Alrigh, first RPG I start in this forum. Let me explain...
This RPG is based on my Land Before Time fanfiction, Land Before Time: Battle Network. Basically MegaMan Battle Network but replacing all MegaMan characters with Land Before Time characters as the NetNavis, including all new original characters as the Net Ops.
Before I start the rules, let me make this clear. TO JOIN YOU MUST AT LEAST HAVE SOME BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF MEGAMAN BATTLE NETWORK. THE ANIME WORKS WELL TOO BUT TRY WIKIPEDIA IF YOU NEED TO LEARN MORE ABOUT IT. AT LEAST KNOW THE USE OF PETs, THE NETNAVIS, USE OF BATTLE CHIPS, THE BASICS STUFF.
RPG Rules:
1) Everyone must have a PET and a NetNavi of their own. The NetNavi MUST be dinosaur related.
2) NetNavis can be related to JUST ONE o fthe basic elements: Fire, Elec, Wood and Aqua.
3) NetNavis are only permitted to be of the Leaf-Eater Generation (Herbivores). Sharptooth Generation (Carnivores) NetNavis are only available to Official Net Ops or bad guys.
4) While Sharptooth Generation NetNavis are only allowed to Officials and bad guys, roleplayers with personal connections with PET/NetNavi scientists and Officials can have their own Sharptooth Generation NetNavis.
5) All NetNavis are considered equal in strength alone, they can only be stronger than their opponent NetNavi with the aid of battle chips and their bond with the NetOp.
6) All battle chips are usable once when plugged into the net or Netbattle. The ONLY way to recharge them to be usable again is to jack out your NetNavi back into the PET and use a Battle Chip Recharger, very easy to find.
7) You are allowed to use Littlefoot, Cera, Petrie, Ducky, Spike, Chomper, ANY Land Before Time character as your NetNavi.
8) Just like the MegaMan Battle Network games, Program Advances can be done in combination of three certain chips in a certain order.
9) Try to stay true to the MegaMan Battle Network universe. In other words weapons can only be obtained by battle chips, but some NetNavis tend to have busters as default weapons. Sharptooth Generation NetNavis can use their claws as weapons as well but not busters.
9) Due to the need of a plot and story, I will make the bad guys and create havoc and viruses in the net, it's up to us to tackle the dangers and stop them.
IMPORTANT: I will monitor this RPG, your created NetNavi, Net Op, and battle chips you'll find and acquire. I WILL NOT tolerate such events as you obtaining and using an extremely rare and powerful battle chip out of nowhere, god-mod in a NetBattle and have ridiculous connections with scientists and Officials. Like I said, I will monitor this RPG.
Character Rules:
1) Only one NetOp and NetNavi. NetNavis are prefered to be dinosaur models, but it's optional.
2) He/She can have some personal connections to a scientist or Official of SciLab, but I will determine whether or not it's acceptable.
3) Character can only have 10 battle chips MAX. You can choose 5 battle chips to start with from a list below.
4) We'll need Officials so you are free to be an Official, but only a MAX of 3 RPGers can be Officials.
CHOOSE WHICH BATTLE CHIPS TO START WITH (ONLY 5 AND ONLY 1 ELEMENT BASED CHIP.)
1. Cannon - Transforms arm of choice into an ordinary cannon with a firing range of 1 shot per second. Limited ammo
2) Mini Bomb - Small bomb you can hold in your hand, throw it and watch it blow up. Explodes on contact
3) Area Steal - Teleports NetNavi from one spot to another on a short distance.
4) Cyber Sword - Transforms arm of choice into a sword. Short range but very damaging.
5) Wide Sword - Same as Cyber Sword but has a much wider striking range.
6) Long Sword - Same as Cyber Sword but has a much longer striking range.
7) Tree Star - Reference of the LBT famous green food. Recovers 50% of NetNavi's damage.
8) Fire Water - Reference of what the LBT gang call the lava. Explodes sorrounding area with lava, heavy damage. Aqua element.
9) Shiny Wall - Reference of LBT name. A block of ice protects the NetNavi from 1 attack. If attack is Aqua based it freezes the attack and throws it back at attacker.
10) Bubbly Good - Reference of what the LBT gang call the mud. Shoots a blotch of mud with Blind status effect if connects. Aqua element.
11) Earth Shake - Reference of what the LBT gang call the earthquake. Shakes the ground with powerful spikes erupting from the earth's crust. Wood element.
12) Elec Ring - Shoots a ring with electricity at the speed of light, impossible to dodge. Elec element.
13) Barrier - Protects NetNavi from 1 attack.
14) Mega Fist - Transforms hand of choice into a huge fist, causing heavy damage if it connects.
15) FlameBreath - BREATHES FIRE FROM MOUTH AND DO DAMAGE. (Dark Chip.)
WARNING: DARK CHIPS, WHILE INCREDIBLY POWERFUL, ARE KNOWN TO CORRUPT AND TURN YOUR NETNAVI EVIL. RECOMMENDED TO KEEP FROM USING THEM.
I know some of you might think "This is too much!" but it's not, once you learn the ropes it's pretty simple. =D
Now to introduce my character and his NetNavi
Name: Kaden
Age: 15
Personality: Care-free, good willed, procrastinator
Description: Hair of a dark-brown color, neatly combed back with a short ponytail on the back of his head. Wears a pair of long black jeans; a short sleeved red shirt with a black backside, under that shirt dons a long sleeved gray undershirt.
NetNavi name: Rex
Personality: Determined, upbeat attitude, persistent
Description: blue-green color and light-blue color from his chest, where a crest of a RX mark is, down to his stomach and down between his legs to the underside of his tail, he also has a pair of wings. Dark blue oval shaped shoulder pads, razor-sharp looking claws on both hands and feet and quite nice looking dark blue eyes. Muzzle is squared-off and a black scar snaking over his right eye. A kneepad on his left leg and from his knees down it looks like he’s wearing a pair of bulky boots, but at his ankle the ëboots’ are cut down into a strap that goes down between his heel and feet around the soles of his foot, letting his four toes with razor-sharp talons stand out.

Personality: Determined, intelligent, tough
Description: Thick, dark red hair, thinned and layered on the sides, parted down the middle. Wears a labcoat with no shirt underneath, blue jeans and Tevas. Has green eyes and stubble. A scientist with a sharptooth generation official Net Navi.
NetNavi name: Also named Tanner (owner overwritted the name of the original Net Navi with his)
Personality: Reprogrammed to have the same attitude as the owner.
Description: Is an Alimon model Sharptoth generation. Has red skin withh green stripes and a beige underside. Skin tight beige chest plating and an insignia with the letters "TN" and three diagonal slash marks. Has green gloves with a crest of brown near the elbow. Red shoulder pads with three dark green spikes and a thick, gren border. Light green boots with dark geen knee pads with a short spike that makes up the entire pad with a red border. Hand and foot claws are black and eyes are green.
Mega Cannon - Powered up x3 version of Cannon
Tree Star - Recovers 50% NetNavi damage
Alimon Claws - Longer, wider and stronger than Cyber Claws
Rock Slide - Chuck boulders to opponent. Wood element
Alimon Rage - Fuels NetNavi with the rage of an alimon, increases strength and speed tenfolds for 5 seconds
Air Shoes - Allow higher jumps and faster runs than usual for 15 seconds

