After this ship landed back at base, two technicians got to talking about the fact that it survived.

Technician 1: "You know what we should do next time, right?"
Technician 2: "Strengthen the parts that got damaged?"
Technician 1: "No, we should strengthen the parts that didn't!"
Technician 2: "Why do you figure?"
Technician 1: "Well, this plane proves that the parts that got damaged this time are already strong enough to keep the plane flying. The planes that got hit in other places never returned, so those parts must be strengthened!"

Co Pilot: Well Jimmy's plane was hit in the heavily by flak during the last mission it opened part of the plane up like a can opener.

Well I was joking with writing a story about the plane, at least.

But yeah, it'll certainly be an ambitious goal. As for what compelled me, I'm not really sure. It just looked like it'd be a fun challenge, I guess.

Prompts this year are very fun and easy for entrants to get into even if they never wrote before.
