Title: Redwall 1999-2001 TV Series
Post by: Enchanted-Valley96 on April 14, 2020, 04:30:26 PM
I know there is a small thread on the Redwall books but this is one I want to make on the TV Series that aired from 1999 until 2001.

It aired on PBS Kids in the United States, Teletoon in Canada and Channel 5 in the United Kingdom.

@Sneak Have you ever seen it in English at all?

It shows that a lot of the Canadians in the voice cast can do a great English accent.

I watched many movies and cartoons in English in last years, big and short. (LBT14, for example, since it doesn't have official translation)

I am not familiar with any world accents.

as for Redwall TV series, I honestly think books are better in many terms, though I must say atmosphere and visuals in cartoon series are very good!

i actually run a redwall roleplaying site - beyond redwall. Link to it is below

as for the tv series they covered the first book, mattimeo and martin the Warrior. roses death in the book is verey different from the tv show. in the book Badrang kills her by throwing her against the fortress walls. in the tv series he runs her through with his sword, all though her actual death is offscreen. there was plenty of material for more seasons. mossflower would have been a good followup.

I respect kids channels for airing something more adult though.
