I've noticed that most people either like coffee or tea. Not many like both or neither. Which do you like?
-
I don't usually drink either but if I had to choose I'd go with tea.
-
I personally can't stand tea. It makes me want to hurl just smelling it. I've tried so many kinds too. As for coffee, I don't love it or anything and I don't typically drink it 'cuz it's expensive but I can drink it and it's fine for a normal beverage.
FYI, I voted for Coffee. :p
-
I can take both, but it's usually coffe in the morning and tea in the evening.
Are there any evil ambitions with this poll, or is it just plain random? :lol
-

Like I'd tell you even if there were. :lol
-
I'm neither. My mates think I'm nuts for trying to survive college without drinking coffee.
-
I prefer tea. Coffee's too bitter for me :x
-
We have too many Britz around here. :p :lol
-
Gotta have my coffee or I'm a grouch. Tea is like unleaded gasoline...I run on the leaded stuff. :p
-
I use to drink tea, mainly green tea and was sampling some other herbal teas. The way things are now I avoid all that and drink only water.
-
Neither for me. Can't stand coffee, and something about tea doesn't sit well with me. My caffeine fix comes from large amounts of Barqs root beer :DD
-
Tea, grew up on it. Though I could drink coffee if that was the only thing offered :p I think I had coffee when I was 10 once.
-
My grandpa almost destroyed my liking for coffee as a child. When I was 3 years old, he made me taste his super strong "grows hair on your chest" black coffee mix. God, I can't stand it now! It must have been TERRIBLE when I was 3.
But he also made me smell under his armpit before I knew that's where the bad smells came from. Shows you what sort of guy he was eh? :lol
-
I prefer Tea but I usually have a cup of Hot Chocolate in the morning and evening.
-
Tea only (preferably Green). Coffee is far too bitter.
-
I used to hate the taste of coffee (way to bitter), but when during a particularly hard morning at school a teacher was suddenly laughing at me (in a kind and understanding manner) telling me that she had never seen such a struggle against eyelids before (I had ultimately lost, which was the moment when she started laughing) I started drinking one cup in the morning to prevent such extreme eye lid struggles ;)
By now I like the taste of coffee very much, but I hardly ever drink more than one big cup in the morning.
-
Coffee? COFFEE?! COFFEEEE! :lol
Coffee blows tea out of the water in my book. I make my coffee strong (four tablespoons of grounds with two cups of water, or whatever the coffee pot measurement is) and add about four tablespoons of flavored liquid creamer. Boy does that stuff make me a spaz :lol!
My other source of caffeine is soda pop. Mountain Dew is my favorite, Pepsi pulling in a close second :D.
-
tea. definitely. i once tried coffee and i really expected it to be bitter, but it wasn't...rather tasted like an oaks bark (please don't ask me why i know how an oak tastes like).
well tea, yeah, the black one - earl gray, not for the stuff in it, which is similar to coffein, which doesn't have any effect on me. also like green and white tea and marzipan tea. only the gods know how they make it, but it's great.
drink a Darjeeling sometimes, but only with lots of sugar (oh, what a barbarian i am).
tried an Oolong once, but failed somehow and made it taste like my carpet (again, don't ask...)
and a tip for the eyelid fighters: put matches vertically in yer eyes. on in each. ;)
-
Anything with carbonation and/or caffeine in it isn't for me. I choose tea.
-
I'm drinking tea right now. Wonderful stuff.
-
I prefer tea myself. It's better for you anyway.
-
I prefer tea, though I seldom drink hot tea. I do drink iced tea regularly though.
-
Dang. It seems the majority here by far like tea as opposed to coffee. I guess I'm in the minority. :p
-
Neither, and this has to do with religion rather.
Being LDS, it is against commandments to drink anything caffeinated. It has to do with the book called "The Doctrine and Covenants". (Or D&C as it is often mentioned.) Think of it as a book written by prophets from the 1800's to the early 1900's, holding their valuable lessons on the Gospel.
Anyways, within D&C it depicts several things we are not meant to consume, one of which is "hot drinks". At the time this meant tea and coffee, which were the only things caffeinated at the time.
So basically, because of religious reasons, I don't drink either. Never have and never will. :)
-
This would include Coke and most other soft-drinks as well, doesn't it? In spite of that cup of coffee in the morning it is above all other milk to me. I'm a positive milk junkie with water and orange juice taking the second and third place (in fact I may be drinking more water than milk, but that's mostly for the easy availability at any time).
-
Hard to believe coffee is losing. :o :o :wow How do you people stay awake during the day?
-
Hard to believe coffee is losing. ohmy.gif ohmy.gif dino_wow.gif How do you people stay awake during the day?
It's easy. Just get used to living without that little caffeine boost every day and your body will adjust. I personally only drink it when I'm doing all-nighter after all-nighter. I've learned that drinking it all the time makes you dependent on it and that's not a place I want to be. :p
-
Hard to believe coffee is losing. :o :o :wow How do you people stay awake during the day?
Easy...I'm high on life! :D Not that that's going very far at the moment having said that :DD
-
Tea. No further comments. :D
-

