Title: What are your favorite mystery series?

(This can apply to book, movie, tv show, etc..)

Mysteries have always been one of my favorite types of stories. I always enjoy a good whodunit or, the not as common but still good howdunit (We know it is, but they usually have a good alibi.)

My personal favorites are the tv shows Monk and Psych, and the anime/magna Detective Conan/Case Closed (Which I already made a topic about.)

So, what about you guys?

Most of my favorite mystery shows include Miss Marple, Inspector Lewis, Murder She Wrote, and any Sherlock Holmes films and series.  Monk and Psych aren't bad, but they tend to be a little weird to me at times.  I have quite a few mystery books, but I can't remember most of the authors at this time.

I don't remember any other mystery-focused series I really love, but 6teen episode "The List" had a mystery B-plot I really liked ;)
