No. I'd say English was maybe even little easier because I use it so much nowadays. It's become like a primary language at this point.

Lemi is unilingually meaning they don't speak English only Finnish.

Does that mean they wouldn't understand me if I spoke to them in my native of English?

I don't know what gave you that idea, but for sure there are people around the country that speak English very well. Youth are more likely to know it better than the older generation.