To be honest, I take naps. However, I make sure to do so at certain times of the day. A quick little power nap always helps me. :)

Hard to believe coffee is losing. How do you people stay awake during the day?
It's easy, just drink a lot of tea, or soda. And I usually sleep most of the day anyway. :p
-
I usually sleep most of the day anyway.
I want your life. :p
-
I sleep enough, if I dont I'm just sleepy the whole day. I mean who cares :p If I think it works I'd probably get some energy drink or something in that direction.
-
I want your life.
I actually don't like sleeping in so late. All of my writer's group activities take place before I get up and my sister usually beats me to the computer.
-

MODERATION is the key ;). I have no reservations against coffee. It is not a mind-altering substance (like pot) when consumed in MODERATION; otherwise the stuff makes ya a raging livewire, has recently been shown to have health benefits if taken in MODERATION, and actually helps ya concentrate better on tests if taken in MODERATION and just before and/or during the test (if you're allowed to have drinks in class). My point is, caffeine in moderation will not hurt anyone.
-
COFFEE all the way! I always have at least 1 in the morning and 1 later on in the day.
And I don't actually really drink coffee to stay awake. I drink it because, well it tastes good in the morning :p
-
Mmmm, tea!
Good all of the time. Especially when sick. Which I am :(
My mom keeps asking me if I've started drinking coffee yet, and each time I say 'no' she replies 'Good. Don't.' And my dad says he's trying to wean himself off of coffee... So I generally stay away from the stuff :lol Plus I had it once and wasn't fond of the taste, anyways.
-

Hope ya get better soon :yes
-
Thank you! Fortunately this week isn't too hectic, so I've been able to bundle up and get plenty of rest :D

I can agree with that! :yes For the last 2 1/2 years I've been pulling all nighters to finish my college work...and I gotta say...coffee is the best thing at 7:30 when you're running on only 3 hours of sleep. :smile

*raises hand* I like both. :Mo
It's hard to say which one I like better, as I like them both for different reasons.
-
Tea.
-
Coincidentally, it wasn't until after I came up with my "Coffee or tea" question for the Ask Me threads that I found this topic here. :Mo
-
And I found it because of you. :p
-
Eh, neither. I haven't tried coffee (probably won't plan to) and tea is something I've even barely drank before. I'll say tea is slightly better than water in terms of taste, but then again I haven't tried many kinds of tea.
I shall give my thanks to @StardustSoldier as well for finding this thread. :)
-
Tea! Hands down even though i'm allergic to caffeine !
-

Haha, you're very welcome. That seems to be a recurring theme for me lately.
-
I'm definitely a coffee guy. I really miss Dunkin' Donuts hazelnut, though.
-
Coffee
-
Coffee. Though I do drink herbal tea from time to time.
-
don't drink coffee at all.
So - tea.
-
Both. I like a good cup of coffee (creamer) and nice cup of hot green tea.
-
I got a coffee maker for Christmas, so I'm pretty delighted with that. :DD
-
I am a convert. I drank coffee for many years, but now I can’t. I switched to tea and am happier. :)
-
I've begun to drink more tea lately, so my mind is undecided about which one I'd prefer over the other. They both have their good/bad qualities, but coffee is the one my stomach will be mostly upset with.

Same here, coffee gives me heart palpitations and stomach discomfort. That is why I’ve switched to Tea. I especially like black and green teas.
-
Anyone who knows me pretty much knows that I can drink more than 5 mugs of coffee a day. Definitely coffee for me. Caffeine lovely. :DD

*Sigh* I miss when I could do that.

