An interesting question: who would've died if Universal suddenly decided to produce a new LBT movie and make it even darker than the original by Don Bluth? Hm... I think the safest route for them would be to kill off Chomper or Spike. The first variant would be an easy cop out from the moral dilemma of a carnivore hanging out with his potential prey and the latter wouldn't piss off a voice actor who'd lost their chance to work on possible sequels.

If that happens in some parallel universe of ours...
My vote is for Chomper too.

My vote is for Chomper too.
And on this day the rumor was born that Russians hate Chomper and want him dead. :lol

lol
nope, I have no hate about Chomper.

Just part of me (huge part) doesn't want to see his sharptooth's future. It's life's law, it would make LBT story great, but... I want to remember him only as our lovely little friendly biter.
So, scenes when he sacrifices himself for example, come to my head very often.

Well, I could imagine him doing so at some point... imagine the Gang stumples upon some smart Sharpteeth for once and ends up cornered. Chomper would fight those and get killed in the process, allowing the gang to escape or possibly allowing them to fight the remaining Sharpteeth themselves (assuming they all got a bit older, that is). Sounds like a plausible plot to me at least.

True. We couldn't have picked a worse time to resume this particular discussion.

Ducky, because the original voice actress died shortly after the first movie and had on her tombstone, "Yep! Yep! Yep!"

I haven't considered that when thinking about this yet. Good point... :(

Judith actually died before the movie aired, poor Judith never got to see the epic result of her wonderful voice acting :(

Little Foot, and it would be him laying down his life for the rest of Gang.

Granted, I'd be sad if ANY of them died; but Littlefoot is closest to me
You said it! I totally agree. I'd be depressed as all get out if any of them died, but with Littlefoot being: 1) my favorite character, 2) the main character, 3) essentially the thread holding LBT together and 4) his "family's last hope for the future", I'd DEFINITELY be saddest if he died.

If this topic makes people sad, why is it here?

There's nothing wrong with movies making you all sad and tearful. As a matter of fact, I never cried about the death of Littlefoot's mother but it always makes me feel for sure. I'm just that not that emotional to tear up at anything sad but there have been moments (sometimes also depending on current mood) in movies that made me tear up, sometimes just because I loved what I saw so much but more often because shit happened and I just felt with the characters. (The Good Dinosaur comes to my mind which had a few tear-jerking scenes or... Naruto )

Littlefoot, without a doubt. He's the thread that keeps the gang together, and his death would definitely have the most far-reaching repercussions.

I vote Spike, he is the least developed character. He spends his time eating, sleeping, and traveling at the back of the Gang. If he disappeared, it would be Ducky who is most affected.
