my Rift Fey OC done soon.

Since we got 4 folks (including myself) for the Rift in the polls, I'm putting up it's own thread here.

As said, the story takes place when the Northern Lights extend across the world at different time eras, then the last thing seen was a glowing deep red crack in the sky.  All characters of the story find themselves across a vast landscape of jagged mountain ranges with valleys full of dense forests.  And in the far horizon, stands the massive red crack in the sky, pulsating with dread.

For characters, you're free to pick any hero and/or villain from movies done by Don Bluth or from Universal Studios.  We can do discussions concerning other movies that Don Bluth may had a hand in (like certain Disney films).  Here's the list (and it can be changed):

The Land Before Time
All Dogs Go to Heaven
Secret of NIMH
Thumbelina
Rock-A-Doodle
An American Tail
We're Back
Ferngully:  The Last Rainforest
Once Upon a Forest
The Pagemaster
Banjo the Woodpile Cat
Balto
A Troll in Central Park
Anastasia
Titan A.E. (limit the space technology)
The Pebble & the Penguin

For the Rift Fey, here are some common rules:

- They can be male or female
- They are all small (same size as Thumbelina)
- They all have 4 dragonfly-like wings
- They are not powerful in magic, and it's normally enchantments (small space around them, small shields over self, invisibility & camouflage, and one other individual).  They cannot use magic to attack others (but they can manipulate small areas to contain them).
- They cannot live long outside "the World Between" (the realm in the Rift), measured no more than a month or so

Other than that, you're free to pick or make your characters!  We have plenty of time before we set a start date.

I used to play a little percussion, keyboard, & acoustic guitar, but it was all during classes that were moving too quickly and I could never catch up, so I was discouraged from doing it again.  However, I was in tuned to the rhythm so I had no problems in dancing (about 5 years now).

Maybe, I might get back to playing what I played before, plus a set of panpipes I got as a gift some time back.

I'll wait until after the weekend before I go ahead and send some of these ideas into separate threads.  The ones where we don't have quite enough will be saved for later dates.

The reinforcements caused the sky above the base to swirl into a storm of screaming engines and laser blasts.  Ace was calmly taking the fight to the enemy, eventually allowing his wingmates to disperse into a pair and fight alone.  Joven kept his team together as they swept across the area to snipe on any stray ships of Shadow Squadron...

Another question to ask around.  Is there anyone here that could not be on daily because of work/school/etc?  I don't want to push on too fast and leave anyone behind.

Since we got votes for all of them, I'll add more on each:

Resident Evil:  Atonement = As the course of the story will focus on an Umbrella Corp faction, your characters could be scientists, technicians, soldiers, and intelligence agents of the company, but you are not restricted to Umbrella Corp.  You can play other soldiers, civilians, and scientists for protagonists.  Just no S.T.A.R.S. or other Umbrella Corp (especially Albert Wesker, if using FC's) as allies.  The heroes pretty much established the whole of the company as enemies, and other Umbrella Corp factions would see you as defectors, traitors, and competition.

Talespin = No story to work on as of yet.  You can make not only characters, but also planes from the show and from real life in the 1940's (jets are limited).  One debate I'd mention would be the idea of humans in the story.  I brought this up that despite the fact that all the characters in the series were non-human, there were some indications of humans, such as wanted posters and fairy tales with humans in them.

The Rift = The story basically starts when the Northern Lights appear all over the world in different times, and then a dark red crack appears in the sky and emits a wave of energy over the regions.  When the heroes (& villains) come to, they find themselves in a cold dark mountainous wilderness almost like Balto's world outside Nome.  You can use characters from this list, and we can add more in discussions:

Balto
All Dogs Go to Heaven
Rock-a-Doodle
Thumbelina
We're Back
The Land Before Time
Banjo & Krazy Legs
The Secret of NIMH
Ferngully:  The Last Rainforest
An American Tail
Once Upon A Forest
The Pagemaster

For the OC Rift Fey, think of them as 4-winged Tinker Bell-like fairies.  They are most likely from within the "crack", and they cannot survive long outside their world.  However, they have special powers to hurt, heal, or help those around them, and to protect themselves.

Star Wars:  Fleet Wars = Nothing to add much other than profiles, which I can work on after we get enough votes to put this in a new thread.

G.I.Joe:  Wrath of the Scorpion = We can do FC's, depending what base we put this story on, from three main factions:  UNSO, Cobra (either Pharmaceuticals, Corps, or other), and Scorpion Clan.  Weapons and equipment we start out with will be modern and near-future technology.

Wow.  8 votes and we're in a few ties!  If we get enough in each, we could start off more than one of these.

This time, I'm looking if anyone's interested in any of these ideas:

Resident Evil:  Atonement = Here, the story focuses on a group of rogue members of Umbrella Corporation setting out to prevent the destruction of humanity and cleanse out the corrupt bureaucrats that are trying to capitalize on the crisis.  We can discuss when and where the setting could take place.

Talespin = General world of Disney's Talespin, FC's & OC's.

The Rift = An adventure story featuring many characters from Don Bluth & Universal Studios films, thrust into a dimensional warp sparked by a "crack" in the sky.  Mostly FC's, but we can make OC's of a species called "Rift Fey" (backstory coming later).

Star Wars:  Fleet Wars = Set during the war between the Empire and the Rebel Alliance, BUT, focus will be set on the opposing fleets.  Besides some Force-users, our characters can be starship commanders & crew, and plenty of pilots.  We can decide if we can all choose one side or the other, or both.

G.I.Joe:  Wrath of the Scorpion = Similar style, but some changes.  G.I.Joe itself would be renamed United Nations Special Operations, to allow non-American heroes in the story.  Plus, a third rival faction will rise to destroy Cobra and conquer the world.  We can decide what series we can base it on.

Just then, a voice came on the receiver.  "Rouge Leader to Star Fox.  We're coming in to assist you..."

The voice was quickly followed by the screaming of engines as a group of six Arwings buzzed by above the fight.

Rouge Leader, callsign for veteran pilot Ace Renderson, turned his plane in a descending arc.  "Looks like our buddies need a paw," he radioed to his flight.  "Split into two of three and sweep the area clean.  Rouge 1, you take lead on flight 2."

"Copy that, Rouge Leader," Ace's wingmate, young Joven Hawke, replied.  "Rouge 4 & 6, stick with me, and let's show what we're made of!"

The group split into two teams and dove in on the melee, homing in on ships of Shadow Squadron...

At the same time, Not, Desoto, & Roscoe appeared next to their Lady Mistress, they being her escort of course.  Charlie, Kura, & Shirigume stiffened by the sight of the one who owned the bathhouse they resided in.  Roscoe gave a Shirigume a smirk, but frowned when he met the gaze of the kirin, a more powerful kind of spirit than what he could easily take on, though the favor would simply be with Zira herself.  Kura was the only one of the three who remained armed, but decided to wait and see the twist unfold before them...

Other Details: Calls all superiors "Sir", calls rookies "Pup", calls equals "teammate".

I know Joven's a dedicated pilot, so I can have him and a flight of Arwings make a surprise visit to help Falco & Slippy.

I don't have any other characters, but I could make at least one more before I jump back in.

So where's the setting for the story?

And can I create a human-founded church organization dedicated to protecting good werewolves?

Plus, what's the profile sheet for the characters?

Ah OK.  I already have ideas of a couple of humans that run a church sanctuary & armory:  A head nun, a priest/mechanic, and an old weaponsmith of holy weapons.  No ideas of any werewolves yet.
