This is for discussing the characters , plot and ideas for " After The Storm". I think we simply forgot to put a thread like this up back in 2019 when we started.

Hi guys, once again this year  we have a tie for one of the awards. this year, we had a tie for Friendly Member runnerup, betwen Mumbling and StardustSoldier , who both got 4 votes.
 To Break the tie, we will have a second round of voting starting on Wednesday 10-2 at midnight  and running for a week until Midnight on 10-10.  Voters are to pick between the candidates, although the candidates themselves are not permitted to vote in the category for which they are nominated.  IF there is still a tie after the tiebreaker period ends, then the admins will vote to break the tie. The winner of the vote will get  the runner-up banner. A second post below will hold a running tally of the voters cast and where we stand so far in the voting.  I will add votes as they come in.

President George HW Bush  ( Bush 41 for short) has died at the age of 94. Bush served one term as president from 1989-1993, and is mostly remembered for being president when the Soviet Union collapsed and driving Saddam Hussein out of Kuwait in Operation Desert Storm. Bush was one of only two presidents( John Adams was the other) to have his son  also become president, the Harrisons were grandfather and grandson.

 Well we've finally come to the final award of this voting season- the Appreciated award!. Anyone who received votes in the awards, but didnt win an award is eligible  for this award- Provided that they cast enough votes  in the main awards to be eligible. The Awards will be be open for 2 weeks starting at midnight tonight, and will end on the 21st.  After voting ends, we will announce the final list of winners and runners up, assuming we dont have yet another tie. Eligible members will be listed in the next post below.

The Great fox sped through space, headed towards the snowy planet of Fichina. After dealing with trouble in section 12 courtesy of Star wolf, Fox figured it was time for a much needed vacation. His team was much larger now, a result of accepting memberships application from Katt, Fara and a young dog soldier named Rufus, as well as reactivating former members like Miyu and Fay, who were quick to make themselves comfortable onboard the Great Fox, which had undergone renovations to allow for more members. it also had a cafeteria now, and much improved food- Slippy might be a good mechanic, Fox thought, but his cooking left a lot to be desired.

_ Katt entered the main control room, dressed in her pink uniform. " Thanks for getting me a uniform to match my color Fox" the pink cat grinned as she approached Fox."I also have a ski board, so i can shred some some snow mounds in the Western Plateau. what will you be doing Fox?'" "Sending invoices to General Pepper and the governments in Sector 12 for  reimbursement. There's also the matter of cleaning up that race you entered above Solar which ended up in a dogfight' " Hey don't blame me for that, the other racers played dirty!" Katt said.' "besides I won both the fight and the race.' i already have one hot head on my team Katt. i don;t need another." " Krystal and I talked it out' Katt assured him "Good, just make sure something like that doesn't become a regular occurrence. We're pros here Katt, always remember that. a team member does something to make the team look bad, it makes me look bad by extension. I put Krystal in charge because shes got a good head on her shoulders, and she gets along well with others. " Fox said.

"The fact that shes my roommate doesn't hurt either" Katt smiled " What you two do at home and off the clock is your own affair, I don't care if you girls go on shopping sprees or go to dance halls or parties. What I do care about is your conduct while in the Arwing.' Fox said ' "Maybe some skiing and sledding will burn off some of the energy and vigor of yours.?" " Always the leader and pro, eh Fox?" Katt said with a smile' "That's what so endearing about you, that alpha male stuff. Me, well I'm more a loner than anything, but you guys have got such a reputation for being heroes that I couldn't pass up an opportunity to  be a part of it."

"More teammates does mean more jobs, and more coin. It also means, however, more expenses if we have team members go off script." Fox held up a device , similar to the one he wore '"Slippy invented these so that we can keep track of who is trying to contact us,  each teammate corresponds with the first letter of their name and their color.  Yours is a pink K - naturally, Falcos is a blue F, Slippy a green S, Me a red F, Krystal a blue K, Fara a brown F, Miyu  a orange M and Fay a white F" Fox said and he handed the device to Katt .

 Fara stuck her head in  from the door opening" "Katt! Girl Team meeting in Hanger 4. Krystal, Miyu and Fay are already there, they sent me to fetch you. Unless I'm interrupting a dressing down for that Solor race, In which case, Just send her to hangar 4 Fox when you are done skewering her."
 "No Fara, no dressing down, this time. We're on vacation now, and I'm willing to let more slide" Fox replied" Coming! Coming! Katt said, hooking up her device and headed for the door. Fara was the second in command of the girls group, and wasn't afraid to pull rank if needed.

Hi Guys!
 Nick here welcoming you all to another Awards season. We've tweaked  the rules a bit this year, and made some changes to the number of awards as well as how long the awards will go for. In truth, participation in the awards has been quite low for quite some time now. Part of that can be traced to any number of factors-  Real life getting in the way, lack of interest , or simply the fact that the forum isnt  quite as active as it was 5 years ago. We intend to try and improve on the number of people participating in the awards this year. Towards that end, we have combined the  Friendly awards with the Helpful award, and dropped the Philosopher award, narrowing the awards you have to vote for to 5 (4 if you choose to skip 1) and doubled the time frame you have to finish voting, from 2 weeks to a month.  if you finish voting, but your friends havent, or havent started, encourage them to do so. This is a fun event that helps us as a community recognize those who have made contributions over the past year. However this goes both ways. Its not much fun for us as admins to hold an event like this  , if less than 10% of regular members take the time to participate. so, If you have the time over the next month to vote, please do so.

hi guys
 some good news to report on my end. my brother and his wife are expecting their second child. you may remember their first child Adelaide passed away unexpectedly last summer. we don;t know yet whether its going to be a boy or girl- i'm hoping for a boy- and  the child is expected to come either in May or June.

this will be the discussion thread of the " the Wandering pirate ship about a cursed ship captained by a pirate who thinks hes part of a broadway play, crew men who keep threatening to mutinty, and many various other xcharacters. any character from the cafe series or elsewhere is welcome.
