Well, Selturma and Rex aren't married yet, nor am I planning on making her cheat on him, so that should not be a concern. Thanks for giving me that option anyway.

That may come thrpough, you can't reject that possibilkity, especially with females being very promiscious. Selturma's eyes will wander..as will Rex's that is a virtual certainty..

I would have to ask Metadude about that; Dracon males usually stay monogamous in a middle-class marriage, but if Rex is successful, he will likely take a second wife, if only to increase his prestige. If he is very successful, he will have several wives.

And then we'd see long long Selturma will put up with that. You can't expect a wife to tolerate competition with several other wives for very long..

She would likely take it out on the other wives, not her husband. As it is, she would settle for "favored wife" status.

Which becomes a vicious cycle. Smile for the hubby, scheme against Wife #3 when he's not looking.

Or she could suggest some of her unmarried friend for a second or third wife.

I intended for it to be so... well... kind of like the Islamic world, I guess. Not fair, not equal, and not thinking of others as full human beings... or full Dracon beings, in this case.

Yes I gpot that jist.   when You repress people they cling to whatever they can hold onto, and sometimes that is taboo ..not saying that will happen in our rp, but is a possible outcoome.. you can't create a world whre guys can have 15 wives an d expect that your characters will not mimic that..

Well, Rex is not really in my control. I have been given permission to "borrow" him when Metadude is not around, but I don't think that he would approve of a sweeping change made to his character's life if I were to do something major in his absence.

I won't make that sort of decision for Rex... but that sort of thing is a long time down the road.

I'm not sure if that will be two years real time, or if the RP will accelerate time. Still, it will happen sooner or later.

Probably. I will have to coordinate it with Metadude. Thanks for the advice, though.

Do you think the setting itself is good? I know that I didn't explain every last little facet of it here, and I know that leaving some parts up the the player's interpretation is good...

It is good, and giving me the freedom to have an "enlightened" character is good. Isla doesn't like that unfair social  order., while she ultimately benefits from it, she enjoys helping out the lower class whenever possible. While the nobles can't publicly approve of that... they in practice look the other way..

What noble would do that? Keep in mind that, while you can always make a noble who DOES look the other way as a character, the default would not be that. Of course, I didn't make that so clear here...