(Well, I guess I'll start the RPG now. Anyone is welcomed to join!)
"Aw man!" Kaden groans as he slumps on his bench at the park in front of SciLab, dropping the paper he was holding onto his lap. It was his third test of his first year in 9th grade, and sadly he barely passed with a C-. His mother is gonna kill him!
"Gee, what happened to you, Kaden?" Rex, his NetNavi, inquires.
Kaden sighs as he takes out his PET, looking at his NetNavi partner. "I guess because we both got carried away exploring the Garden Net City, Great Valley Square."
"Wait a minute," Rex's eyes widen. "You told me you would study while I did my own exploring. Don't tell me you..."
Kaden scratched the back of his head with an embarrased smile. "Yeah...Sorry.."
Rex glares at his NetOp as he crosses his arms. "Well serves you right." He soften his glare and turn his head away from Kaden, scratching the back of his own head. "I guess it was my fault as well, should've exited the Square to evade any distractions."
"I guess we both got the fault." Kaden declares with a slight smile. He looks to his right and see a wall with Jack-In Port, perfect to plug Rex in and still be sitting on the bench. "Well, since we're in the weekends, how about some navigation through the net?"
Rex nods. "Alright, but just for a little while. We got to make up for that C-."
Kaden nods with a grin and extends out his PET's Jack-in cable. "Plug in! Rex.EXE! Transmission!"
(Since that's in SciLab, Tanner should be nearby. Let's get this RPG started! :DD )

Tanner exits the SciLab complex with a brown paper bag full of food in one hand, his shift is over and he accidentally spent his lunch hour net battling a few passers by. He goes into the park and looks for a good spot to have his late lunch. He finds a picnic table to sit at, sets the bag down, takes out the contents and sets them on the table. A ham and cheese sandwich, an apple, a chocolate bar, potato chips, carrots and a thermos full of chicken noodle soup. "Geez, you ARE a heavy eater." says his alimon net navi official counterpart. Tanner takes out his PET and sets it down on the table, "Well, of course I am. I'm still a growing boy." he says as he takes his ham and cheese sandwich and takes a bite out of it. He takes the lid off the thermos full of soup, pours it into the cup and takes a sip. "Why don't you ever use a dark chip on me for once? They're strong and can delete the opposing net navi in one hit." says the Tanner navi. The human Tanner glares at the Navi Tanner.
"We went through this already. Dark battle chips make you stronger, but you could become infected with a virus that will corrupt your programming. I can't risk it." he says with a serious tone.
"Okay, okay. Fine." says the red and green alimon.

A Compsognathus virus screeches as it charges. Rex jumps back to avoid the virus' lunge and throws a kick at it, his sharp talons striking the virus' lower jaw and slashing it open, deleting it. Rex looks over his shoulderpad and spots three of them charging at him. Rex jumps and does a backflip, the viruses running under him and Rex landing behind them.
"Buster shot!" Rex cries out as he extends out his left arm and changes to a buster cannon, aiming well and shooting at the viruses. One shot each and deleted.
"Awesome, Rex!" Kaden cheers his NetNavi from the real world through the PET.
Rex looks to his right and spots two Velociraptor viruses charging at him. Aiming well, he shoots at them, but their speed is great and they easily dodge the shots. Rex's eyes narrow slightly and changes his left arm to normal, "Cyber Claw!" His Navi Customization Program, Chip Memory, activates and the claws of his left hand grow longer and sharper. The Velociraptor viruses jump for the bite, but with a quick swing of Rex's left arm he slices through them all and delete them.
"Yeah!" Rex grins as he stands back up.
Kaden smirks, "Awesome, Rex! That's about the 20th virus we've found and not even a scratch!" Kaden looks at his five Battle Chips and grin, "We haven't even used one of our Battle Chips!"
"Not even a Style Change." Rex adds.
"I guess nothing can take us down!" Kaden practically shouts.
Rex chuckles, "You're getting excited Kaden, keep your voice down. Practically the whole park heard you."

Personality: Usually silent, easy loses control of her temper, prejudistic against leaf-eater generations, has a different sense of justice than other officials, somewhat aloof, stubborn, inflexible
Description: Part of the higher authority, daughter of an officer, wears a dark blue suit with dark blue hat, wears a necklace on one wrist, a watch on the other, hair is black, eyes are dark brown, has a scar across her face, from between her eyes, across her right eye (still functioning), down her cheek, and stops at her jaw
NetNavi name: Grayscale
Personality: Nearly inflexible, stubborn, prejudistic against leaf-eater generations, somewhat aloof, believes what she is doing is right, has a very different yet very strong sense of justice

Tanner turns his head after hearing what Kaden shouted out. He puts his food back in the lunch bag, grabs his PET and walks over to where Kaden was. "Hey there. What's got you so excited?" Tanner says with a friendly tone in his voice.

"Eh?" Kaden turns his head and sees a tall, red haired man, probably a scientist from SciLab. "I...Uhh...Umm..." He stammers, a bit embarrased.
"Heheh, told ya not to get carried away." Rex's voice chuckled through Kaden's PET as the Navi shot at another incoming virus, deleting it.

"Allow me to introduce myself. The name's Tanner. I'm the youngest scientist in SciLab. I help design new battle chips and beta test them." says Tanner.

"A Battle Chip designer, huh!?" Kaden inquires rather excitedly. "That sounds awesome! I'm Kaden. And this is my NetNavi, Rex." He tilts his PET to Tanner to allow him to see the PET screen so he can introduce his NetNavi to Tanner...But, the NetNavi just got found by another virus and he is busy deleting the virus.
"Erm, a bit busy here, Kaden!" Rex replies as he jumps over a Velociraptor virus. Rex flexes his Cyber Claw-induced claws and slash the virus in two, deleting it. This NetNavi clearly has some skills in Virus Busting and Net Battling.

"Looks like your navi need a little help." says Tanner as he takes out his PET and jacks in, "Plug in Tanner.EXE!" A deinonychus virus approaches Rex and lunges at him. The alimon net navi Tanner shows up just in time, "Alimon Claws!" the Tanner navi yells. His claws grow longer and wider that Rex's cyber claw and slices into the oncoming raptor's belly, deleting it in one hit.

"Huh?" Rex turns around only to see a virus cut in half and dissapearing, revealing a red NetNavi in the shape of an Alimon.
"Whoa! An Alimon NetNavi!?" Kaden exclaims.
Rex shrugs, "Well he is a SciLab scientist." Rex scans the Alimon's body, admiring the spiky shoulderpads and the chestplate armor. "Not a bad look. I'm Rex."

"I'm Tanner. Thanks." says the red and green alimon.

"Wow, an Alimon NetNavi..." Kaden was in awe, this would be his second time seeing an Alimon type NetNavi, and he actually knows his NetOp. Kaden grins as he gets an idea. He turns his head to Tanner, "Say, how about a Net Battle!?"
Suddenly, an alarm goes off in SciLab. Kaden stands up at the sound as the blaring of the alarm echoes throughout the park. "What the?"
"Kaden!" Rex cries from the PET, "It's the SciLab's Alarm system!"

"Aww crap," says Tanner as he unplugs his Net Navi, "This calls for my undevided attention." he says as he starts for the lab complex. He pauses and turns his head to Kaden, "I'll be back." he says in a sarcastic, macho man voice. He then sprints for the entrance to SciLab.

