I really hate HiE fanfics. It's just not right to have a human in the pony world. But I think the same about every show that doesn't have humans. Just like throwing a human into LBT would be weird. Don't get me wrong. I've never "thumbed down" or bashed a HiE fic because it was HiE. I just don't like them and avoid them as much as possible.

But I think my least favorite is humanized ponies. They're ponies. Why on earth would you humanize them? It's not really them then. Just some weirdo alternate reality cross-breed creature that's sort of like a human and a pony combined. No thanks.

I don't like humanized ponies.

I especially like the HiE fics that have a science fiction edge.

On a side note, I hate The Conversion Bureau and most of its spinoffs with a passion. The only TCB fics I like are the ones where Humanity shows the ponies the error of their ways (either by opening up a giant can of whoopass or by less violent means) or ones that completely deconstruct the whole premise.

As for why I hate these fics:

1.) Designated Hero and Designated Villain seem to be the two most commonly used tropes.
2.) A lot of authors use it to espouse their "Humans are Bastards" view.
3.) Some of the authors are f---ing crazy.
4.) The ponies are turned into a race of xenophobic Mary Sues.
5.) The stories can get really heavy-handed with their moralizing.

XD It's true. Luckily my mom got me one on Ebay (although it ended up being $120).

I doubt it. They might make a Derpy toy that isn't exclusive but I don't think they'll be making more of this one. If they did, it really wouldn't be an exclusive anymore.

Well, after watching a certain Pixar movie, I've finally come up with an idea for my first story... a Crossover//Alternate Universe with Toy Story!

We all know the story behind Toy Story: A Cowboy doll and a Space Ranger action figure go on a hilarious adventure together. But what if it wasn't a Space Ranger that was the Cowboy's companion? What if it was a Pony toy from a popular franchise?

For a while I debated over which character I should use, Twilight Sparkle or Rainbow Dash. They both fit in perfectly with certain scenes from the movie. But to make the flying/falling with style scenes make more sense, I'm leaning towards Rainbow Dash.

Thoughts?
