What sort of symptoms are there?
...A simple answer to this problem would simply be to get another one...
What sort of warranty is on the computer? If you haven't paid for it, I assume it's fairly new.
...That WOULD be a problem then, wouldn't it? Don't know what to tell you...
Is it a desktop or a laptop?
For a desktop I'd say just replace the drive...unless you know for sure that it's a software problem, not a problem with the drive itself. If there is a physical problem with the drive, just replace it. They're quite cheap unless you want a blu-ray drive. B) DVD writer: $30, for example.http://www.memoryexpress.com/Products/PID-MX18666(ME).aspx
I'm not sure how their shipping times are. They're in my city so I've always just went there in person. I assume they ship to the USA though.
WHAT!!! there not in the US!
QuoteWHAT!!! there not in the US! I posted that up to show for example how cheap DVD drives were. It was the first site that came to mind. The addresses are all at the bottom of this page:http://www.memoryexpress.com/Information/ContactUs.aspxThey have no American locations.