Kaden flinches. "What the...? Did he just ripped off The Terminator...?"
"Nevermind that, Kaden." Rex calls out through the PET, "He might need our help. Let's go check this emergency out."
"Right." Kaden nods as he jacks Rex out of the cyber world and makes his way to the SciLab entrance. He walks into the lobby and see tourists and scientists scrambling about as if in a rush to some sort of holiday or something, reminds Kaden of the holiday rush.
Kaden doesn't spot Tanner, he's probably in one of SciLab's laboratories getting deeper into the problem. "I hope it's not anything serious..." Kaden comments, "I hope dad is safe."
"Well we can't do anything about this now." Rex implies, "Might as well hang low in the lobby and see if we can discover something about what's going on. Maybe we'll also bump into your dad."
"I hope you're right..."
Little does Kaden know, the mainframe of SciLab is infected with numerous viruses, and seems like Tanner is the only one with the access to the mainframe to take care of them all.

Tanner swipes his ID card to get access to the mainframe. He steps through the door and sees dozens of scientists frantically trying to get a hold of the problem. One scientist seems to be the only sane person there. Tanner walks over to him and asks what the problem is, "So, what's the situation? More viruses?" says Tanner.

"Yessir." The scientist responds as he types commands in to the mainframe, but the computer just doesn't seem to cooperate or even respond. "The system has gone haywire. However, I was able to determine where the viruses are targeting..." The scientist takes a deep breath and looks at Tanner, "They seem to be targeting the mainframe's Battle Chip Machinery..."
Back to Kaden, the NetOp is trying to ask around the scientists running around on what's going on, but everybody seems to overlook him or something.
"Excuse me!" Kaden tries to stop one scientist, but he just gets ignored.
"I'm Dr. Homari's son and I want to..." Another scientist sprints right past him.
"This is ridiculous!" Kaden complains as he takes out his PET to have a face to face conversation with his Navi. "Nobody's paying any attention!"
"Hmmm..." Rex thinks, "Situation must be quite serious then..."
"Well I don't care!" Kaden protests, "If nobody is going to tell me anything then I'm going right to my dad's working area!"
"You can't do that, Kaden!" Rex protests back, "They're not going to let you through."
"Just look at them! They don't even give a second glance at me! I don't think they'll notice me going through!"
"Good point..." Rex responds. He sighs and gives a nod, "Alright, but don't get caught."

"Alright," says Tanner as he takes out his PET, "Lets do this shit," he jacks in his PET, "Plug in Tanner.EXE!"

Viruses are strewn around the MainFrame, some biting and clawing away at the MainFrame grounds while others are invading the Battle Chip area of the MainFrame, some of them dissapearing into a portal-like area, most likely downloading themselves into Battle Chips in the system to corrupt NetNavis who use them.

THE BATTLE CHIP CORRUPTION

Tanner pulls out the plug in cord and his PET and jacks it into the mainframe, "Plug in Tanner.EXE." The alimon Navi Tanner appears on screen, "Tanner, take out the viruses going through that portal, then delete the ones in the Battle Chip area Mainframe. Then pick off the rest of them one by one." the teenage commands.
"Can do." says the red and green alimon, "Alimon claws!" His claws grow long and wide and he starts slashing away at the raptor viruses trying to go throught the portal. "There's too many of them!" he yells as he tried his best, hacking and slashing away at oncoming viruses.

Kaden didn't have too much trouble getting to the second floor of SciLab. Just as he suspected, everyone was too busy with the current situation that the halls of the second floor were completely empty. The problem must be in the first floor.
"Kaden!" Rex cried from the PET. "Are you sure you know where you're going?"
"I think so." Kaden responds. He finds a door labeled CD-203 and opens it, finding himself in his father's office. He looks around and goes to his dad's computer, finding an opened document with a short description of the problem. "The MainFrame?" Kaden mutters.
"Any luck?" Rex inquires.
"Yeah." Kaden nods. "Something about the Mainframe and the Battle Chip Manufacturing Machine."
"That's something." Rex comments, "Maybe we should check that out."
"Yeah." Kaden nods, "With your ID and license, not to mention I don't think we're going to have any problems going around...I hope."
But back in the MainFrame, the viruses are getting deleted one by one, there doesn't seem to be no end to them. And there seems to be a figure in the distance watching the red and green alimon virus bust.
"So we finally meet..." The figure whispers as he watches Tanner delete more viruses.

Tanner fights away the viruses the best he can, but they keep on coming. He isn't sure if he is able to fight them off much longer.

Kaden quickly made his way down the hallway of the second floor, frantically searching for the room he's looking for.
"Slow down, Kaden." Rex comments, "You're going to bypass the door at this speed."
"Not a chance!" Kaden smirks. As he proves it he finds the door and stops in front of it. "This is it..."
"Be careful, Kaden."
Kaden opens the door and finds himself in the Battle Chip Machinery room. A huge machine manufacturing battle chips, numerous of them coming out of the machine's belt and moving toward an opening to another room. Kaden is in awe as he approaches the belt and sees numerous chips on the belt. He picks one up and looks at it. "I don't see anything wrong."
"Try slotting one in." Rex advices. Kaden nods and slots in the battle chip into his PET, and just like that a virus pops up in the PET. It tries to bite at Rex but the NetNavi shoots at it with his buster, deleting it. "That solves it," Rex continues, "The viruses are getting into the chips."
"We gotta stop this thing!" Kaden exclaims. "I'm gonna jack you into the system, Rex. You try to find who's doing this and stop them. I'll turn off the machine."
"Roger."
Kaden stretches out the PET's plug-in cable and jacks Rex into the machine, transporting the NetNavi out of the PET and into the system. After doing that Kaden sprints to the machine's control and grabs onto a huge lever, straining to pull it down to get the machine to turn off.
The viruses suddenly grow down in numbers, making Tanner's job more easier. Suddenly however, the viruses spread out as if afraid of something. And from in front of Tanner the figure that was watching him slowly approaches.
"I've heard so much about you, Tanner..." The figure grins. The figure is none other than a Deinonychus type NetNavi from the Sharptooth Generation. A green NetNavi with yellow stripes and spiky shoulderpads and the same chest armor as Tanner's. Bulky boots with kneepads. The Velociraptor Navi grins, "Such an honor to delete you."
This NetNavi and his NetOp, the ones responsible for the battle chip corruption net crime...
NETNAVI: DRONE & NETOP: NETRA

"What the hell??" says the Tanner Navi as Drone approaches him.
"Oh shit." says the Tanner in the real world as he digs around in his pocket for a good battle chip. He pulls out the Mega Cannon battle chip and prepares to insert it.

"Guh...C'mon..." Kaden strains as he pulls hard on the lever, slowly but surely managing to budge the lever down. "C'mon...I gotta turn this off..." It takes a bit of a while but Kaden manages to get the lever to move. The huge lever is lowered to the ground, the machine's hum slowly dying down and coming to a complete halt. Kaden sighs in relief, "That did it..."
"Kaden!"
Kaden takes out his PET and gasps as he sees Rex sorrounded by viruses in the machine's mainframe. "Get away!" Rex cries as he slashes at the viruses, deleting them all, but more shows up. "Dang it!" He cursed as he sees the viruses applying energy, ready to shoot a good one at Rex.
"Area Steal! Battle chip, in!" Kaden cries as he slots in his battle chip, Area Steal. The chip taking effect as Rex is teleported from his spot and to a safe spot, leaving the viruses to release their shot at each other and deleting one another.
"Whew, thanks Kaden." Rex sighs as he floats in the air, his wings keeping him airborne. "I don't see any viruses anymore. You stopped the machine?"
"Yeah." Kaden nods. "So uhhh...What now?"
"Maybe try to find Tanner?" Rex suggests.
"Looks like the pro wants to boogie on down with us!" Netra, Drone's Net Op, comically comments.
"Whatever." Drone spits as his claws grow longer after Netra slows it a Cyber Claw battle chip. "Let's dance." He snarls as he charges in at Tanner at high speed, barely leaving any time to aim at him before Drone was already at Tanner's face and slashing at him.

