Chip couldn't help but gawk. What was a runner like this doing in a slum like Mud? Which is exactly what he asked.
"How did ya weasel yer way into gettin' him? What, ya kill someone?"
He strode over to the runner and speculated him closely. He was... beautiful, in fact. But this was ridiculous! Didn't he swear he'd never take another runner after Atticus?
Atticus was different! He argued with himself.

Also, your use of the word "slutty" to describe her dress has me all riled up. What you're wearing can be considered "slutty." What I am wearing can be considered "slutty." Every article of clothing can be considered "slutty." Not all "sluts" where revealing and/or formfitting clothes.
I'm not sure I understand what you're saying, there... Not to be disrepectful or anything, and I'm sorry I got you riled up. 'Slutty' is something that gets me riled up :p

She had to change because the directors made it so.

I fully realize the motive, but what I was confused - and more than a little miffed - about was the message. She wasn't happy with who she was, so she changed her appearance. I don't see how that would help (and it ended up not helping her anyway, so what was the point?) It seems people are always doing something like that, and it most often ends up to be something they regret doing, because it was a spur of the moment thing, and they were depressed...
Basically, it makes me mad to see that *shrug*

The highlight, for me, was definitely Olaf! "Oh look at that. I've been impaled."

Same here! :lol He had me and my sister in stitches. "I'll distract them, you run!"

(That was awesome... I need a Lil'Nelly :lol)

Chip grunted. "I ditched my last runner. Ya got any... healthier-lookin' ones?" He snickered at Stirrup. "Well, when he keels over on ya, don't go lookin' fer a free ride."

Beans glowered at the lizard. "Ain't yer call t'make, sir! This here's Rango's decision 'bout when we go." She looked to the little Sheriff for confirmation. "Well?"

The issue of Chip's mortality hadn't really hit him as hard in the past. Sure, he'd been shot, nearly strangled, and thrown off of roofs before, but he always managed to come out on semi-top. He hadn't really thought about not coming back until some random - and in-no-way-fair-at-all! - chuckwalla comes bounding in with a severe impervious-ness to pain! And the only thing stopping him was a tiny little jewel!

He clutched it tightly in his paw now as he swallowed. "M'fine," he muttered. "Jus' sore that's all." He didn't want to admit that he was more than a mite hesitant. Not scared, certainly, but the warning signs had shot up, and there was little use any amount of shoving them back under would do.

"When do we start?"

think the outfit she created was really nice and sleek looking. I don't know how it looks 'slutty'; it's just a nice outfit. It wasn't revealing really, and it was overall quite pretty to look at.
That's fine for you to think so. I never said you couldn't think it was nice-looking. But the outfit she had on before was just as nice, perhaps all the more serious-looking and actually regal. The new outfit - althought granted was pretty - didn't hold any of the regality and charm that her other outfit possessed. What I'm asking is, why did she have to change?

If she was afraid of hurting someone with her power she may have told the servants to just leave her food outside the door and knock and she'd get it herself or knock and wait till she went into another room before she called out it was ok for them to enter. So she may not have even talked to the servants in the years between her parent's death & her coronation.

That was another thing that bothered me. It seemed like the storyline went way too overboard with the whole parents-not-wanting-anybody-to-find out. It seemed too wooden, too puppet-like, too autonomous. Cut off all outside contact? Why didn't they ask Papa Troll for advice on how to control her powers? Or if they didn't want her to have it, why not ask for a reverse spell? They clearly didn't want her to have it, and if it caused them such grief, you'd think they'd want an antidote! Papa Troll didn't offer anything helpful, just made sure Anna didn't freeze as quick as she would have if she'd been struck thorugh the heart (which she ends up getting, albeit several years later.)

Chip tugged back, glaring daggers at the lizard. "Back off an' find yer own mythical gem!"

Beans grimaced. She knew all too well what the final choice would be. She just hoped the good Sheriff had a better understanding of the stakes this time aorund. "Y'all best be gettin' prepped, then." She remarked.

Chip, upon hearing that, jerked his head towards the conversation, wincing a little as his neck stung. "Wait, what? We're still goin'?"

I went into the theater with high expectations for Frozen. I laughed, I gasped, I whimpered... all what you'd expect from a Disney movie. But I can't say I really, really enjoyed it.
First off, Elsa's song Let It Go bugged me (I love the song; about the only thing I loved, besides Olaf) but why in the world did she have to transform into a slutty outfit at the end of her tune?
Anna was somewhat amusing in her naivety but she was almost irritating. I can understand her situation and all, but sheesh, Rapunzal was a more believable ditz.

