The Fridge / If you were a movie character, who would you want to be?
« on: February 01, 2023, 09:20:35 AM »
If you could become a movie, or cartoon character from any movie, or series, who would you want to switch places with, or how would you want to become otherwise part of the world?

I would like to become one of the Warner brothers from Animaniacs, because they can travel to locations back in time, or mythological and fantasy worlds, meet a lot of interesting people, or events, and they seem to be carefree, fun-loving, and torment bad people by their zaniness, and antics.

About switching places with character, I would rather be a whole new character, but if so, I would switch places with Wakko Warner.

Let's say, that you if you had the possibility not only to know exactly, what would happen, and what would be the world like today, but also enjoy some things, for example books, movies, newspaper, or anything else, or meet people from the alternate universe to know even more about it, what alternate history would you like to explore? No matter, that it is impossible.

My top choice would be, if Germany won WW1 in 1918, then I would also like to know, what if Germany restored monarchy in 1930s, and did not start WW2, and what if Nationalist China won Chinese Civil war. And as a Czech, I have to say, that scenario, what if Czechoslovakia had fought in 1938 would I also like to know, what would happen.

Silver Screen / If you could see a movie with alternate plot
« on: January 08, 2022, 02:00:57 AM »
Let's say, if creators of  some movie decided to make the same movie, or series of movies again to show, how the story would be different if one moment changed, and it would be again of a good quality and story, what movie would like to see with this modification?

I would be interested, how Harry Potter would unfold, if in movie 3 Peter Pettigrew did not escape. Also it would be interesting, what would happen, if Harry would be in Slytherin, or if one of his parents survived. In Star Wars, if Qui Gonn lived, and it would be interesting for me, what would happen, if Obi Wan joined Dooku in movie 2.

The Fridge / Furry community, fandom
« on: January 01, 2022, 08:12:11 PM »
I have found few topics in the midnight Archive, I am reviving it, but I did not find the right category there, so i am putting it here.

What do you think about Furry Community? Are you a fan, or do you have anything to say about it?

Personally, I always found that interesting, and anthropomorphic characters in general are my most favorite characters, and recently started to look at furaffinity, even though I did not register, but I will probably later do it in near future. I found there many interesting pictures about anthropomorphic characters from movies, games, etc. that I had not found elsewhere much. I have never talked about the fandom personally offline, if I remember.

I am also looking forward to near future, where will be some good VR game with anthropomorphic characters with very advanced possibilities in many things, that are now still too complicated.

There are probably more, but I would like to befriend especially Timon and Pumbaa from Lion King, Yakko, Wakko from Animaniacs, and Guilmon from Digimon tamers.

The Fridge / What years do you consider your happiest?
« on: July 05, 2021, 03:00:29 PM »
My happiest years would be probably 2014, and 2017. I still had my issues, but in the long run, things were looking up, my efforts were more succesful, than other years, and less bad things did strike me. At least in this way I remember them.

Sports / Running
« on: June 17, 2021, 04:16:55 PM »
Hello, have you ever tried to start to run regularly? Did you persevere? How well it did go?
I started in 2012 for the first time, it took a while to learn to run without stops, when I just walk to gain strength again, but I succeeded, then stop, then I started many times again, and stopped, and finally in maybe January 2016 I finally did not stop, in june 2017 I broke my elbow while running, and I even ran few races since 2018, even though I am not very good at it. I have fond memories on every race, that I took part of, even bad performances, and running helps me to relieve stress.
I especially like running around villages, small hills, field roads near my home.

Gamers Zone / Age of Empires
« on: April 22, 2021, 09:08:02 PM »
Have you played any of Age of Empires game? How you liked it? I played only Age of Empires III, I spent a lot of time playing most times the campaigns, and when I got the III Definitive edition, I enjoyed multiplayer as British too, even though I lose often. My favorite missions in campaigns were challenging defensive missions, where I had to remain alive within the time limit.

The Fridge / Mokele Mbembe
« on: April 21, 2021, 09:46:56 PM »
What do you think about Mokele Mbembe? Do you dismiss it, or do you think, that there is some chance, that it could really exist in those huge, but still very little explored rainforests? Would you like it to be true? :chomper

I do not exactly believe, but because these rainforests are still so secluded, I still cannot utterly dismiss it for myself.

The Fridge / Your favorite junk food, or drink
« on: April 17, 2021, 06:23:08 PM »
What is your favorite junk food? I like KFC, Mc Donalds, pizzas, and diet Pepsi.

It can also be a mixture of two characters, only limit is, that in this topic, no LBT characters are allowed.

