Has anyone else seen this?  In my opinion, it was very good.  I can't wait for the sequel (tomorrow at 8:00 pm).

I saw it too. I thought it was pretty good. Songs were catchy.

I find it funny how many people flame this movie like there's no tomorrow, it's like they dislike creative movies like these, and that's kind of sad if you ask me. We could use some more movies like these, but that's just me.

I've seen High School Musical and I've seen Grease and my opinion is that Grease is vastly surerior in every way.  I didn't particularly care for the acting in High School Musical either.

Wait. Did you say sequel "tomorrow"?
You mean "High School Musical 2"?

It was a very good movie. I liked the songs too.  :^.^:

Haven't seen it, however, I've been less than impressed with Disney channel and whats been coming out of it so chances are, High School Musical isn't for me.

Grease wasn't bad, considering most of the actors (save two) were much older than the role they played.  Channing was 30-something. :p

I'm with Petrie on this one. It looks stupid and very typical. Jock does something articulate, so the whole school goes insane over it. Been there, done that...too many times.

I saw a part of it, and it was quite nice. We¥ll do a musical at our school, like the film. I love it to sing^^. I hope I¥ll get much parts where I can sing. :^.^:

I thought it looked rather cheesy. There was some good use of Disney humor, and the songs weren't too bad, but I dunno...I guess I didn't like that movie all too much.

Disney would do better to make a REAL musical. ;) ;)

Would something like The Lion King or Marry Poppins fall into this category? Because those two are classic awesomeness.

As am I. Just looks like a mixture of Grease and any Disney Channel show, in my opinion.

Yes, LK and Mary Poppins would.  I was thinking more on the line of a possible remake of classic musicals like they did with Meredith Willson's Music Man (though I don't get Matthew Broderick as Harold Hill).

Disney couldn't make a real musical now, even if they wanted. "High School Musical" is about as good as it gets now. Eisner ruined the company.

Yep. Ruined it, burned it down, and pissed on the ashes. <_<

Hopefully it will revive some now that hes out of the picture.