Tanner doges Drones attack, almost instantly after that, the Tanner NetOp slots in the Mega Cannon battle chip, "Mega Cannon battle chip in!" The Tanner navi's left arm morphs into a buster and charges for a shot. When Drone comes in for another attack, Tanner shoots him in the neck.

Drone charges in for another slash. He spots Tanner aiming and shooting with the Mega Cannon, but Drone is swift. He veers his body to the side and dodges the shot. With a smirk, Drone jumps and sends the Cyber Claws down on Tanner's cannon to destroy it and swing again for Tanner's face.
Rex runs through the mainframe cyberworld trying to locate where the viruses are coming from and where Tanner is. Rex aims and shoots with his buster and deleting viruses in his way.
"This place is enormous." Rex acknowledges. "Where are they coming from?"
"Could be anywhere, be on your toes." Kaden advises.

Tanner's mega Cannon disappears, he looks up just in time to see Drone slash at his face. He quickly dodges the attack, "Alimon Claws!" yells Tanner, his claws grow longer and wider than Drone's cyber claw and he lunges at the green and yellow deinonychus. He doges another attack from him and drives his claws into Drone's shoulder, "Owned, bitch." says the Tanner Navi.
"Alright!" yells the Tanner NetOp, "Kick his sharptooth ass!"

The doors in SciLab were opened again, but not by a frantic teenager, but a calm, collected young adult. The figure didn't make a sound as it brushed passed all the scientists, who were too busy working on the problem at hand. As the figure turned to walk down a hallway, a beeping sound was made. It reached into its pocket and pulled out a small device, a PET.
"What's the situation?" The figure spoke in a feminine voice. "Did you find anything out?"
"I haven't been into the system yet." Answered another female voice rather grumpily. "I need to get into the Mainframe."
"Yes I know," answered the figure, equally annoyed, "But as an Official Navi, what do you know so far about what's going on?"
"Well, Kiraa," the Navi's voice sounded from the device, "There seems to be a viral outbreak on the Mainframe. I overheard one of the scientists say it's targeting the Battle Chip Machinery."
The figure, Kiraa, responded, "Then using Battle Chips would be useless."
"Word," responded the Navi. "Not that I even need chips for this task."
The figure finally arrived where she wanted to be. She hurriedly rushed over to the jack-in device in the Battle Chip Manufacturing Module. She took no notice of the boy who was also in the room with her. She held up her PET and said, "You ready, Grayscale?"
On the screen, the face of a blue, yellow, and purple alimon popped up. "Let's do this." She said dutifully.
"Jack In! Grayscale.EXE!" Kiraa plugged the cord into the machine, and in a matter of a second or two, Grayscale appeared onto the scene.
She took a look around her, noting all the viruses, and smiled. "This is going to be fun."

"Graah!" Drone snarls as Tanner's claws shreds into his shoulder. He growls at the Navi's arrogance, but soon Drone stops growling and smirks, "Oh a sharptooth's ass is going to be kicked alright..."
"Let him have it, Drone!" Drone's Net Op, Netra, commands.
Drone didn't need to be told twice. "Delete, Tanner." With a smirk he impales his claws through Tanner's stomach, smiling evily at Tanner's painfilled expression. And sick of it, he rears his head back and headbutts Tanner, knocking the Alimon Navi away from him and off his claws.
"Huh?" Kaden whispers as he hears someone else entering the room. Lucky he jacked in behind the machine, keeping himself hidden from the new person in the room. Kaden gulps as he hears the person jacking in his...errm, her's NetNavi. "Not good..."
"you say something, Kaden?" Rex inquires as he deletes another virus, hearing his Net Op mutter those words.
"Someone is in here..." Kaden whispers.
Rex blinks and stands up straight. "Oh no..." Just before he could do anything the newcomer's NetNavi shows up a few feet in front of him. He gulps as he sees the NetNavi is an Alimon type NetNavi, must be an official. Busted...

"AUUUGH!" screams Tanner Navi as he clutches his wound. He looks to see three slash marks quickly heal up. "That son of a bitch!" yells Tanner NetOp as he takes out his treestar chip, "Treestar battle chip in!" he slots in the chip, which restores the Navi Tanner's health from 50% back to 100. Drone charges at Tanner a second time, but Tanner side steps out of danger and digs his claws into Drone's chest as he passes, "PAYBACK'S A BITCH AINT IT?"

Kiraa's head lifted as she heard someone whisper. "Anything wrong?" She heard Grayscale's voice coming from the machine.
"I think someone is in here..." She looked over, and spotted Kaden not far away. "Oh, it's just a boy. False alarm." She regarded Kaden briefly before turning her gaze back.
"Shouldn't you arrest him?" Grayscale inquired. "A boy isn't allowed..."
"I'll let it slide for now. We've got a bigger problem to worry about." She told Grayscale.
The alimon Navi shook her head, and quickly spotted Rex. She studied him, and realized he was a sharptooth Navi. She could have quickly mistaken him for a virus, but rather than attack, she approached him slowly. "Who are you and what are you doing here?" She asked him with a serious look on her face.

Kaden started to panic in his mind as the Official caught him. He thought he was about to be thrown into the big house until the Official gave him the brush off, relief coursing through him.
Rex, on the other hand, remains frozen in place as the Alimon NetNavi looks at him, examining his body. The Alimon's serious face is practically enough to just delete with sight. Rex gulps, "Uhhh...I'm Rex, my Net Op's name is Kaden. We're here to shut down the machine and find out who's responsible for this mess. You know, give a helping hand?"
"And who are you?" Kaden inquires as he steps out of his spot and approaches the Official, PET in hand with the cable stretching from the PET to the jack-in plug.
Drone's eyes narrow as Tanner dodges another attack of his. Seeing Tanner's claws moving in, Drone quickly moves and his claws clash against Tanner's as swords. Drone just grins evily at Tanner, "You're good, but I'm better!"

Drone lunges at Tanner again,"F that." says Tanner as he jumps straight up, does a front flip, and while in half spin impales the back of Drone's neck with his claws.

Kiraa looked over to see the teenager headed her way. She set down her PET on top of the jack in machine, and turned around to face him. "I'm Kiraa. And you are?"
Grayscale hmmmed as she stood inches away from the Rex Navi. She leaned in closely, staring into his eyes, studying him. She then accepted that he was telling the truth. "All right, then." She took a step back. "How is the situation now?"

Kaden nods, "Kiraa, huh? I'm Kaden."
Rex was starting to get uncomfortable at how the Alimon NetNavi stared into his eyes, feeling the need to back off, but soon relief coursed through him as the Alimon begins to trust him and asks him of the situation. "Situation? Well, most of the viruses in this machine are gone now, though some managed to get into the battle chips. Might need to check them all out to take out the remains..."
"Childsplay." Netra mocks as he cooly takes out a battle chip and slots it in. A barrier soons sorrounds Drone and Tanner's claws strike the shield, completely preventing the claws from touching Drone.
"Let's see him dodge this." Netra continues as he slots in another chip. Drone's hands soon started sparking with electricity, which he didn't waste any time in turning and grabbing Tanner's arm. Soon enough, electricity soon coursed from Drone's hands to Tanner and sorrounding his body, shocking him with hundreds of volts of lightning, electrocuting the living daylights out of Tanner as long as Drone grabs hold of Tanner's arm.
This chip is known as Elec Touch.

