Alright, been bouncing around this idea in my head for a while, and I've decided that it's worth a shot to create a sequel to Darwin's Soldiers.
The basic premise would be that, several years after the end of Disruptive Selection, biological and technical augmentations have proceeded rapidly. However, both non-augmented and augmented superiority groups have been gaining in momentum, several times erupting into outright violence on both sides.
Now, however, beneath the evident conflict, something deeper has begun brewing, something that threatens both Augments and non-augments...

Random Role Play / From Darkness, Into Light
« on: January 25, 2014, 02:51:46 AM »2013. The world is much like the one we live in today, but with one difference. Instead of Humans, the world is instead populated by anthropomorphic Dinosaurs. 6 years ago, however, the world was shaken to it's very foundations due to the actions of a mysterious cult. They attempted to tear open the boundaries between worlds, and in fact, very nearly succeeded. However, before they could, a group of heroes stopped them, barely averting calamity. This tear was thought sealed, but as of recently, strange occurrences have begun to crop up again, very nearly resembling six years ago, to the few who remember those days. Strange, eye-like graffiti, missing persons...and at times, a strange, almost ghostly replica of the real world seeming to appear...
Now the heroes of the past must work together with others who seek to discover the root of this anomaly, and in doing so, prevent the world from coming to ruin once again...

Raven's Nest Offices- 5:30pm
Dante sighed, shuffling together another stack of client requests. It had been six years since he and the others had stopped the Cult of the Eyes from reviving the being know as the "Watcher", and since then, he had stepped back from field work, opening up the office known as "Raven's Nest", a firm specializing in finding work for mercenaries and vigilantes alike. He looked back at his desk, noticing a stack he had compiled earlier, then froze. Adorning several of the pages were photos of graffiti found at the scenes where the crimes had happened. Normally, he wouldn't much concern himself over such details, but this time...
The graffiti was of a single eye, the same mark as the Watcher's cultists had used...

Makoto Kagegami flipped aside, effortlessly dodging the first thug's burst of fire, swinging his large rifle up to block a knife swing from a second thug as he landed. Without hesitation, he swung through, landing a swift kick to the thug with the knife, then taking aim with his rifle, firing a swift shot to disarm the thug with the gun. Sprinting forward, he leapt into the air, spinning over the now-unarmed thug and landing a flipping kick, rolling away as he landed. Standing up, he placed his rifle on the ground and ran a hand through his hair with a grin.
"Well, that was easy."
He chuckled, as the cityscape faded away around him. As the last bits of the pixellated sky faded away above him, revealing a blank grey room, he smirked and rolled his neck, walking to the door and opening it.
20xx. The next stage of humankind has at long last surfaced. Large numbers of humans have begun to manifest a wide array of advanced powers, from simple things like telekinesis, to incredibly dangerous powers such as generation of elemental forces. In response to these appearing powers, several institutes dedicated to teaching those who show such gifts how to control and harness their powers, in order to reduce the risk they pose to others and themselves.
The Colorado Mountain Academy is one such academy, and these are the stories of the academy residents...

Role Play Discussion / Star Wars: Neo Jedi Order

So, since the last one seems to have hit a stall point, I suppose I'll throw out a new storyline idea!
This one would be set after Episode VI, revolving around the initial class of Luke Skywalker's Jedi Academy. In short, Luke has begun to rebuild the Jedi Order after it's fall, and has begun recruiting Force-Sensitives. Coming from all ages and ways of life, these new Jedi will experience clashes with not only remnants of the Empire, but also from their own varied backgrounds and outlooks.
Anyone interested?

Haru flounced around the spacious house that had been procured for them, using his unicorn magic to put up a few more decorations. It was the holiday season once again, and, with a little pleading, he and a few others had secured a large manor for a party. He didn't know who all the guests would be yet, but he was eager to find out. Not too far away from him, Thunderclap, his coltfriend, was flying about, hangin decorations where he couldn't reach. His older brother Jin was out with his marefriend, getting some food and last-minute supplies, and one of his friends, Hikari Makoto was upstairs doing some tidying up. He hummed happily to himself, tail flicking happily as he heard a knock at the door...
Adrian, along with Shannon, made their way towards the address on the card that had been delivered to the house they shared with their squadmate Vergil, looking forward to a party with whoever else would be there. The two were dressed in their military dress uniforms, both cutting an impressive sight as they rode their bikes down the road towards their destination...
Makoto smiled, making his way along another of the bridges that made up the Thread of Hope, Tai Lung walking alongside him. A winter holiday party invitation had been delivered to the Jade Palace, and, although none of the residents knew the location, it did provide them with a place they did know to go to...
Dante, along with his mate Hunter, and his adopted brother Longtail, made their way out of the Great Valley, towards the very cave that had led them to it in the first place. None of them knew why, but something was calling them. Something warm, inviting...happy. Who knew what awaited them on the way?
Sieg glanced up from his desk, smiling a little as he got out of his seat, making his way to the window and smiling out. Something was happening, and he knew that whatever it was, he wasn't missing it for the world...