I came out of the theater trying to make myself like it and I know I'm one of only two people so far who have qualms about it. It seemed like it was a cry to women that 'you don't need a prince'. Hello? That's what Disney is all about. But the ladies in the main roles don't have to be helpless wimps (I can't really think of any Disney princesses who are, though O_o). Rapunzal? Tiana? Cinderella? Mulan? The list goes on...

General Land Before Time / Songs you liked as a kid but not anymore
« on: April 11, 2014, 01:22:04 PM »
Can't say I hate any of the songs - i don't even strongly dislike any of them. They're all catchy and bouncy tunes and more often then not they're pretty funny and/or heartwarming.
Just now I got the Boring Song stuck in my head - now there's a tune I'd hum on any given day, not necessarily if I'm feeling bored, but just because it's hilarious :lol
And the song Always There made me feel all warm and safe inside - even as a child.
Eggs still makes me chuckle and thdere's nothing more I want to do than jump up on a rock and pull an Ozzy-type pose when he he hits that extended note^^

Chip tested the bandage with his paw - it was stiff and alien to him. He felt his hand swatted by Beans.
"Leave it be, 'r it won't never heal!" The liady iguana chided.
Chip flashed her a dark glare, but diverted his attention to Melander the next second. The fact that he'd had such a lucky miss sent a chill up his spine - it was really a chance in a million he hadn't been killed all because of that silly little ruby.
"Ahh, so ya wouldn't happen t'have more o' those stones around?"

Chip winced and squirmed. "Dad-gummit, if ya dig any farther, ya'll come out th'other side!" He waved a paw. "Jus' wrap me up already!" To Rango, the ferret merely rolled his eyes. "Yeah, whatever." He was secretly pleased to have some sort of recognition -- even if it did cost him a bullet in the neck.

Beans' eyes squinted. "Ya think he'll be back?" She tightened her grip on her pistol, as if Bandon were outside this very moment.
Chip scoffed. "If he's afeared - Dammit! Quit pokin'! - o' some little ol' gem, he'll likely stay out o' th'way." He finished with a growl. That chuckwalla had some nasty vengeance coming his way. No one put a bullet in Chip Ferret and got off scot-free.

(Even if they kinda do :DD)

Chip was stunned as ever at this newcomer's sudden appearance. Uhh," was all he could mumble. He pressed the handkerchief against his neck as he was directed, wincing slightly at the sting that accompanied it. "Um, much obliged...?"
Beans eyed the Gila suspiciously. "And where'd you pop in from? He a friend o'yers?" She asked Bad Bill.

Chip grumbled up at Stirrup. "Yeah I got shot. Why? Ya hankerin' fer the same treatment?" He sat up slowly, paw clamped to the side of his neck. "Jus' get me bandaged up. I'll live," he grunted, a little dazed.
Beans stepped out and joined the crowd in the middle of the street. She looked the ferret over. "That was a stupid move ya pulled, y'know. Makin' him mad."
Chip frowned up at her. "Yeah, tell me sumthin' I DON'T know, Miss Beans."
"All the same," the lady lizard continued, "Thanks fer not gettin' the real Sheriff killed."
"My pleasure. Next time, he can show me his gratitude by doin' the same fer me," the ferret's voice dripped with sarcasm. "Now, ya gonna heal me'r what?"

Beans peeked out from behind her wagon. "Well, looks like things is clear," she remarked across to the chameleon. "This how you plannin' on mornings in Mud, Sheriff? With target practice?" She grimaced when she saw the extent of the damage done to the house fronts.
~
Chip had been relieved when he saw Bandon actually hesitate at the little red crystal - imagine, something so tiny could cause such panic - but the next moment, he'd found himself bowled over, his neck stinging.
Letting the rock fall from his grasp, the ferret touched his paw to the side of his throat, feeling warm wet blood staining the fur there. "Great," he muttered, hoarsely. "Ju's great,"

"Gonna need a backup plan, Rango!" Chip yelped, scurrying backwards. "I don't plan on dyin' anytime today!" He broke off when he noticed the pulsing light from the gemstone. "---The hell?"
Snapping his attaention back at the advancing chuckwalla, Chip bradished the jewel like he was holding some sort of larger - and possibly more lethal weapon. "Take another step an' I'll--" I'll what?! Sick this on ya? "I'll sick this on ya!" Wow, creative...
~
"Good!" Beans called back, relief washing over her. "What's goin' on? Y'all start a little fight?"
