General Land Before Time / Re: Idea for Land Before Time Stage Musical
« on: April 27, 2022, 09:00:38 PM »
It's a splendid idea indeed. I've already got a Google Docs document of the script. For the musical, there would need to be an overture, scenes with some songs for Act I, an Entr' Acte before the start of Act II, the scenes and songs in Act II, then bows and exit music to conclude the stage musical. I've studied and listened to some of music and songs from The Lane Before Time as well. So far, I think that Peaceful Valley would be an excellent opening number, with Imaginary Friend being one of the songs in Act I. Of course, If We Hold On Together has to be somewhere in Act II, with the main theme being the bows and exit music somehow. It would be nice to collaborate with others to get a script going to see if a read-through would be possible.

The Party Room / Re: When Was The Last Time You......

About sometime last week. I decided to set the color filter on my computer to black and white to focus more on the music and dialogue, as colors can be attention grabbing on occasion.

When was the last time you visited an amusement/theme park?

General Land Before Time / Re: Rank the songs in each movie!
« on: April 12, 2022, 10:13:33 PM »
Here are my rankings and notes for the songs from The Land Before Time:

LBT 1: If We Hold On Together  (Note: the only song from this movie and the best one of them all. A good closing number at the end of Act II for a musical.)
LBT 2: Peaceful Valley > You're One of Us Now > Eggs      (Note: Peaceful Valley feels like an excellent opening number for a musical.)
LBT 3: Standing Tough > Kids Like Us > When You're Big                  (Note: That guitar riff is a gem and an excellent solo number for Cera's dad.)
LBT 4: It Takes All Sorts > Grandma's Lullaby > Who Needs You?    (Note: Leslie Bricusse was a gem. It Takes All Sorts would fit very well in a musical.)
LBT 5: Always There > Big Water > Friends For Dinner                                              (Note: All three of these songs are awesome, with all three possible to be in a musical.)
LBT 6: On Your Own > The Lone Dinosaur > Bad Luck                                              (Note: On Your Own and Bad Luck would be possible in a musical. On Your Own is the best solo song for Littlefoot.)
LBT 7: Beyond the Mysterious Beyond > Very Important Creature > Good Inside           (Note: Beyond the Myseterious Beyond feels like an excellent finale at the end of Act I for a musical.)
LBT 8: Family > The Lesson > The Mad Song                                                               (Note: Family would fit well in a musical.)
LBT 9: Imaginary Friends > The Boredom Song > No One Has to be Alone          (Note: Imaginary Friends would be possible in a musical.)
LBT 10: Bestest Friends > Me and My Dad > Adventuring                                        (Note: Bestest Friends would suit well in a musical.)
LBT 11: Girls and Dads > If Only > Creepy Crawlies                    (Note: Girls and Dads just slaps. It would suit very well in a musical. Kinda like the "I want" song for Cera.)
LBT 12: Flip, Flap and Fly > Things Change > One of a Kind     (Note: Flip, Flap, and Fly would suit as a song to showcase Petrie overcoming a challenge towards the end of a musical.)
LBT 13: Say So > How do you Know? > Yellow Belly Bounce (Note: None of these would never be considered for a stage musical.)
LBT 14: Look for the Light > Hot and Stinky > Today's the Day > Better off Alone (Note: I'm sorry, but see LBT 13 for the same reason.)

I will definitely put a list togther for a two-act version of "The Land Before Time Musical" someday as well.

Sound Off! / Re: What are you listening to?
« on: April 04, 2022, 08:23:36 PM »
Whenever I get the chance, I enjoy listening to a playlist of my favorite songs from the LBT sequel movies. I'm also trying to put together a playlist that would work well for a staged musical, with an overture at the start of Act I, the songs featured in Act I, an entra'acte at the start of Act II, the songs of Act II, and a finale at the end of Act II.

General Land Before Time / Re: Favorite LBT Song

I would have to say that my favorite song is “It Takes All Sorts,” from Land Before Time IV: Journey Through The Mists. With lyrics by Leslie Bricusse, it just feels absolutely wholesome. I would love to take part in a collaboration of singing this song someday in future.

Welcome to the Forums! Rollercoaster enthusiast, neat! What is one of your favorites: design or one you have rode.

Thank you! At the moment, I would say that my favorite wooden rollercoaster is The Beast at Kings Island in Mason, Ohio. My favorite steel rollercoaster would have to be Superman: The Ride at Six Flags New England in Agawam, MA.
