Here's one of Petrie's siblings...

I really need to get a tablet for these... maybe a wacom tablet... do the linework and color it using another program... maybe GIMP... although that's really for editing... hmm... MS paint only gets me so far... paint shop pro maybe...

These are free hand, using a model, done on MS paint. Each of them is taken directly from a movie clip.

I'm planning on getting a wacom tablet to finally solve my problem with the lines, and from there, it is only a matter of practice and experience before color, shading, and texture are all improved.

Hello:
It is always good to make one step at a time and, as you said, it will only be a matter pf practice. And there are very nice tutorial out there for every step you'll make for your drawings (colouring, shading, backgrounds, etc).
So, keep it up!

Of course, I suspect that most people who make Land Before Time pics use a model of the characters...

Here is it again, in smaller size. It looks better this way. I can't wait to get my tablet; i'll finally slay the beast of bad linework with it. That, and practice.

Another one, of Tria:

They're ALL WIP until I get better at drawing. I can't rush that. Still, when I get a tablet and learn how to use it well, I should see a sudden spike in quality. There's no replacement for experience, though.

Most of Tria's body was made without the direct use of a model. Areas that were based off of a model are of higher quality, although the level of quality seen in the non-model areas is far higher for me now than it would've been a week ago.

Gah! I think I gotta slow down or something. How many have I made in just two weeks? Anyway, here is about 67 minutes worth of drawing on paint.net, without a tablet. Littlefoot and Ali.

Here's the second version of it, using layers and gradients:

This next one isn't exactly ART per se, but it is a parody. I was getting tired of just making those posters, so I added some word and thought balloons.

How could I forget this? Another first draft. They'll ALL be first drafts, of a sort, until I think they are good enough.

I've got a new one, but it is sorta questionable. I won't link or show it here. Just go to my gallery and find it. It should be very easy to find. It isn't sexually oriented or filled with curses, but it does have pterodactyl parts scattered all over. It is rated mature there for safety.

This one was a semi-successful attempt. Good colors and decent linework, bad use of perspective. I'll remake it in a more reasonable pic. And yes, this is an attempt at fanservice for the Pterano fangirls. It fails. XD Next one will be better. I can do close-up images well, though.

I seem to have a reputation for motivational posters; that thread gets all the attention!

In any case, even with the spotlight diverted from this page, I still like to show what I can do here, now that I have a tablet.

Here's an expanded version of my very first tablet piece, a close-up of Red Claw's scarred eye after eating the fruit from the TV episode "The Hidden Canyon."