I think, that it could be Scat from Dink the little dinosaur in my case, because he, like Petrie, or Guido, is very nervous, quirky, paranoid, but overcomes his fears, when it is necessary, and one thing not particularly featured in LBT about Petrie and Guido, he also likes good food, which is quite similar to me too.

Gamers Zone / Being scared because of computer game
« on: March 23, 2021, 08:15:15 PM »
Do you remember, especially during childhood, that you were scared about anything in any PC game, and may even feared to play it?
I remember, that Harry Potter 1 PC, I was scared, when I had to escape from Filch at night in library.

In Harry Potter II PS2, I was scared, when I had to go in magical menagerie, and the shopkeeper was chasing me.

Then I played some Czech freeware game, that when I lost the game, symbols of the game turned into skulls, and I was scared very much by it.

I vaguely remember, that in Commander Keen, on windows 98, I was scared of some monsters in the game.
Last thing, that I can remember now is, that in The Sims 2, when a person died, I was scared of the Grim Reaper, when it appeared.

Gamers Zone / Angels with scaly wings
« on: February 10, 2021, 09:25:23 PM »
I happened to buy this game on steam, and I really liked it. It is a visual novel. It has interesting motives, dragons, who are living in a society similar to ours, who meet people, who travel in their world, and to get the real ending, you have to go through the game from the beginning many times (i will not write more because of SPOILER). I especially liked Lorem.
Has someone here played it too?

Gamers Zone / Digimon games
« on: January 11, 2021, 09:55:12 PM »
Did any one of you play any digimon game? I was a long-time fan of pokemon, I liked digimon too, but I did not notice for a very long time, that even digimon series has a lot of games too.

I played digimon world: Next order. If I remember well, I played more then 70 hours.  The speed of the game was slow, because digimon were ageing and dying many times, only to be reborn with slightly better skills over and over again. The game difficulty was also challenging, I died many times by slightly overestimating enemies, picking raw materials, and thus improving Floatia was also good, as well as system of improvement. I did not finish it, though.

Then Cyber Sleuth, and Cyber Sleuth: Hackers Memory. The Story was very elaborated, interesting, with many smaller quests, many digimon. The idea, that in the game, I can most time freely go either in very large number of digital worlds in the virtual reality, and then go back, and battling in some of them, is very appealing to me. It isn't walk in the park, I have to train  the digimon a little, otherwise the enemies will soon be too strong for me.
The game also is certainly not for just a few evenings, it requires a lot more time, and I even watched the story again on youtube, because these two games require concentration on the story, if I want to grasp it more, and if I forget some important details, it can very decrease the experience.
Cyber Sleuth: Hackers memory is basically the same, with a few good improvements and more digimon.

One thing, that I would love, would be, that new digimon games would include also much more elaborated communication with own digimon, option to play with them, make them better friends, even play as them, or something that sort of thing. Pokemon Y, and Ultra Moon, and even Pokemon Let's Go included some of these things, and I am sure, that these things nowadays are very feasible, unlike 10-15 years ago.

Gamers Zone / Which game did you ¨spend most time on? In your life?
« on: January 10, 2021, 03:37:04 PM »
I think, that it is GTA San Andreas. Even though I did finish it only once (storyline), I certainly did start it playing from the beginning many, many times, and enjoyed the game during the missions. First time I played is maybe 2005.

Few others, which fall a little behind:

Gothic III

The Witcher I, I did play it in Czech, then in English, Polish, and I have a lot of good memories, the way of battles, good story, dialogues, good atmospherics, i simply love it.

Pokemon Gold edition is also worth mentioning. Due to my lack of knowledge of languages in my elementary school days, I did not understand nearly anything, so it happened to me many times, that I was stuck, did not know, what to do, and after a long time, I happened to beat this obstacle, move forward, and finally stuck again, until I finally finished the game for the first time. Because of so much time spent on this game, I very rarely lose, because I play it always the same time-proven way, and if I lose, it is just one or two losses between start and finish.
Pokemon Red is similar, but I played it a bit less.

I spent a lot of time playing also few other games, but I doubt, that any other will be close to these.

The Welcome Center / Hello LBT fans
« on: November 16, 2020, 08:21:53 AM »
Hello.  :)

(Sorry for possible grammar errors, english is not my first language)

I am a fan of Land Before Time for a long time, in my elementary school days I saw  V, VI, VIII, XI,. Many years later, 2015 I happened to watch LBT again, watched I through XII in Czech, (my first language), after huge disappointment with Czech dub of LBT series,  I watched not only the series, but also every movie in English dub (apart from XI).  I watch some LBT movie or episode now and then. I know this forum since few years ago, but I did not register until now.