In the real world, Tanner slams his fists in frustration, "F*************K! F**K THIS F***ING SHIT OFF! I need to find the f**king twerp who owns that f**king navi and tear his f**king heart out!!!" He digs around in his pocket, trying to find a good chip that could counter Drones attack, "AHA!! FOUND ONE!! I HOPE THIS WORKS!! ALIMON RAGE!! F***KING BATTLE CHIP IN!" Tanner inserts the alimon rage chip in hopes that is could dilute the shock from Drone. The red and green alimon's eyes turn red with anger, suddenly, all emotions and feelings are blocked out with a sense of anger and resentment. He fights the feeling of electrocution as his twitching arm slowly reaches up toward's drone's throat. When Tanner feels his hand touch Drone's neck, he squeezes tight around the throat and slams into Drone, pins him to the ground and slams his head against the floor. Then, the alimon picks the deinonychus up, with his hand still clutched around the sharptooth's throat, "ALIMON CLAWS!" he screams and his hand claws grow long and wide again. He slashes deep wounds into Drone's belly with his available hand, impales his stomach, and instead of just pulling them out, he tears them out through Drone's side.

Drone was in shock as the Alimon Rage battle chip took effect, turning Tanner into a heartless killing machine for the remainder of the battle chip's effect. He choked as Tanner grasped his neck and slammed him to the ground, recieving drastic damage.
Netra just shook his head. "When will he learn..." He took out his Area Steal battle chip and slotted it in. However, instead of teleporting out of Tanner's grasp, for some reason the battle chip didn't work. A fact which caught Netra off guard, "What the hell!?" He cried as he stood up, staring in anger at his PET.
"Ghaaaaaaaaa!!!"
Drone's cry of agony as he is being sliced by the Alimon Claws just drove Netra angry, seeing the massive damage his NetNavi is recieving. He takes out a battle chip, Velociraptor Lunge, and slots it in. And from Tanner's right, a band of viruses pop out. "Attack." Netra commands as he presses a button on his PET, thus making the viruses lunge at Tanner to help out his NetNavi, all of them opening their jaws to sink their teeth into Tanner's arm and legs to aid Drone.
"What the!?" Rex acknowledged as he felt some massive power in the net's ratio.
"Huh? What's wrong, Rex?" Kaden inquires as he notices his NetNavi's uneasiness.
"Just felt some massive energy coming from the north," Rex reports. "I'm going to check it out!"
"Right." Kaden nods, thus Rex runs his way to the north toward the energy source. Kaden turns to Kiraa, "You better send your NetNavi along with him, there might be more viruses down there."

Tanner hacks and slashes away and deletes as much viruses as he can. Tanner in the real world is now enraged, "GOD DAMN IT! DON'T LET THEM TAKE YOU OVER! I WON'T TOLLERATE ANY LOSERS! YOU HAVE TO WIN! WIN! WIN!" he slams his fist down and tries to take deep breaths to calm his anger, "God f***ing damn it, I should have brought that kid with me, his navi would really help out a lot."

(Um, Netra used a battle chip to summon more viruses. The viruses are the ones who lunged after Tanner to attack him, not Drone ^^; )

Kiraa didn't say anything to Kaden, but did nod once, and said, "Grayscale, follow the Navi!"
Grayscale had also sensed something, and was racing alongside Rex.

"Treestar." Netra comments as he slots in a TreeStar battle chip, recovering 50% of Drone's damage.
Now Drone was angry, and he would laugh at Tanner's attempt at deleting the viruses if he wasn't doing so well. Drone sees Tanner busy with one virus and he takes that chance, charging him and kicking Tanner's back, knocking the Alimon down to the ground. "This is as far as you go..." Drone grins as he's about to stomp on Tanner's back...
"Gah!" But he was knocked away by a shot to his shoulder. He snarls as he clutches his shoulder and turns around. "Who dares to shoot me!"
"I do." Rex stands on top of a pillar in the area, his buster raised and trained at Drone. "Back off if you know what's good for you." He orders as he spots Grayscale coming into the scene as well.

"Wait a minute," says the Tanner NetOp, "Is that the navi owned by that kid I met in the park?" He looks closley to make sure, "Hold shit! It is! Just when I need him." says Tanner, finally cooling down from his explosive temper.

Grayscale stopped beside Rex, and looked for the Navi that had attacked Tanner. Though she couldn't see color, she didn't have a hard time recognizing Drone and his gettup. She smirked. "Oh dear...I thought it was a real threat." She said mockingly, referring to Drone. "Only Netra and his lackey Drone would be stupid enough to even challenge an Alimon Navi or attack a place like this." She took a step forward. "When they were handing out the brains, Netra and Drone played hooky!"
Kiraa winced. "Oh here she goes again..." She knew it was a bad idea to act cocky in a battle. "Grayscale! Cut it out!" She demanded. "Don't get cocky!"
Grayscale laughed half-heartedly. "I know, I know." She then noticed the viruses that Netra had summoned not long ago. "Netra never did know how to play fair. The coward..." She shook her head, before turning her attention back on Drone.

"What!?"
"What!?"
Netra and Drone practically fumed at the same time, Grayscale's insult took them right through the roof. "That's it!" Drone snarls, charging and jumping right at Grayscale and Rex, leaving the remaining viruses to take care of Tanner. "Come here and say that to my face!"
"He's coming, Rex!" Kaden warns.

"Boy, I can't wait to waste you in real life you mind-f***ed little prick!" The real Tanner yells at Netra, "AIR BOOT BATTLE CHIP IN!" yells Tanner as he inserts the air boots chip into the slot. The alimon Tanner jumps out of the way of the velociraptors and the picks them off one by one until they're all deleted. "Oh I hope he does." says the red and green alimon, giving Netra the finger.

Grayscale laughed. "What's the matter? Can't handle the truth? Is it too much for your cowardly minds?"
She heard her Op's voice say, "Grayscale...ex-nay on the sulting-inay!"
"What are you worried about? You think they'll be bright enough to..." She noticed Drone charging forward. Addressing Rex, she said, "Get ready to dodge in 3, 2...Now!" She leapt out of the way, allowing Drone to barrel past her. She turned towards him and shouted, "What's the matter, Drone? Losing your touch?" She couldn't help but laugh mockingly as she continued, "Maybe if you and Netra had at least half a brain in there, you would at least pose as a minor challenge!"
Kiraa, who normally wouldn't be affected by this, gulped. She looked over to Kaden. "She is so asking for it..."

