Hi!
In order for such a quiz about the historical accuracy of movies we first need to know which movies everyone participating knows. So I'll try to list all the "historically based" movies I watched that may be known and that may provide some interesting questions. Here is my first list (in no particular order):

Braveheart
Gettysburg
Glory
The Patriot
Gladiator
Pearl Harbor
The Battle of Midway
Tora Tora Tora
Gods and Generals
Titanic
The battle of Britain
Son of the morning star

Titanic is the only one I can actually pop in and watch on a whim.

I have seen Braveheart, Glory, and Pearl Harbor but I haven't seen them in such a long period of time I don't remember what went on.

Glory (i think only once or twice)
The Patriot (once so far)
Gladiator (also only once)
Pearl Harbor
Tora Tora Tora
Far and Away
the Crucible
Little Big Man

There was one other movie I saw which was about the infamous Monkey Trials, which starred George C. Scott and John Lennon, but I forgot the name.

So far Pearl Harbor seems to be the only movie everyone has seen. I cannot watch the movie myself to check anything out, as I don't have the DvD. However, it is one the movies which almost consists of historical mistakes only, so it will be easy to make up questions about this. The only problem is that it will be difficult to formulate questions without giving away the answers already. On the other hand there are mistakes difficult to notice unless one really read a lot about it. Anyway, I'll give it a try:
What was wrong in the movie about the communication between the crews of the Doolittle Raid and the basis in Pearl Harbor?

In fact that communication did not happen at all. There was no radio on any of the planes that had a range large enough to send signals to Pearl Harbor.

I'll do the next question.

Which real-life Count was played as a villain by Cristopher Lee in an award-winning Geroge Lucas-created movie series?

Sorry, that series was done by Hammer Film Productions, which is not affiliated with Lucas. Try again!

Count Dooku is not a real person, or even one of this galaxy :). However, he was the answer I deliberately crafted the question to imply. But that's not right.

Here's another hint: the series is the Young Indiana Jones Chronicles.

Sure. The right answer was Count Ottokar Czernin, a diplomat for the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
