I've created another collection of great apps that involve data recovery, file destruction, and some other cool PC tools.  Unlike the other one I made though, this one's only 3.35mb!  Also, none of them are 7-zip applications so they all run right out of the application.  Here is a description of the included software:

Damaged Data Recovery:

This program is useful for
recovering data that is on a damaged drive.  It
uses agressive recovery techniques so it should
only be used on a damaged drive.

File Recovery:

This program is useful for recovering data that has
been deleted from the recycle bin.  You can use it
to recover files such as word documents, music, programs,
and even videos!

File Shredder:

This program is used to get rid of files for good!
Deleted things from the recycle bin can easily be
recovered using tools (such as the one included
in this package).

File Encryptor:

Use this program to encrypt (password protect) all
sorts of files!  Keep your information private!

TweakUI:

This application is much like the control panel only
it has more options.  Get under the hood of your computer
without taking advanced measures!

Keyfinder:

Ever wonder what your windows xp product key is?
What about your office product key?  What would happen
if your computer crashed and you lost your key?  You'd
have to buy another copy of the program!  Not anymore.
With this tool, you can view your product key for all
of your microsoft programs so you can write them down
and store them in case of a computer emergency.

FreeRAM:

Low on RAM?  Getting out of memory messages?  Well, run
this baby in the background and let it free ram as you
work!  Over time, the windows OS uses memory and when you
close a program, it gives it back....but not all of it.
With this program, you can recovery RAM that was eaten up
by applications and not returned to you.

If any of these apps sound interesting to you, you should download the package here:

I'm in disbelief that no one finds these programs useful.  I would die without them (well, not the keyfinder program, but the other ones I would).

Heh...I might give this a go. Some of these will probably come in handy. To be honest I'm as surprised as you are. Looking over these some look very useful.

I'm probably the weird exception compared to most computer users, but
1) I have so many backups of important files on other hard drives/computers that a hard drive recovery isn't necessary to me.  If a hard drive dies, I'll replace it.  Simple as that.
2) I rarely delete files unless I have a *very* good reason to, therefore I never have to recover deleted files.
3) I have nothing I have to make absolutely sure is never found again.
4) I already have more RAM than I know what to do with. :p
5) I have my product keys written down already.

That's why I don't need anything that's offered here.

Petrie.

I do what Tim does, so I'm set and wouldn't need this stuff.

Action, I used to think just like you.  I keep backups of EVERYTHING, however when something goes wrong you'd be surprised what you've forgotten to back up.  I have a lot of ram too, but I still have some computers with 512mb and some with even below that much so it does come in handy for me.  I used to have a use for a file shredder when I kept my LBT obsession a secret.  Honestly, it's just good to have these tools.  They're hard to find when you need them and it can't hurt to have them just in case.

Agreed!  Man Austin, thanks!  Most of these tools, I'll definitely find a good use for! Thanks a bundle!