Rex jumps out of the way and trains his buster at Drone, "Buster shot!" He shoots at Drone, but the Navi retaliates and jumps out of the way, snarling and growling in pure anger.
"Let's see how stupid you think I am!" Netra shouts as he takes out three chips and slots them in at once. Soon enough three huge Sharpteeth viruses, the T-Rex types, shows up. Roaring up in the air and stomping around in the net, bearing their razor sharp teeth as they roar again.
"Oh...My..." Rex gasps as he stares up at the two towering viruses.
"Not good..." Kaden comments.
"Hah! How's that for "stupid"!" Drone grins at the Navis, "With those two viruses this place will be broken down in no time. Hahah! Let's see you delete them!"
"This is not good." Kaden comments and soon screams in surprise as the battle chip machine acts up and causes a small explosion, blowing some battle chips around the room. The viruses are destroying its mainframe!
"You jerk!" Rex insults as he glares at Drone.
"Hahahah!" Drone laughs. "Well I guess I did some good damage. Time to go." With a sneer Drone jacks out, leaving to fight another day.
"Wait! Get back here!" Rex roars and soon gets smacked off his feet by one of the viruses' tail, sending him to the ground and sliding across it. "Gaah!"
"Rex!" Kaden cries as he witnesses his Navi being smacked away like that.

Grayscale narrowed her eyes, unfazed by the large viruses. "This just further proves how much of a coward Netra and his pathetic Navi really are!" As she ran forward she said, "Only cowards would hide behind giants like these!"
Kiraa pressed her hand against her face and shook her head. "Just focus on the viruses!"
"Way ahead of you!" She lunged toward the virus that had attacked Rex, and her tail glowed brightly. The sharp blades that projected from the tail tip, looking like a pincher, moved together, and grew into a single, long, serrated blade. "Dagger Tail!" She shouted as she whipped herself around in midair, bringing her tail forward, the blade poised to slice right through the skull of the T-Rex Virus.

"That cowardly putz. He just jacks out and runs away like, f*** him." says the real Tanner.

"Buster shot!" Rex cries as he aims and shoots at the two remaining viruses, one of them already deleted thanks to Grayscale's Dagger Tail attack. The two viruses roar as the shots hit them, but they don't seem to have any effect on them, they just roar in annoyance.
"Cannon! Battle chip in!" Kaden announces as he slots in his Cannon battle chip, turning Rex's left arm into the Cannon. Rex aimed and shot at the viruses, and while the Cannon did some damage, it just wasn't enough. One of the T-Rex virus swung its tail at Rex and while he dodged it the tail struck a pillar of the mainframe.
That strike caused the battle chip machine to fume and blow a fuse, causing more battle chips to be thrown in the room Kaden and Kiraa are in. "Agh!" Kaden yelped as he covered his face from the flying chips.
Rex was getting frustrated. He lands next to Tanner and kneels down at him, helping him up. "Get up! Or else we're toast!"
"We're toast anyway!" Kaden comments in anger as he slams his fist on the machine, an anger he rarely lets out. Suddenly, as if a prayer answered, a strange symbol shows up in the screen of Kaden's PET. The symbol breaks slightly in half and two rings swirls around the symbol as it glows a blueish color. Kaden gasps and soon beamed, he recognizes this symbol.
"Alright!" Kaden grins and presses a button on his PET. "Style Change! Rex!"
Rex blinks and he too starts to glow, two golden rings sorround and swirl his body. His body color turns a more aqua-ish color as his shoulderpads turns more sleek, giving them that aerodynamic look. He then dons a helmet, it too having that aerodynamic look. On his back a backpack-like accessory digitalizes in, and his gloves gain a more sleeker and aerodynamic look. With the transformation complete, his armor gaining an aqua color look, Rex crosses his arms and spreads them out, shattering the golden rings sorrounding him as the transformation ends.
"Aqua Team!"

"Hmm, Aqua team. Nice choice!" says the real Tanner to Rex.

The two viruses were attracted to Rex's transformation, and like all T-Rexes they dive in for the attack. Rex skillfuly jumps aside and avoid the attack, leaving their muzzles to slam down onto the ground. One of them lifts its muzzle back up and swing its muzzle for the attack, but Rex rears back a fist and collides it with the T-Rex's muzzle. With his enhanced strength, the T-Rex is literarily blown off its feet and collide against a wall of the mainframe.
Rex growls and turns his arm into his buster, now a bulkier buster with a much more wider muzzle. "Aqua Buster!" What shoots out of his buster is not plasma shots or bullets but a high-powered water cannon, a powerful hydro pump bursts from the buster and strikes the downed virus. The super power hydro pump keeps trained on the virus' chest as it roars, trying to break free. Unfortunately the buster's aqua pump proves too much for the virus and the super pressure pump shatters through the virus' chest, piercing through its body, thus deleting the virus. Such is the power of the Style Change.
Rex turns his arm to normal and turns to the remaining virus. Kaden already knows how to follow this up and takes out a rather bulky battle chip with a plug on it. Kaden turns to Kiraa, "Kiraa! Lend me Grayscale's strength!" He asks as he reaches for Kiraa's PET plug-in cable...

Grayscale looked surprised by this Aqua Team thing. She's heard of it, but this is the first time she's witnessed it in battle. And Rex's change... All she could say was... "Wow..."
Kiraa eyed Kaden curiously. "And what do you plan on doing?" But she made no move to stop him, believing that it would be necessary to take down the enemy.

"Like I said, lend me Grayscale's strength!" Kaden repeated himself as he unplugged Kiraa's PET from the jack in port, rendering Grayscale stranded in the net. But that's not his intention. Kaden plugs in the cable to the battle chip he took out, this battle chip is called an Extention Chip.
"Extention Chip! Grayscale!" Kaden cries as he slots in the Extention Chip into his PET. "Download!"
Grayscale is suddenly sorrounded by 9 cyber blocks, her body soon turns into frames and dissapears along with the blocks. In a matter of seconds those blocks sorround Rex and a hologram of Grayscale shows up over Rex. The Navi soon glows yellow and bursts out in a light, and as soon as the glow fades Rex has obviously gone through another change. Rex still looks the same as when he changed into Aqua Team, but the change was his tail, the tip of his tail having the same pincher-like weapon Grayscale has. And his eyes, right eye yellow, left eye orange.
The T-Rex virus snarls and runs right at Rex, who in return charges at a rather impossible speed for his design, it was the speed of an Alimon. He jumps and kicks the virus' stomach, knocking it right off its feet and onto the ground. Rex lands on the ground and jumps again at an impressive height, clearly his jumping abilities were upgraded with the Extention Chip with Grayscale.
"Dagger Tail!" Rex cries as he hovers over the virus, the pincher-like weapon on the tip of his tail moved together and grew into a single, long serrated blade. Rex soon dived down and with a front flip he brings his tail forward and clearly stabs into the virus' skull, his sharp talons from his feet also cutting into the virus' face. The virus roared before succumbing and deleting in place.
"Alright!" Kaden cries out, "We did it!"
Rex stands there with his tail swaying back and forth, smiling to himself and nodding, "Yeah!" Soon the Style Change ends as Rex reverts back to normal, Grayscale materializing next to him as Aqua Team goes dormant.

Grayscale wobbled a little, feeling a bit disoriented from the temporary fusion. "I felt like I was dropped into a washing machine..." She came to her senses quickly, though.
Kiraa looked a bit impressed. "Not bad, kid, not bad. That was impressive."

"Hahah! Thanks!" Kaden grins at Kiraa. "Gotta love them Style Changes."
In the cyber world, Rex takes a few deep breathes to shake off the strain of the Style Change and temporary fusion of the Team Style. He looks at Tanner who's slowly getting up. "Hey! You OK?" Rex inquires as he makes his way to Tanner.

"Oh! I'm fine." says Tanner, getting up on his feet.