The Valley of Peace. A place far removed from the hustle and bustle of the world beyond. A place where conflicts are rare, and those that do arise are swiftly ended by the six valiant Masters of Kung Fu who defend the Valley. The Five Legendary Masters known collectively as the Furious Five, and the Heroic Dragon Warrior. However, outside the Valley, dark clouds of war and malice have begun gathering, threatening to consume the whole of the world. In order to save their beloved home, the Masters must forge new bonds, as well as accept the most unlikely of aid...

Thread of Hope-Outside the Valley of Peace
"Are you absolutely certain that we're going the right way? We seem to have been hiking for ages, and I feel as if we have made no progress whatsoever."
A white peacock complained, as a large, grey-furred wolf nodded in agreement, tongue drooping out of his mouth as they walked. Ahead of the pair, a muscular snow leopard sighed, turning around with a small smirk.
"No, of course I don't know my way back to my own home, even though I found my way back after being locked up for years."
The leopard responded, rolling his eyes as he shook his head.
"Now, are you two done whining yet, so that we can get to the Jade Palace? Or would you rather I carry you, 'Lord' Shen?"
He said mockingly, as the Peacock irately ruffled his feathers and huffed, straightening his robes.
"Now, now. There's no need to be so rude, Tai Lung. After all, some of us are carrying more than others. And besides. I am still trying to figure out some way that they will listen to us, rather than have us thrown into Chorh-Gom the instant we set foot in the palace."
He said, as the wolf next to him nodded and looked at yet another of the bridges.
"Ugh...More bridges. Great."
The wolf sighed, propping himself up on his warhammer...

A tall cheetah wove his way through the crowds in the market, skillfully dodging around the pedestrians as he made his way along the streets, stopping and taking a look at the various booths and stalls as he did. Finally stopping at one, he purchased a small bundle of bean buns, and, once he had paid for them and left, looked up towards the Jade Palace. Smiling to himself, he took a bun from the bundle they had been wrapped in, and, taking a bite of it, smiled to himself.
"The Jade Palace. Home of the legendary Dragon Warrior, and the Furious Five... How exciting."
He murmured to himself, and then, with a chuckle, looked back the bun in his hand.
"These are really, really good, too. What a spectacular day this is turning out to be..."
He said, once again making his way towards the Palace...

Anyone remember the show Teen Titans from Cartoon Network? Well, this is based on that same principal.
Superhumans. They exist among us, many acting the part of civilians to disguise their identities. This story focuses on a group of young men and women who, when not actively saving the world, masquerade as normal schoolkids. However, they all share one secret in common. They all possess unique powers and abilities, and act as heroes at the end of the day. However, unlike many heroes, some of their classmates and teachers know about their activities, giving them a great deal of leeway and occasionally, some "special" attention from fans.
These heroes will not only have to deal with saving the world, but also with all the drama of school...

Canterlot-Celestia College Dormitories- Move In Day
"WHAT? WHAT THE BUCK DO YOU MEAN THERE WAS A 'MISTAKE'?!"
A rather beleaguered-looking receptionist stared fixedly at the blue-furred and rainbow-maned young mare in front of her, the one who had just abruptly interrupted her studying of the assignments for the incoming students. Clearing her throat, she glanced back at her papers.
"Miss Rainbow Dash, please keep your voice down. As much as I'm sure that the faculty would approve of separating you, Miss Fluttershy and the young colt you will be rooming with, there are simply no other rooms with any vacancies. We sincerely apologize and..."
Before she could finish, she was cut off by another outburst from Rainbow Dash.
"LIKE HAY YOU DO!! I SWEAR IF THIS WASN'T A SCHOOL I'D..."
As Rainbow Dash attempted to continue her rant, a soft, delicate hand on her shoulder made her stop mid-threat as a yellow-furred pegasus with a delicate pink mane peeked out a little.
"It's fine, Rainbow. I don't mind, and who knows? M-maybe we'll make a new friend."
She said in her quiet, melodious voice. Meanwhile, five floors up, a young male pegasus was lugging a set of luggage rather unsuccessfully down a hallway, finally stopping in front of a door, looking at it, and then sighing to himself and shrugging as he fished for his key card. Engraved on a placard on the door was the room number, as well as three names.

