@RainbowFaceProtege: About a couple years ago, we had a new member join (Cloud5001). They hadn't created a welcome thread for themself, so Impractical made this thread for them. But then they turned out to be rather toxic and they insulted a bunch of people and then abruptly bailed from the forum. So then Impractical changed this into a general welcoming thread for new members.

Well, firstly, it was the fact that I had already seen LBT II and LBT III before watching this movie, so I knew that this movie would feature characters I was already familiar with. There was also the fact that I knew it would be the origin story of their friendship, so that was definitely a lure for me.

Ohh, that is interesting. I never really thought of the first movie as being the 'origin story episode' before, since I simply watched the films in order, but that would definitely be a unique way to approach it if you'd already seen the sequels.

For me, it was a movie I could remember from my childhood, but I hadn't seen it in almost two decades. After I happened to see an online article discussing the film's 30th anniversary a few years ago, that's when I was inspired to rent it from my local library and then I fell in love with it all over again. And that's what brought me to this lovely community here.

I welcomed you on your intro thread already, but still, we are pleased to have you. It's my third year with this community now and I'm happy to see that it's still going strong.

Their thumbnails have gotten more polished and professional-looking at least. They used to be pretty laughable. Seems that they're putting in a bit more effort now than they used to.

I have not. Although one time I did see West Bank Story, which was a parody of it.

^Agreed. Chomper's parents are among my favourite characters in the franchise, and thus they're among the characters I most wish we could've seen again. All the more jarring since Chomper himself was part of the main cast in the TV series, but we never got to see his parents again. Maybe they would've shown up if there'd been a second season.