Kaden looks at the machine, turned off as he did, some battle chips scattered here and there, but no permanent damage...
"Nothing serious, is there?" Kaden asks to no one in particular.
"Not that I can see here on the mainframe." Rex reports. "Heheh! What a netbattle, eh guys?" He turns to Grayscale and Tanner.

"For us it kind of sucked." says the real Tanner angrily, "Oooo, I wish I could meet him in real life and beat his ass down."

It has been three hours or so since Kaden, Kiraa and Tanner stopped the Battle Chip Corruption crime and defeated the NetNavi, Drone, and his Net Op Netra. The Battle Chip Manufacturing Device was swamped by technicans and scientists to repair the damage and make sure the Battle Chips were free of viruses.
Tanner and Kiraa were congratulated for stopping the criminal's plan, but they couldn't have caught or even find Netra and his NetNavi. Kaden wasn't off so easy though, not only was he in trouble for infiltrating to the room with the machine but he was also brought in for questioning, apparently it wasn't enough with Rex holding datas of certificates and authenticities to assure he's in good hands with Kaden.
Kaden was questioned about what happened in the room while they confiscated his PET for analisis and personal questionings with his NetNavi. Although Tanner and Kiraa boutched for him about him having nothing to do with the crime, he was still held in for questioning. It took a good hour and a half for Kaden to be released and given his PET back...But by the time he got out it was already night, and he had to go home...He wondered where and what Kiraa and Tanner were doing...
THE NEXT DAY
"Man...Talk about hostile..." Kaden muttered as he wandered around the Garden City streets, still moaning about his experience last night. "First I help in stopping that criminal and next thing I know I'm being questioned and being pointed at..." He stops and takes out his PET, "And look at what they've done to you."
Rex scratches his neck, where he's currently wearing what seems to be a collar. "You're telling me, this thing is so uncomfortable, I can't even nod properly."
Kaden sighs, "Why did they installed that collar program on you again?"
"To keep track of what I'm doing, monitoring me in other words."
Kaden sighs again, "Great...No more privacy for us apparently..."
"It's not that bad."
"But they know about you, Rex! My dad gave you to me! Why didn't they trusted you?"
Rex shrugs, "Security measures?" Suddenly the PET beeps, Rex immediatly knowing what it is. "Email for ya, Kaden."
"Email?" Kaden inquires, "From who?"
Rex opens the PET's inbox and skims the saved emails in there until he finds the new one. "It's from Tanner."
"Tanner?" Kaden blinks, then lightly hits his forehead. "Why is he emailing for?"
Rex opens the email and reads it. "Hmm...He wants to meet us at the Garden City National Park."
"The park? I wonder what for." Kaden nods and puts away his PET into the PET holster. "Alright, let's see what he wants then." With that he makes his way to the Garden City National Park.

Tanner is sitting at a picnic table in the park, he has his PET on the table and is talking to his Net Navi counterpart. "God f***king damn it. I keep telling them they didn't have to do with the f**king net crime, they put him on surveilance anyway!" he slams his fist down on the table.
"Yeah, I know. It's so unfair and childish." says the Tanner Navi angrily.

Kaden managed to make it to the Garden City National Park, with great time might I add. The routes and roads were pretty clean for a Saturday morning. The kid looks around in the park and spots Tanner on a picnic table.
"Hey Tanner!" Kaden calls as he makes his way toward the table.

"Hi Kaden!" says Tanner, allowing Kaden to sit across from him, "God, it must really suck to be monitored now."

"You bet it does..." Kaden sighs as he sits down, taking out his PET from its holster and setting it down on the table.
"The thing doesn't even let me sleep," Rex comments with a depressed tone. "It's straining my neck just to nod or to even get in a comfortable position to sleep." He scratches at the collar and sighs, "It itches too."
"You're not the only one," Kaden adds as he sags on the table, "I didn't get much sleep either. They've kept me in that room questioning for a very long time..." Kaden straightens up and looks at Tanner. "What about you? What did they do to you and Kiraa?"

"We were congratulated. Though I shouldn't have been the one honored, since I got f**ked by that idiot and his deinonychus. It pisses me off to see you being framed. You were the one who should have been rewarded for your effort. You were the one who shut down the machine and kept the viruses from spreading to more chips. I'm thinking of sueing them." says Tanner with a look of extreme anger in his eyes.

"Nah, don't worry about it. I'm sure they'll soon see we're on the same side as them and they'll take us down their survaillance system in no time."
"Yeah well I hope it's very soon." Rex complains, "I'm not looking forward in losing another night trying to make friends with this collar."
Kaden couldn't help but chuckle and turn to his PET, "Relax, you'll get used to it. Besides, it kinds of makes you look cute."
"Cute!?" Rex snaps, "I'm a Sharptooth Generation NetNavi with razor sharp claws and teeth! What do you mean cute!?"
Kaden grins at his NetNavi, "You sort of look like a pet."
Rex blinks and glares at Kaden, who's know grinning from ear to ear at him. "...I'd appreciate the pun and irony if it wasn't directed at me...You're lucky I'm here in the cyber world and you in the real world."

Tanner snickers a little, and then goes back to his old, angry self again as he has been all day. "Still, we don't know if you'll be taken off in a couple days or a couple weeks or a couple MONTHS." he says in a nearly rageful tone, "And until then, it's best to just harass the dumb f**ks." he says as he picks up his PET.

Kiraa muttered as she walked through the park, thinking about the punishment she recieved just today. While she was congratulated for helping to stop Netra and his NetNavi, she was still scolded for allowing a kid into a secure area. As punishment, she was the one who had to monitor Kaden and Rex. She didn't think it was fair for both her and Kaden, but she could not argue against her superior. So she unwillingly obligued.
"Why do I have to be the one to monitor that kid?" She asked to herself as she set down on a bench. "I did vouch for him, I did defend him, but I did not intend to babysit him."
"Babysit him?" Came Grayscale's voice from the PET. "I thought you had to keep an eye on him."
"Keep an eye on him, babysit him," Kiraa replied a bit grumpily, "Is there really a difference?"
Grayscale thought about it. "No...I guess not." She replied. "So do you know how long does Rex have to wear that collar anyway?"
This Kiraa could not answer. She simply gave a shrug with her shoulders, and said, "I honestly can't say. Maybe until Kaden proves to the authorities that he is trustworthy and not some net criminal." She gave a long sigh. "And that might not be an easy task for him to do."
"Can't you remove the collar?" Grayscale inquired curiously, even though she already knew the answer.
Kiraa blinked. "You're joking right? If they find out I removed that collar, I'll lose more than just my job, I'd lose you as well."
"Ah, I see." The Alimon Navi replied. She still had a worried look on her face, and Kiraa knew exactly who she was worrying about. Rex and his NetOp Kaden. "I wonder how those two are doing."
Kiraa smiled slightly. "Well we'll have a good idea of that for a while. After all, I have to monitor Kaden and you have to monitor Rex."
"I what?!" Grayscale shouted anxiously. "I have to babysit him?!"
"Keep an eye on him." Kiraa corrected, smirking. "They didn't let you off the hook either."
"Oh all right." Grayscale said, muttering to herself.
Kiraa looked up and saw Tanner talking with Kaden. "Oh there they are." She said, and she got up off the bench, and walked towards them.
"Why are you walking over to them?" The Alimon Navi asked.
"What? You don't think I should tell Kaden and Rex we're the ones monitoring them?"
"No." Grayscale said. "But if you want to tell them, then fine by me."
Kiraa rolled her eyes. "All right then." She continued walking towards the two NetOps.

