Question objective:
What songs make you happy?
While it doesn't help to take my low periods/moods away from me, it helps to focus on something else for a while.  Unfortuantely the last one (Magic Dance) I've listened to a wee bit more constantly than could be considered normal but whatever. :D
Mine are:
*Circle of Life
*This is where I belong (It's from Spirit)
*No one has to be alone
*Dance Magic Dance/Magic Dance
Magic Dance

Songs that cheer me up are a lot of church hymnals and other ones like:
I can go the Distance from Disney's Hercules
Listen to your Heart
So Kiss Me
Love Will Find a Way from The Lion King 2
Bestest Friends from The Land Before Time X: The Great Longneck Migration
And a few others.

I agree with go the distance although that is more of a 'pep' talk song for me.

Listen to your heart is the third single issued in the United States from the Swedish pop due Roxette in the 1988 album Look Sharp. It isn't from a movie or show. Here is the song if you want to hear it. It isn't very lively, but the words really hit me a good way.

Let's see... some of these are just instrumentals that have no lyrics.

"Hello Zepp" from Saw series.
The Halloween theme
The end credits theme from Friday the 13th Part 7
The Child's Play credits theme (Horror movies make me smile
 :DD  :lol )

Non-movie songs (many, so I'll list a few):

*Another One Bites the Dust by Queen
*Let's Groove by Wind and Fire
*Raise Your Glass by Pink
*Just Dance by Lady GaGa
*Most of Disturbed's songs
*Hard by Rihanna
*Speed of Sound by Coldplay
*Rapture by Blondie
*Glitter In the Air by Pink
*Dreams by the Cranberries (Makes me wanna go to where most of my ancestors came from :smile)
*Hollaback Girl by Gwen Stefani
*Hot N Cold by Katy Perry
*New Noise by Refused
*Whiplash by Metallica

And many more :lol.

Movie songs:

*He Lives In You from TLK II
*Not One of Us from TLK II (Seriously, I LOVE the vocals and music!  I wish I was in that choir.  Ladysmith Black Mambazo did the LBT TV series intro theme, BTW.)
*Beauty and the Beast from Beauty and the Beast
*A Whole New World from Aladdin
*The Best of Friends from The Fox and the Hound
*Always There from LBT V

And probably some others I haven't thought of yet :p.

Oh, geez, now there's a broad question for me. If i had to go with a song that always cheered me up, though, I'd be "Wunderkind" by Alanis Morissette.

Peaceful Valley from LBT 2

Any song by Sunday's Best. In my opinion, these guys made some of the best songs ever. Just listen to this
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZTFI_MtMX3w&feature=related     It's too bad they weren't well known.