That is a lot of coffee indeed. O_o
I still like both, although as of lately I've been drinking tea more and coffee less.
-
That said, I could use a pick-me-up today, and so I'm going to make myself a hot mug of coffee here shortly.
:PAli :PCera
-
I have returned to my Coffee mistress. Americano. Mhmm good.
-
Now it's no longer just a battle between coffee and tea. It's become a battle between Great Valley Coffee and Great Valley Tea!
:bestsharptooth :olittlefoot :taunttroll
-
I greatly enjoy both, but it is mainly coffee for me.
-
Depends, I drink chai pretty much everyday but I do enjoy a cup of coffee every now and then. So I guess I’d say tea for me.
-
I basically haven't drank either of them. I know for a fact that I hate coffee but never really tried tea. I generally just stick to water as it's nice and cheap. Might have the occasional glass of orange juice though.
-
I really like both of them especially during the winter tough I had a really bad experience with peppermint tea years ago. It was when I was visiting my grandparents. My grandma asked me to make some tea for us, while she was setting the table in her dining room. She always makes tea with self dried peppermint leaves and I thought I could do the same easily. How wrong I was! So I put the leafs in a tea cup with water in it, but I didn't notice that the water wasn't hot enough. (I'm still thinking that it would had been hot enough if I would have used a tea bag instead of leafs.) So it didn't work so well. In the end I only drank hot water with some leafs in it instead of tea.
I hope Spike will be luckier with making his Great Valley tea then I was back then!
And I have to add that I really wouldn't mind to try some Great Valley coffee if it is as good as the dinosaurs of the great valley think it is!
It's become a battle between Great Valley Coffee and Great Valley Tea!
Do you think that we will need the permission of a certain fanfic writer before we can call it "the battle before time"?
-
^Well that's unfortunate. Although peppermint tea is one of the best flavours, imo. If you ever get another chance to try it sometime, I highly recommend it.

I'll guess we'll just have to ask him. Let's find out! :taunttroll
@The Mr E
-
Personally, I despise both.
I tend to only drink water and milk; root beer if I happen to eat pizza.
-
@StardustSoldier You have my permission! Though I can enjoy coffee, I drink it rarely. Besides, it has zero energy-inducing effect on me (last I checked). I prefer tea: no particular favourite, although Chai tea and Nettle tea with milk are pretty high on my list.
-
I've been off this site for nearly 3 years now, so now that I have returned, this is my answer.
I don't really like coffee, to be honest. I largely prefer tea, especially ginger tea. For me, tea is one of humanity's greatest drinks.
-
Tea, coffee use to be my favorite but it bothers me these days.
-
There was a time when I was more partial to tea, but lately I've been switching back to coffee. Although I still like both.
-
I'm neither. My mates think I'm nuts for trying to survive college without drinking coffee.
Still neither! Seven years out of college, and I only drink water and milk :D
-
tea all the way. I've tried coffee multiple times and I just can't stand the taste :petrienotamused at least with tea, you can have it with something like some biscuits.
-
Coffee’s good with coffee cake :bronGoodJob I can’t handle tea, the taste just doesn’t sit well with me.
-
I'm enjoying another mug of coffee right as I speak! :D
-
Coffee!
-
Need em both but If I had to pick, I'd say tea! Earl Grey with a lemon and some honey, that's the shit right there.
-
Tea any day. I've tried coffee a few times but it's just not for me.
-

I love both, it depends on what I’m in the mood for. Coffee when I just wanna wake up and get stuff done, and there are many different types of teas I drink for different purposes. I find that many teas have anti-anxiety properties so I drink those when my anxiety is acting up and I don’t have my medication handy. Ginger tea is also really good for inflammation.
-
I like both, tea- I like most of normal kinds, coffee- I like Ice coffee, just half an hour ago I drank Mr brown Ice coffee in can.
-
Ohh I love ice coffee!
-
I gotta say both, depends what I prefer through the day and what would benefit me. Coffee makes my brain function better and sharper while being in a better mood. Tea in the other hand has a variety of tastes that I like and health benefits (if you of course limit how much sugar you add). My favorite coffee variants are Caffè Latte and Caffè Mocha, and favorite tea types are cinnamon tea and cardamom tea mixed with milk.
-
I’ve been enjoying the Carmel Brulee Latte at Starbucks.
-
I only ever had tea once in a wedding. Spoiled tea for me for 15 years and I still will go out of my way to not drink it.
-
^Yikes! :o
For a long time I leaned more towards coffee, but lately I have been taking a break from it. Currently on Day 3 of my coffee fast...
-
I am actually contemplating buying some light tea for studying, since it's better for you.
-
Yeah, I have heard about the health benefits of tea before. Hmmmm, if I'm taking a break from coffee right now, perhaps I can start drinking more tea instead. :)
