Title: A computer problem
Post by: DarkHououmon on June 30, 2007, 04:06:33 PM
For some reason, the program "winlogon.EXE", a SYSTEM file, keeps performing tasks, even when not needed, and constantly takes up 70-98 percent of the CPU and it's slowing down the computer greatly. Unfortunately, because it is a SYSTEM file, I am not able to shut down the program, nor do I know what it is for.

Does anyone know how I can stop wilogon.EXE from taking up so much CPU?

Well, I chatted with you on msn for a while and I hope what we did solved the problem. :)

It seemed to be a hacker of sorts.  If he comes back, I'll have to kick his butt for you. ;)

Try that disk scan thing I told you about.  It'll help ya a lot. B)