"I have an idea, we can do a little blackmail to the head bastard who ordered Rex monitored." says Tanner, giving Kaden a sinister look.

"Blackmail?" Kaden raises an eyebrow at Tanner. The idea sounds tempting, but how exactly will that help other than getting him into more trouble than what he's already in. "Well it...Sounds like a plan for a little revenge..."
"I don't know, Kaden." Rex warns, "If we do anything suspicious they'll get on our cases on the spot. Besides, we're supposed to prove to them we're on their side."
"I guess you're right..." Kaden sighs as he sags on the table. "But it ticks me off how they got us monitored like that. Just who did they put in charge to monitor us anyway!!"

Kiraa was close enough to hear that. As soon as she had reached Tanner and Kaden, she answered his question. "Me."

"You???" Tanner turns around to see Kiraa behind him, "They put YOU in charge of monitoring Rex????? Oh boy, now I'm REALLY gonna harass them now!" he yells, slamming his fist on the table, his eyes flaring with anger.

"You!?" Kaden exclaimed practically at the same time with Tanner. Kaden was shocked, the Official who gave them a helping hand is the one that's going to monitor him!?
Rex was shocked as well. "...Well, this is some surprise for us...But, look at this way. A friend is monitoring us, maybe she could give us a break!"
Kaden soon snapped out of it. "Yeah! That's right! Kiraa! You along with Tanner can prove it to them personally that I'm on their side! You know, talk to them!"

"Yeah, Kiraa can talk to them up close and personal. While I perform the psychological warfare." The red headed teenager says with a sinister smile.

"Yes, I can talk to them." Kiraa said thoughtfully. "But I can't guarantee it'll work. Perhaps proving that you are not a criminal might be the best solution."
"You can remove the collar!" Grayscale shouted loud enough for them all to hear.
"Grayscale!" Kiraa said to her Alimon navi angrily. "I told you, if I remove the collar, I'll lose my job and have you taken away!"
"But you could take it off securely, couldn't you?"
"I cannot say, and I think him proving himself or me talking my boss into letting him off the hook is a better idea than having the collar removed without approval of my superior, and risk getting Kaden into deeper trouble and me losing my job and navi." Kiraa replied.
"Was only a suggestion." Grayscale said.

"Until then, I guess I'm just gonna have to torment them." says Tanner, taking out a small video camera and setting it down on the table.

Kaden chuckles at Tanner's persistance in blackmailing them. He couldn't help but smile, knowing these two are determined to show to them that he's with the good guys, determined to free Rex from the collar and get them into good grounds with the Officials.
"Thanks guys," Kaden grins. "With you two on my side I'm sure we'll show them!"

"You're welcome, kid...I mean Kaden." Kiraa said, smiling.

The sprinklers of the park all soon turned on, spraying about its water like they were programmed to. However, this came to a surprise to everyone, as the sprinklers are not to be turned on until late at night when the park is empty.
Everyone in the park covered themselves as the water began to drench them. Including Kaden, Tanner and Kiraa who were peacefuly chatting. This wasn't normal water though, it felt heavy and sticky, not to mention a bit warm to the touch.
"Gah!" Kaden cried as he covered his face with his arms, holding his PET in his left hand. "What is this!?" He inquired, feeling the rather odd traits of this 'water'.
Rex, whose PET screen is looking down at the grass, gasped. "Kaden! Look!"
Kaden opened one eye to see the grass slightly turning from it's usual green to a slight brown, whatever this 'water' is it's rotting the grass away. Kaden stood up from the picnic table's seat and looked around, starting to breathe a bit heavier...
"Hey," He starts, "is it just me or is it getting hotter?"
"Kaden, the temperature has skyrocketed by 20 degrees farenheit." Rex informs, "It's already up to 101 degrees."
"What!?" Kaden exclaims as he looks at his PET, "Are you serious!?"
Rex nods, "Yeah. This water isn't normal, that's for sure."
Kaden looks down at the grass and feels a huge concentration of humity emitting from the grass. Whatever this water is, it's bad news...

"Then we better get the f**k out of the park!" says Tanner as he frantically starts for the SciLab complex, hiding his PET in one of the pockets in his lab coat.

Just then Grayscale called out, "Kiraa! You've got a message! It's from the Water Corp!"
Immediately Kiraa took out her PET to look at the e-mail she just recieved. After reading it, she turned to Kaden, "There's problems down at the Water Corp!"

Kaden turns to Kiraa, "WaterCorps?" Of course! The source of Garden City's water supply! WaterCorps!
"Whoever's behind this must be over there!" Rex cries out from the PET, "Let's go check it out!"
Kaden nods as he wipes away some sweat from his forehead. "Yeah, it's starting to feel like an oven now..."
"The temperature's at 112 degrees!" Rex cries, "Let's hope WaterCorps has air conditioning, otherwise you three will burn up!"

"Then we better hurry up!" Kiraa said, "Come with me. We're going to the WaterCorps!"
"You're taking the kid with you?" Grayscale asked, temporarily forgetting the punishment Kiraa recieved.
"Yes." Kiraa said as she started to run towards her car. "Come on, Kaden!"

Kaden nods at Kiraa, "Alright!" He follows her through the park and out onto the streets. Sweat pouring down his face as the temperature around him gets hotter and hotter.
"Yikes!" Rex exclaims from inside the PET. "The temperature's going up quite steady! It's up to 110 degrees!"
"No kidding!" Kaden yells back as more sweat starts to pour down his face from the running. He could only swore under his breath, if they keep running like this they would get to WaterCorps in about half an hour, but if the temperature keeps going up like this it's just gonna drain them before they get there.

Tanner tries hard to keep up, but the heat is exhausting him, "Hard... to breathe! Too... HOT!" He staggers, feeling light headed, "Oh... f***."

It took about an hour to get to WaterCorps. Kaden came to a stop in front of the guard railing just outside of the plant, his tongue practically hanging from his mouth like a dog as he pants for breath, the ever-so increasing temperature starting to get to him, sweat pouring down his head.
"Hahh...Hahh...So hot..." Kaden pants. He looks around and sets his eyes on the tanks housing the waters, his eyes widening as steam are rising from them. "Look at that!" he points at the tanks, "The whole plant's water is the same way!"
"What's worse is that the temperature is still increasing." Rex informs from the PET. "You guys are going to fry! Get out of there!"
Kaden wipes his head and nods, rushing toward the air conditioned inside of the WaterCorps buildings.

Kiraa was panting heavily as well. She wiped the sweat away from her forehead as she struggled towards the door. The heat was intensifying every second, but the doors were so close, so very close. As she reached forward, the heat suddenly got the better of her and she fell to one knee.
"Kiraa! You all right?" Grayscale asked, concerned. "You can't stay here! You'll fry!"
Kiraa groaned, feeling slightly disoriented. "I-I..I know..." She struggled back up to her feet, and managed to make it to the doors. She opened it up, and went inside.

Kaden rests his hands on his knees as he takes deep breaths, recovering from the heat increasing outside. Brushing sweat off his forehead he lifts his head to the lobby, empty...
"Um, where is everybody?" Rex inquires from the PET.
"I was half expecting this place being full." Kaden comments as he walks into the lobby, looking around. He shakes his head after looking around a bit before turning to his friends. "This isn't good. There's a crisis with the water here and no employees in sight."