Bankshot Kickback
Smirking at the last of the three names, he casually grabbed a sheet of paper and a marker, scribbling something down before capping the marker again and going back to the door, taping something over the bottom of the placard. He stared at it a moment longer, then nodded, shutting the door and moving his things to the corner of the room, hopping onto one of the beds and waiting for his new roommates...

The year is 1850. The place, London. A world much like the one in history books, but yet considerably different. In this world, Steam Power has been perfected, with the advent of the "Perpetual Steam Engine". A device that never overpressurizes, never fails...and never runs out of steam. With this remarkable device powering everything from homes to cars, to the latest invention by another scientist, the world has expanded exponentially. England has spread it's wings across all the continents, gaining knowledge, wealth, and a vast store of new ideas. Foremost among their discoveries is the confirmed existence of the supernatural, and subsequently, their acceptance of said entities into their daily lives. On the streets of London, it is not uncommon to see Werebeasts, anthropomorphic animals, and even ghosts inside special containment suits walking among the humans. However, even such a marvelous discovery has a dark side. Whispers have circulated about fanatical cults determined to awaken entities that were never meant to awake, or to purge one race or another from the planet. These cults grow ever bolder, seeking their nefarious aims, their schemes endangering the good people of England...
Thus, the Doyle Academy for Supernatural Studies and Defense was founded. Oddly for an institution of the times, it accepts those from any walks of life, inasfar as they demonstrate a degree of physical proficiency, some semblance of wit, and above all, an unfailing work ethic. Within it's walls, students will learn both the wonders of a classical education, and, perhaps more importantly, the practical study of defending England and her neighbours from threats both human and non.

Okay, so I've been bouncing around RP ideas in my head, and this one stood out most of all.
What if, in the world of Kingdom Hearts, the Villains were winning? What if the heroes of their worlds were either dead or missing? What if the princesses had to take up their roles in protecting their worlds?
That is the world of this RP. Canon Kingdom Hearts worlds, as well as any other animated Disney film are fair game, but the main heroes (In game terms, the ones who join your party) are all missing, and/or dead. Side-characters and main female leads are still alive, but most are radically different now.
Keyblades have begun surfacing more and more, seemingly choosing wielders to correct the imbalance of light and dark. It is into this bleak hour that the heroes of the story will arrive...

War. War never changes.
Equestria has died. A war between Zebras and Ponies has left Equestria ravaged and scorched, devoid of all life. However, this apocalypse was not the end. Deep beneath the ground, in thousands of "Stables", Ponies, Zebras, and even some Gryphons survived. Now, thousands of years after the end of the war, a few brave souls have begun venturing out of the Stables, taking in the wasteland, and beginning to shape it once again.
Will these souls rise to be heroes? Or will they fall to the depths of Villainy?
Equestria has died. A war between Zebras and Ponies has left Equestria ravaged and scorched, devoid of all life. However, this apocalypse was not the end. Way back in 2007, there was a group that started up a small RP called In Darkness. Unfortunately, that RP fell by the wayside, but the idea has been in my head for quite some time, so...here goes.

However, 6 years ago, the world was shaken to it's very foundations due to the actions of a mysterious cult. They attempted to tear open the boundaries between worlds, and in fact, very nearly succeeded. However, before they could, a group of heroes stopped them, barely averting calamity. This tear was thought sealed, but as of recently, strange occurrences have begun to crop up again, very nearly resembling six years ago, to the few who remember those days. Strange, eye-like graffiti, missing persons...and at times, a strange, almost ghostly replica of the real world seeming to appear...
Now the heroes of the past must work together with others who seek to discover the root of this anomaly, and in doing so, prevent the world from coming to ruin once again...

The year is 21XX. It has been nearly a century since the discovery of the first Anthromorphic human, or as they came to be known, "furries". They have since integrated into society as a whole, bringing their unique talents to the world. However, since then, strange phenomena have begun occuring. Tears in the fabric of reality have begun to crop up. And where these breaches appear, there are monsters following. Mutations that have become advanced and begun hunting humans and furries alike. In response to these attacks, the governments of the world have united to create the Titan Project. Producing mechanical suits designed to combat these intrusions, an array of pilots have been selected, trained, and deployed in combat. However, this war has turned into a losing battle. Pilots are being lost faster than they can be trained, and so the governments have begun to recruit volunteer pilots, though only a select few can adapt to the project. This is their story. This is their legacy...
